I really like the gunplay in Tarkov though. It felt very satisfying. I don't think I've

prefer PVP though. But it, yeah, I don't know. I kind of wish I got into Tarkov like years

Now, I'm sure a lot of you are wondering about this notorious spot, but for the uninitiated,
players who go down to Ash Lake without the ability to warp out yet have to climb back
out of the Great Hollow on foot, where they're inevitably going to run into this disaster.
Falling from here is guaranteed death, so the sticks are high when players are just
trying to get out of here.
Once you know the solution, it's not bad at all.
Just walking forward while veering to the left seems to get you to safety every
single time.
But this is incredibly unintuitive.
It really feels like you should fall from here, so it's not going to be easy for most
players to figure out.
A lot of people will try doing a running jump or rolling up the branch, and while it
is possible, it's a lot harder than it looks, and a lot more dangerous than the hugging
left method.
When we switch to the collision view, it's easy to see why we get stuck.
There's a really tall, flat ledge here.
There should have been a little hidden ramp here.
Then there wouldn't have been a problem.
This reveals the reason why staircases are always secretly ramps in their low collision,
because having ramps instead of tall-jagged steps is really important for traversability.
As for why walking to the left works, even with the collision displayed, it's not immediately
obvious why it works.
These bits of collision here are ridiculously steep.
You typically slip off the surfaces that are less steep than this, so at first it
doesn't make any sense, but I'm pretty certain the reason we're supported is
probably because of these planes of collision down here.
while they're even steeper, I think the difference is that we're able to stand on top of their edges, essentially,
because you can be supported by paper thin sheets of collision if you can get on top of an edge like this.
The developers would have to otherwise go out of their way to make it slippery on purpose.
