Here's a game dev question for you, because I'm currently wrestling about with how I want
to do this in Emberville, and I want to know your opinions.
So just like in this game, in Emberville, there is mining.
In the early access, you'll walk up to a node, you'll hit E on it a few times to tap it, tap, tap, tap, tap, and then the node will explode with loot.
We currently have it so you then have to pick up all the loot.
All the loot's on the ground, you can hit E a few times, you can just hold it to suck it all up.
But the thing I keep coming back to is, should we just have it so that loot explodes out in auto-loots?
Because like I'm doing I'm playing this game and I'm it's a little heavy-handed to mine the node and then look for the things that fell and then hold down
E to pick up on each of the things maybe just auto
Maybe yeah, okay. I've seen a lot of people that would prefer that

But one of the things in emberville is that you gain skill
All of the harvesting skills are actual skills. So as you harvest you get a better at it and get bonuses things like that
So one of the things we're going to do

For the first part of the skill of any harvesting thing cutting down trees
Harvesting Clients mining. It's the full minigame, but then as you get better at
the skill, the minigames get simpler and faster, and then by the time you max a
skill, you have the option to just turn off the minigame completely. So the
premise here is it's kind of a have-your-taken-eat-it-two situation
where you get the benefit of having a fun minigame for your harvesting, but
But then after you've done it 50, 100 times, you'll have the option to just farm it and
focus on other things.
So most games just keep the game the whole time.
But I think that that could be a cool little change of it.
