it's counter, like one of the most important stats in Dark Souls 2 is the counter rating
of a weapon which is like how much extra damage it deals when the boss is in a counterable state
and the dark drift only has 30% extra damage with the dark drift whereas with the chaos blade
you actually, chaos blade has the highest counter rating of all the katanas it has 60%

the game checks your internal speed right like how fast you're moving

to check which type of jump to give you

a movement speed that is
affected by your cpu load.
So basically, let's say hypothetically, I don't know the exact values, but let's say
you need to be moving like four units per second to get a strong jump, like a full jump.
But the movement speed value that the game uses can fluctuate below 4.
It may fluctuate from like 3.9 to like 4.1 and when it goes below 4, then you just lose.
