It's kind of just like a wild card slash middle of the road
So I think this will be a pretty fair tournament. This is how it's lined up
There's a seating round starting out called live challenge if you've played Geo guess or you know what live challenges it is
Just you know ten rounds of one map that everyone's playing
So all 32 players 16 teams are gonna be on the same 10 maps same 10 spawns
One minute rounds moving panning and zooming allowed. You have to just figure out where you are you and your teammate place a pin
Whoever's pin is closer is the one that counts. That's how do those works
You're gonna have a some score at the end after you're scored there
You know, there's gonna be teams that did first to last first to 16th
we move on to the group stage and
The groups are as follows group a is first place in live challenge 8th 9th and 16th 2nd 7th 10th
and so on. You can read it right there.
How a group's eating will work is everybody plays each other. It's Round Robin.
It's going to be first to two, best of three.
Now, the way that it's going to work is map one, so game one,
will be a community world, which is usually what is played in most custom games.
It's just kind of like a balanced Geo-Gesser map full of places that are kind of hard to get,
but not, you know, so hard that it's impossible to guess.
Map two is a secret custom map, which I have not yet seen
No one I repeat no one in the tournament has seen this map that is playing
Geo guesser made this map off of suggestions. I had I wanted it to be no move
50% inside 50% outside
random locations anywhere in the world. So if you know GeoGuessr, there's certain
areas on GeoGuessr that you can't GeoGuessr coverage. There's certain areas
in the world that aren't on GeoGuessr. This is a really fucking blurry map. All
the gray countries aren't on GeoGuessr. White blue means some coverage. So most
In community world move it's never these gray countries. It will never be those gray countries
And they're just not in the game in move or in no move. Sorry any
Anywhere literally anywhere you could spawn in a country that you've never seen before
It's literally could be anything you might spawn in a cave
You might spawn in an airport you might spawn outside of a cafe, you know, it's 50 50
You know, and it's like 8,000 maps or whatever they put into the into the into the pool
So if you play a game on the on the secret custom map that Geo made
There's a chance all of your spawns are outside and all of them are inside, you know
But it's just like 4,000 of the maps they put in were inside 4,000 were outside
This one's gonna be literally anyone's game, right?

But then they just get lucky and they fucking KO you in one hit because there's a four X for everybody
That doesn't exist anymore at least in this journey
And if it goes 10 rounds we have max 10 rounds so it doesn't go on forever in a minute max timer
Even if nobody guesses so it's like even more pressure if it goes 10 rounds whoever has more health wins
Then there's tiebreakers blah blah blah after that your win-loss ratio is the seeding
This is like the actual tournament like two hours in we'll be in the actual single elan turn it tournament
First group A fourth and group D second a group B goes against third and group D so on so forth still best of three
This is what's different
It's the reverse. It's the reverse. So it's my secret map first
The community world map second secret map third so in seeding your move knowledge matters more
In the actual tournament play, no move matters more.
So it's a lot more RNG and scarier in single elan.
And still best of three finals is best of five.
So the last, if you're in the finale,
it's best of five, not best of three.
That's the tournament.
These are the prize, this is the prize pool.
Oh, also GeoGuessr is offering to send the winning team
to Berlin for free for the GeoGuessr World Cup.
The first place winners, if they so please,
have a paid for ticket and hotel
to see the GeoGuessr World Cup
and probably make content there as well.

That's how the tournament's gonna work.
The custom map, the secret custom map,
I haven't seen it yet.
I've been told that it's very similar to Geo Detective World,
which is inside and outside,
but a lot more inside maps on the secret map.
It's gonna be scary, you know.
Where we spawn is gonna be very out of the ordinary.
However much you practice for regular Geo Gesser
is not really gonna pan over skill-wise
to the custom secret maps.
We're gonna be spawning in, you know, a hardware store
and you're just gonna have to figure out
where the fuck you are.
You're not going to be able to see outside.
You could be literally anywhere.
You could be in Iceland, Chile, America,
or America meeting the United States.
You could be in Canada.
You could be in fucking Moldova.
You could be in an island in the middle
of the fucking Arctic Sea.
For all anybody knows, you have to figure it out.
When does it start?
Tournament is supposed to start at five,
but the actual first live challenge
is probably to start around 5.20.
There's also a hard cutoff.

Because obviously you could learn tech like ballards
and light poles.
and you can know where the sun's facing to help narrow down
what hemisphere you're in.
But in the no move maps that we're going to be doing,
I haven't seen them yet.
Nobody's seen them yet.
But I do know that they're going
to be a lot more complex and reliant on language
and just overall architecture skills.
And somebody that's seen the world firsthand
is going to be a lot better at that.
So I think out of the teams that are in the tournament,
I'm most worried about Ludwig and Kajorl
and then Alex Boataz and Gorksy.
I think those are going to be the top two teams.
I also do think Jynxie and Oney are probably a top three team.

Because I feel like the secret custom
map is going to be very interesting.
It really depends on where we spawn.
Outside, I think it's similar to the regular strategy
that you would have in community world move.
If you're able to look at the sun
and kind of get a general surroundings of where you are.
But if we're inside in NoMove, you're really
going to be relying on just general knowledge, what
you're looking at language specifically.
But it also can be a little tricky.
I've done some other NoMove maps where
you spawn in a museum that is surrounded
by Chinese architecture.
And it turns out you're in a museum in Maryland
in the United States.
So you could get a trick played on you pretty well.
So I think it'll be interesting.
