Etc at the end of the season
You'll secure rewards based on the highest rank you earn during the season
Even if your final standing is lower
We don't want the fear of losing more to stop you from playing each season will bring a unique set of awards
You can only earn from playing ranked
So season one's rewards will include a ranked emblem for the highest rank you achieve that
season plus pinnacle gun style title, diamond gun style, platinum gun style, gold runner
shells to style destroyer title, silver player background.

And then of course, the the emblems.

Ranked opens up for play on weekends with each weekend featuring a different planet side zone perimeter dire marsh or outposts

When you queue for ranked, you have two options, low stakes and high stakes.
These are separate matchmaking pools with different requirements for entry.
Low-stake skew, ranked, minimum gear ante, 3,000, minimum holotack tier, bronze, okay?
High stakes, minimum gear ante, 10,000, minimum holotack tier, platinum.
Oh, shit, you know that's gonna be so sweaty.
Note that the first week in a rank will only have low-stake skew available to get
players a chance to start climbing the ladder and prepare for high stakes.
Let's break down gear ante and holotacks.
So gear ante.
Guarantees the minimum requirements on your equipped gears value in credits for reference the 3000 guarantee is about the equivalent of a set of enhanced green gear with a few deluxe blue pieces the 10,000 guarantee is about the equivalent of a set of deluxe gear with a few superior purple pieces

If it's only on the weekends, I know you guys didn't play destiny, but in destiny, we had something called trials or we still have trials of a Cyrus, which is a 3v3 mode.
Where back in the day, you had to go flawless. And what that meant is you would play seven games. And if you won every single game, you would make your way to a place called the lighthouse, which had the best loot for PVP.
And some of it was really good for PvE.
And so you can imagine how sweaty this would be because everyone is trying to go for their
flawless runs.
Trials is not comp.

Now there are six tiers of holotacks.
Bronze, Silver, and Gold, Lowestakes, Platinum, Diamond, and Pinnacle for Highestakes.
You can purchase up to your current rank of holotack tier in the Armory.
So if you're Gold, you can purchase Gold, Silver, and Bronze holotacks.
If you're Platinum, you can unlock Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, etc.

Now how does the scoring work?
You have a score target set by your team's hollow tag values
Loot valuable items to get score
Once you reach your score target X field to get rated points
If you X field before you hit the targets, you don't get rated points. If you die
You lose rated points based on your team's hollow tag values
You can get bonus rated points aka overperformance capacity by looting enemy player hollow tags or collecting tag chips from USC and map events

The holotaug you bring into the match sets two important values for your run.
A score target and a loss penalty.
The credit value of loot you find counts towards your crew's score excluding certain items
like ammo and consumables.
When your crew reaches this score target, any additional loot does not count unless
you loot enemy holotags that grants you overperformance capacity and allows you to earn
over your initial score targets. Now here's the complete breakdown. Score target equals
a minimum total loot bound your team needs to Xfill to earn rank points. Your score target
is decided by your team's combined holotag value. Starting loadouts don't count towards
your score target. Xfill at your score target to earn RP. Xfill with less than
your score target and your rank has no change. Overperformance capacity. How much
Loot over that score target. You can earn bonus points for this number starts at zero
You can gain overperformance capacity by looting enemy runner holobtags or
Tag chips which drop from high value UESC and in run activities. I

seemingly fighting for 25 minutes strikes.
What this allows is for a lot of third-party,

I would say that if you're looking forward to watching some intense matchups, rank is
gonna bring it for sure.
It's gonna go the apex route people are just gonna sit in buildings to the last Xville.

It seems like you're going to have to do map objectives as well, man.

So you can't just sit on your ass.

You need points or you're just not gonna move up any rank.

that there's some objective play to it.
Now you can also find lootable tax chips during a ranked match
by defeating USC and engaging with map events.
Tax chips count as valuable loot towards your score target
and they also grant over performance capacity.
Tax chips auto sell on Xfill.
Oh, there's a match that size two, four, okay.

Now, this is a lot to take in.
So to summarize, the better you and your team's holotacks, the more ranked points you can
earn from a run.
Higher tier holotacks require you to X-fill with more loot to reap the benefits, and they
bring a higher loss penalty if you die.
But if you only bring in lower tier holotacks, you'll hit your score cap more quickly and
have less potential upside per run.
or in professional terms, you need to risk it for the biscuits.
Yeah, essentially, you can't be ratting out in lower ranks
with lower holotag, with lower holotag value.
If there's no ranked solos, that's super dumb.
Keep in mind guys, Marathon was originally never going
to have a solo queue, which I know, terrible.
But by design, it has always been meant to have teams of three
go up against other teams of three.
Now, again, this is, we'll see if they'll add
Um solo in the future. I have no idea
But it's just like it's the same situation as things like trials, you know what I mean, but he didn't add

You know, you can't go through a trials game by doing one beat once over and over with someone else

But where normal lobbies have kind of ruined us is for like the past, I would say for
like the past couple weeks, you've been able to push into other people's spawns immediately
and really catch them off guard.
A lot of them are just not expecting it.
But think about how ranked it's going to be.
People are going to be operating in the same ways.
People are going to be pushing into your spine as you're pushing into theirs.
And so collisions are going to happen very fast, very, very fast.
And so you're going to just have better teams running up against better teams.
Ranked is just going to come down to streamers versus streamers.
