I popped it with a needle last night How's everybody doing on this fantastic fucking Sunday everybody chat sorry. I'm late I said I would be live at one live at 130 woke up late had to take a shit did laundry was picking videos And then I was about to go live like 20 minutes ago and then my editor sent me some stuff So I wanted to fucking reply before stream so I didn't reply six hours late, but We're here now chat and it is a fucking react day Okay, we have a lot of videos. We're going to be watching. We're going to be doing a rundown of those videos in a second here for react day today tomorrow, I will be live at around three EST. I'm doing maybe 330. I'm doing a bro v. Bro with Deji tomorrow It's a bit of a Casual bro V bro in the sense that we're doing a bunch of stupid games Me and him have a varying skill set and completely different game styles or game genres So doing a genuine bro V bro, let's hyper competitive doesn't really make sense So we were kind of picking a bunch of meme games. We're doing trackmania goofy gorillas gang B Straftat spy party call duty modern warfare to Roblox spelling bee and Fortnight. Guess who? First is for best of seven Depending on how long that takes maybe we do some other shit tomorrow Tuesday we're doing random games. We're gonna be doing a chill park horror game called volume as well as to it's horror games called the shopping list And I can smell you from here into Roblox horror with steak Wednesday, I'm live at 11 a.m. Or so we're going to be doing reaction like two hours and then I'm gone the first to the fifth October I'm gone for five days. We're back to six doing reacts and games the seventh we start GTA five story mode playing it twice week six hours a day each day that we play it until we beat it October 14th League of Legends tournament 16th charity stream for breast cancer relief fund or not really fun research fund the 23rd I'm doing cloak me pleases Mario Kart tournament What else a bunch of shit needle in a haystack's coming out. We're playing that We're doing a food gauntlet soon More GTA bunch of short horror shit I think I'm gonna be doing a gaming gauntlet challenge teamed with you Sif in late October But that's a while from now, but that's the schedule also music cell update. I stabbed it with a needle last night It shrunk Now every website that I looked into told me not to do that but I Was in a moment of desperation And I really wanted to get rid of it. So I Took a needle and I stabbed That white bit because that's like the thin skin. That's that looked like it was about a pot stabbed it and then I squeezed it and it shrunk probably to one fifth of a size that it was. Now it might refill because my salivary gland might not be fixed. Based on feeling it, I feel like it's refilling. It's noticeably smaller than the other days though and it looks like actual pink I know it's gross it looks pink though it used to be like red if you looked yesterday it was like blood red now kind of what's normal outside of that still the canker sore mouths and shambles and I've been eating a hot spicy shit still and I had two Mandarin today and while I was eating them I was going fuck fuck because it hurt My mouth is a biohazard right now that is true Anyways, anyways, I really hope it goes away because this is like so annoying. I've had it for like a month And it's just gone up and down I I feel like it's I feel like it's refilling. It feels like it's refilling I'm popping it again If it refills, I know I probably have to go to a dentist and they're gonna have to like surgically remove it but If it fucking refills, you're the unhealthiest person ever. I'm not unhealthy. I Can't help the fact that I have a fucking mucousel. I ate too many lollipops It hurt my salivary gland and now I have a mucousel. I'm dead ass. That's how I got it I'm not fucking around. I yeah, I understand a lot of the stories. I tell seem like so stupid. They're not true Yeah, no, that's like dead ass. What happened. I was eating too many lollipops because I would suck on them and Then I guess like my salivary gland got injured It's not herpes, bro cold sores and herpes are on the outside of your mouth and you don't know Do you know what herpes? Let me show you what herpes looks like Let me show you what herpes looks like for the people that for the people that are saying I have fucking herpes Okay, why don't we what do we show that so this is what herpes looks like? That's herpes That's I don't have herpes I have a new so-so on the inside of my mouth not herpes on the outside of my mouth Also, Newsflash, a lot of people don't tell you this, your parents won't tell you this. You can get in, you can inherit them kind of from your parents or if you drink things from other people. It's like one in three people have herpes simplex, being totally dead ass, one in three of you. There's 11,000 people in stream, 3,000 of you have herpes and you don't know it. Maybe you do know it, but it's not like herpes, genital herpes is different from oral herpes. But you brought one in three people here have herpes. And you could say, oh, no, I don't, right? But there is a one in three chance that you probably get. 3,000 is too high. OK, maybe not 3,000. Maybe 2,000 people here have herpes. And you go, oh, I have a cold sore. That's herpes. It's herpes. And it's nothing to be ashamed of, man. If you got it, it's only contagious when you have the cold sore or some shit like that, pretty sure. You know? Don't drink out of other people's straws. That's how you get it. Why are we talking about this? Because every time I show my muse to sell, my chat says I have herpes, but I don't. I have a canker sore, which is on the inside of my mouth. And I have a muse cell, which is on the inside of my mouth. It kind of looks like a pimple, though, doesn't it? It's not, trust me. Literally took a needle. I have this board that marks, I don't own like medical needles or safety pins. Who the fuck owns that? So I have this board that I have pins for that I mark where I've been in the world. And I just took one off the wall, watched it, and then went, stabbed it, watched my mouth with salt water. Chachi PT, you know, LAI, I had to ask Chachi. I was asking Google, I was reading articles And then I was like, oh, I asked you, Chachi PT. Chachi PT said, you're at a serious risk of infection. And I went, oh, that's not good. But, you know, what am I gonna do? It was so, it bothered me so much. I literally, I was talking to my mom about it. It felt like I had packed dip for three weeks. Like I would sit on stream like this. because it was a fat ass like it was literally like a marble just in my mouth at all times and it still is but it's not as big if it swells up again I'm popping it again It didn't even hurt it was so the skin was so thin that I went like this and It went all the way through like I barely even pushed Does it look like it's refilling just go to the dentist no Does it look like it's refilling how do you know what if it's just swollen right now Dude the liquid that came out of it It was like this fit, you know thick water it was like thick water it was like saliva, but like really thick Like the thickest saliva. It wasn't like a pimple. It wasn't white like that It was like thick saliva because that's what it is that's stuck under there and then it was like a mucus II like yellow and I would just squeeze it and it would just go and it would like pass out. Dude, I'm eating. Yeah, and I've eaten with this thing in my mouth for a month now so you can get over it. Biggie, thank you for the three. Love what you do, man. Thank you. Chicken and OB for the sub. Angela and Juan for the sub. JoJo, thank you for the three. How do you deal with preacher slash people that talk about God? and one of the sub-jojo thing of the three. How do you deal with preacher slash people that talk about God? I always get approached by them. Do I just tell them I'm not interested or just hear them out? It happens a lot. I don't know why. What do you mean? Like you're just having like preachers come up to you on the street all the time? I mean, you just tell them you're not interested, yeah. I mean, if I have the time, I'll have a conversation. But like, that's if I'm interested to hear what they have to say. If like, I'm on the side of the road And, you know, like a Jehovah's Witness comes up to me and they're like, can I talk to you about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? I'm gonna go, I'm okay. And then I'll just walk away. And they're respectful, you know? I think that's the thing is like, they're never gonna be offended that you don't wanna talk about it. Like if they are, they're a pretty bad preacher. Most preachers are pretty like, hey, if you wanna talk about it, we can talk about it. And it's kind of just like an offer. And then if you're like, no, I'm good. They're like, oh, okay, have a nice day. Like it's usually not that bad. P-NOT thinking of the 10 gifted. Thank goodness I'm thinking of the 10 gifted. 10 gifted, sorry. Broad Dylan, Aubrey, and Crazy for the Sub. Alex, Kate, Rain, Anonymous, and in Maw thinking of the 3. I'm out of it I'm getting a front party afterwards got high with my friends. Oh God, Bernadette for the sub one a blonde for the three Always being himself same with the man I'm often a G for the sub Tommy enchanting with the three ramp the three don't end that's right now chat Would you rather get all rid of all six seven spammers or play something else chatters play something else? Noobly and now be love this up She and Alex think of the five gifts harassing hide for the sub newbie bar bank mr. Crater Bellach, Aubrey thinking of the tier two, Mr. Creep thinking of the three, God for the tier two, Knight and Reign for the sub, Dylan and Alex for the five, Gifted's away for the tier two. Genuinely, like, I've probably, out of the last 10 Marvel films slash shows combined, I've probably seen maybe one of them. Peanut, Think of the Sub, but Maya, Think of the Tier 3, Peanut for the 10 Gifted Dime, H for the Sub, Draper and Kupo, Think of the Sub, Sweet and Taper for the Sub. You know, I'd rather get rid of, also don't send bits right now, chat, I'm not reading them. What was I going to say? I would rather get rid of the Switch games chatters or play something else. Six, seven chatters are brain rot, but they're not insufferable. The people that come into any Twitch streamers chat and complain for somebody to switch things is a self-absorbed loser that only thinks that streamers tailor to them and them specifically. They're the worst category of Twitch chatter outside of people that just spam slurs. So they're the worst people to deal with. I would rather my chat spam 6-7 than have just a chat full of people complaining the entire time, because those people suck. Cube, Gibby, Goad and Gman for the sub. Anyways, that's the schedule chat we were saying earlier. Actually my schedule, you know the stream schedule Here are the videos for the day Starting out with a Jack Gordon video another flat earth dead not flat earth Dave But I took a flat earth or do an acid rocket launch He actually invited me to go to this rocket launch with him I believe or it was some sort of convention. So W. Jack Gordon for that, but I couldn't make it I feel like I had a sponsor that day or something that day that I had to do or maybe I was out of town I don't really know Hilariously bad insider trading attempts what happened to box tops the best scrabble players a genuine genius and I tried China's most painful massage Xiao Ma what an ender here we go first video of the day love Jack Gordon I took a flat earther to a NASA rocket launch Disclaimer everything the flat earth or says in this video is 100% wrong This flatter is about to see a rocket launch to space for the first time and is react It's just a really big green screen. It's just a really big green screen. Shin was not. I wish I had that level of like, pure deniability for anything that I believed. Like anything that proved what I thought was wrong, I just go, no that's like AI generated. No that's like, that's fake. No that's fake. What I was expecting. Dinosaur bones are most likely dragons and giants. They're just telling us they're dinosaur bones. He has no idea how important this launch is. Like, no, like, you're larping, bro. You're larping. You're not. Like, you don't believe that. Like, you don't believe that. Like, I can't sit here and actually think that somebody goes, yeah, no, dinosaur bones, they're actually just dragons and giants, and they're just miscategorizing them. Why are they able to fucking put them together to make a complete skeletal system. If it's fucking giants and dragon bones. As there is a very big launch coming up, the Roman space telescope, this is gonna be a very big deal. Because he doesn't even think it's real. They're just launching it out into the ocean into the Bermuda Triangle. I don't believe in outer space. So today, I'm going to do everything I can to try and convince them. So he's saying that they're doing, Has it SpaceX? Like, what about satellites? Like, what about satellites? Like, he's saying outer space, so does he still believe that like satellites exist and they like orbit Earth? Because like, you could see SpaceX satellites in the sky. Right? I was gonna say, if all of these are fake and you don't believe in like any sort of space-based launch, then like SpaceX launches in 2026. Like how many launches do they do a year? I feel like they're doing like so many. Let's do 2025, how many? How many SpaceX launches were there? 170 in 2025. So they're all fake or it's just they're not going past the firmament. They're not going past the thick bubble atmosphere that disintegrates everything when it escapes. It's legit. So what are you expecting to see? And is there anything that you would see? And then also they don't believe in gravity, right? Or like gravitational pull. So then do they think that the satellites are just like floating? If they believe in satellites, which I feel like you have to if you have a phone. If you have any technology that has internet access, You have to have some level of, you know, belief in, you know, like inner, in not inner space travel, but like satellites. What are you think, how are they staying up there? They don't believe in them, they have to. Like you can't, did not, like there's a, I, I, you could say the earth is flat and you live your life normally, right? But you can't go, satellites aren't real. Right now that would make you be like, whoa, I don't think so because, you know, I've grown up here and watching the rocket launches from the Orlando area. It's always bro. He grew up in Florida. Typically the same thing. Yeah. And you know, from our viewpoint, we don't really get to see what it does, where it goes sort of unknown and unprovable. So I set up the camera to get the best shot. Dude, it's going up. Like, does he think that once it's high enough that it escapes like the naked eye that it just hits a hard fucking 90 degree right turn into the fucking ocean and like no one sees it. Possible of what we'd see before I knew it. Is that really going up into space? Looks like it's going back down to the water way out into the jet. Ah, ban that shatter. Justin immediately wasn't buying it. Almost looks like- Any mods? All right, we're going sub only mode. It's skipping almost like they're trying to break. Becca, I really appreciate your enthusiasm. I need you to know though, you saying I'm here whenever there's not a mod that bans someone is not going to increase the odds that you become a mod. Through the firmament is what people theorize have you ever seen the experiments Jack? Oh my god, he's saying the firmament hold the fuck up lock in down to the water way out into the distance I need to hear him say this shit. It's Justin immediately wasn't buying it Almost looks like it's skipping almost like they're trying to break through the firmament is what people theorize Have you ever seen the experiments Jack with the um The sound inside the dome it sounds exactly like like sonic booms and like thunder Which meant I had one goal for the day convinced him that that rocket launch was brief and I was going to go to every length to make that happen because I got Justin exclusive access to the Kennedy Space Center and he's going to see the sites from my videos in real life starting by showing him the rockets that NASA has launched before. It also amazes me the size and weight of these things yeah and to to be able to to get to the speeds that they claim they're getting. because it's fucking 90% full of rocket fuel! That's why when disasters happen they explode! Because 80% of the fucking rocket in that whole- They're in this little pocket at the top. That whole fucking cylinder is full of fucking rocket fuel. And they're launching that shit with like imagine imagine filling your car imagine filling like your Kia with premium gas times 12 like that's the shit they're using until right but I'm nervous today because Justin has a bit of a history good afternoon commissioners today I'd like to bring to your attention a potential fraud on an enormous scale happening in your county there's now clear evidence of NASA using numerous methods to grossly mislead the public use of wires harnesses green screens and virtual reality. Wow this is the biggest corn ball thing I think I could see. You're going to a fucking county meeting to tell the the seven fucking people that are at that table that have no power in you know any serious matter that the earth is flat. Like they're gonna fucking do something about it. I've been detected to achieve the appearance of a weightless environment. And I'm really hoping these NASA employees don't notice. Wow and it's crazy that you could just go to those meetings and say anything and they have to listen to you. Isn't that wild? Like I know they do a lot of impractical jokers meetings and shit there because it's like a public forum or whatever it's called and it's like they have to give you your time. I love that that exists. I love that that exists. I really I think if I have nothing to do and I live to the age of like 70 I think when I'm in my 60s I'm just gonna go to these meetings and be like there's too many fucking beavers, There's too many fucking beavers around here. We gotta do something about them. I've made, and I have like a chart that I've made and like a PowerPoint slide that I bring up and like we have these traps though. We gotta fucking, we gotta round them up. And then we're just gonna have all of them there. It's like, don't kill them. You know, they're useful for something. So I have kind of like a, like a bigger hamster wheel for them and it could like power the city. And tell me, remind me so what's really happening here with this rocket? What do you mean? Like what, like when they launch this, give me the, give me the, your best gas, like the five minutes afterwards, what's happening. We can't see where the rocket really goes. But my best guess is that they are, Yes, you can. Oh my God. How did they, did they live stream the one? Did they live stream Artemis? Like from launch, from the ground until you literally couldn't see it anymore with like a fucking $40,000 camera. And then they just cut to the actual spaceship going into space. I think he would say that cut is fake. Once it cuts to the video of the spaceship, that's like prerecorded AI, like CGI filmed shit. Taking it to some sort of unknown location, or they're just launching it out into the ocean into the Bermuda Triangle. Either way, that launch livestream is not real. Let's keep walking around a little bit. Missile, what do you think about missiles? Like a missile, they would say it goes into space for a little bit. For what's its purpose though? To land back on Earth. We're just gonna fly around and look around. I mean, I don't see why. No, it makes it sort of to fucking travel further because you have less air resistance, right? Is that why ballistic missiles go that fucking high up and then they're also harder to detect? Why do ballistic missiles go into space? They travel like fired bullets or throw them like a rock, unpowered, arc and reaching high altitudes allowing them to cross ocean's efficiency with no air resistance. Why that couldn't happen? How high do you think the firmament is? Well the theory is that it's around 70-ish miles. So for some reason the whole rocket thing didn't really get... like where did they get that where did they get that number like that's what I want to know because like science they're doing research and they're testing things to prove like where the atmosphere ends and you know all of that but like what what flat earth are said well the theory is it's about 70 miles like where are they coming up with 70 miles like they had like a weather balloon and they like released it into the into the fucking air. Isn't space actually far closer than 70 miles? How high up is space? Isn't it like a couple 50 miles? So it's less. Space begins at an altitude of 62 miles or 50 miles, depending on the standard used. Convince them. They may actually have that sort of like a Flat Earth map. I feel like over here, if I remember right. Yeah, it's still there. They just need to paint the edge here white for Antarctica. Yeah. So let's talk about that. Ice wall. Let's over there. And what job, whenever I see Jack or any other YouTuber interview a Flat Earther, their job is always being a Flat Earther and podcasting, which makes me fully believe that it's a LARP. And yeah, Flat Earth Dave got rich doing like fucking real estate or something prior, but I'm like, what is your day to day? You know, I think there's people in the world that believe the earth is flat and like work a regular job, but they're not hardcore fans, you know? They're flat earthers, but they're casuals, you know? They're LARPers, they're LARPing flatter, right? You know, they go, oh yeah, the earth is flat, firm and at- but they're not a die-hard flat earther. Like this guy's a die-hard flat earther. What is his day-to-day job? Like, I wouldn't be able to live a regular life if I genuinely believed that everything, 99% of the world thought was a lie. And I'm not saying I'm like a religious sense or a faith-based sense, because that's just like a greed or disagree. We both have our own faith-based opinions. I'm saying like, we factually disagree on something that concretely changes how we view our universe. Nobody knows, and if you go out there, you are stopped by military. So I decided to move on to showing him. Or like, I'm sorry, bro. Not believing in evolution. In any way, grinds my gears. Grinds my gears. Like, to sit there and say that like fossils are fake, the ancestry line of like, you know, Ape ancestors and our ancestors to Australopithecus and Homo habilis and like all these other versions of humans that led to us Like it's just like where are you coming? Like how do you not? Believe that like how do you like you're sitting like where did this shit come from like is it a plant by the government by like a Demon like what's happening? That's making this shit not real Why do we have tail bones? Why do we have things like why do we have like shit that we don't need anymore that we used to have? Why do we look and act in our very related to other insects? Like it just doesn't make sense to like fully disagree with that. We got appendix tonsils. I mean that's like a variety. Those are like smaller scale things though. Ace shuttle, which is built to orbit the earth. Like, even non-humans especially, like, you could just see that shit. I decided to move on to showing him NASA's space shuttle, which is built to orbit the Earth, something that isn't possible on a flat Earth, so he'll inspect it in real life. I got nothing against any of these people, man. It's like, all the people that work for NASA, I think 99% of them are well-meaning smart people. You know, I wouldn't want to be lied to. It's not as harmless as Santa Claus. Unless they're not lying, because I don't really think they are lying. Sure. It's not as harmless as Santa Claus. I would think that if the Earth is flat, that is a larger lie than telling your kids Santa Claus is real. So by the end of this video, he might just start to cave in a little bit. Yeah, no, so most of that's true. If they don't recognize him from his viral videos first. Is there any more pilots up here? Is it just you? It's me. Just you. I got a quick question for you. Do you all have to adjust for any curvature of the earth while you're up there? I think the, um, international space station. I say this every time you talk about flat earth, you want to prove that the earth is round, go ask a fucking long range military sniper, go ask a long range military sniper, Hey man, do you have to like calculate for the curvature of the earth when you shoot shit? And if they go, yeah, then you go, okay, the earth is fucking round. I think the unless you're sitting here and saying it's a dome right sometimes sometimes they won't say it's flat sometimes we'll go it's like a frisbee it's kind of like a frisbee oh why I feel like why we why in my you know now we're okay so we're coming to like like a middle ground agreement here where it's like okay it's not flat but it's not around it's like maybe maybe like a or like a hill kind of like a like imagine like a nipple that's like earth International space station the intro to donut. Oh that'd be even more of a mind fuck. What's in the middle your shots? Nothing are filmed in a studio. Yeah on earth and the exterior spacewalks are filmed in an underwater pool. I had a guy Shout to me one time that said he was at a NASA facility and he was basically called in to make this wall look like like as dark and black as it possibly could with this. Bro, I could watch like flatter of Kinseview series actually all day, every day. Special coding. He couldn't figure out what the purpose was and later on, he kind of put it together and they wanted it to look like that. So it looked like space. So that when they would edit everything, there would be absolutely no reflections or distortions or anything to give away that it was not filmed in space. It's on the launch of rockets and land like a airplane. It's going to be the use of the change of the rocket. It's not a rocket, it's a shuttle. You could totally contract all those people to design a really cool shuttle that lands back home. Again, none of us can verify where it's actually going. So I'm in a very large condition. I'm in a very large condition. So he's saying in that instance where they had the space shuttle and it worked, that it launched, went somewhere else, and then like they relaunched it again so it would come back and land again, to like broaden the illusion. I think it always boils down to like why, right? Why do you think that? And that's usually where the secondary theory comes into play of the ice wall, right? the great ice wall because it's like, there's no reason to lie about this unless there's something to hide in court or in accordance to saying the earth is round. And it's like, okay, the ice wall because if you say the earth is round, people go Antarctica is just the, like, you know, Antarctica is the bottom, then you have the North Pole, whatever, there's nothing beyond that. Whereas like, oh, in a flat earth theory, there might be shit past that. I thought of something else that would do it for me, not not not prove that the Earth is a globe but something that would really help dispel this rocket stuff, show us a unedited video from start to finish, wherever finish would be, like as far as you can show us without it cutting. By the end of this video, he's good. He's saying he doesn't want, when he sees a camera angle cut or a position change, that's where the real footage ends and the fake footage begins. Like he wants a unstopped, I'm pretty, yeah, I still don't think you would believe that. Like if they had a launch with a live stream of like the rocket pointing down at Earth And it continuously, without pause, without lag, just showed it all go all the way to space, he would still go, this is fake. Let's see one of those. But first, I wanna see his reaction to the space. Like, bro, there's TikTokers that do, I'm not trying to get into his mindset here. But like the response would be, well, there's TikTokers that could do unedited loops that look like they're just constantly moving in one direction. It's like, what's to say that they just randomly spliced the footage in it moment and it's like just such a clean cut that you're just unable to see shuttle in real life so let's take a look at this the space shuttle and let me see the real thing this isn't a real thing as far as they're claiming right right far as we know what do you think of this where do you think this is gone you know has it been to space I think it goes on our on a high altitude plane right I think it goes on a really cool flight and then it lands when it's But what if it's gone for like a long time? Like the Artemis rocket, you could watch them re-enter into Earth's atmosphere and fucking crash into the water. Like where are they going? You'd think they're in like space? Or not space. You think they're just like kind of like flying around Earth endlessly for like how long were they going? like how long were they gone? Wasn't it like two weeks or some shit? Out of there, do you think they think they're going to space? No, I think if the people weren't in it, they were really They just flew in the sky for a week. Or maybe he's thinking that they took off, landed in the water, did a secret launch somewhere else and then cut to them like crashing back down. That takes, that seems harder to do. You know, unfortunately, you know, they are, it's really landing, it's really taking off, It's really breaking the sound barrier, but I just don't think it's going to space. Why not? Well, because of everything I've been shown by NASA to show that they've been faking other things. And OK, all right. So NASA fails. So what? Tell me that. Bubbles in space. Rats in space. Bees in space. So let's see bubbles, right? Who's to say those aren't little dust particles? Flakes of paint. They could be. It could be. It's possible, but they move like a bubble And you know when I ask an astronaut they don't move like a bubble wood in water, bro What about the bubbles and he starts getting all fidgety and like telling me a sweat Well, I think they're also kind of scared of you if I'm being honest, I think if you're showing up to a nest Not because you're right. I think if I'm a NASA employee and I'm doing like a talking thing and you kind of go up and you go, did you ever think they'd fucking pull the curtain right under your fucking feet about this whole thing? This shit's fake. And what do you have to fucking say about it? And you're just like, why'd I staring at this woman? I feel like you're insane. Like you're insane. At Earth, there was a time where I'm not saying you're one of those, but some people are. So this never flew to space. my opinion. What is space? That's allegedly where I guess the pressurized system and the non-pressurized system sort of meet, which is also a big hang-up for flat earth is like why do we have a vacuum next to a non-vacuum without them merging with each other? You know if I take the tire away from, if I take the tire off the air inside the tire merges with the air outside well apparently space doesn't just merge. I think if you take the idea that everything is different at a hyper-different scale and you just take that idea and explain it a lot, right? Water needs to find its level. Well, the level... Flat Earthers like to claim that oceans prove it's flat because water shouldn't bend around the sea. Well, on Earth, it's going back to Earth, getting closer to the... Well, because they don't believe in gravity. And that's the other thing, is it's just like being a flat Earther, you have to... You have to believe in nine other conspiracy theories. You don't believe in gravity. You believe the moon lightnings fake You believe the ice walls real you believe the firm immense real ground of earth so on earth the level is just they don't believe in gravity They can't They can't it's not like they think if you if you're flat earth or and you believe in gravity. Those are two contradicting Things right okay. What about oh my go? Why don't the vacuum and then come together? Well, because it's not like you have a little tire on your car that you popped. It's such a ginormous scale that it's a completely different thing. It's a very controversial topic and I think that goes to like the level of indoctrination that we are. Oh my God. And then it's just like the smart terminology that we're trying to use. That's a very interesting topic. It's like the level of the indoctrination that we've been employed against all of us. I mean really the dichotomy of it all. It actually boils down to a multitude of things. Some facets in some certain ways. It's like just say like stop trying to just fucking respond it's like I the biggest thing get on a plane from Get on a plane going from like New York or LA to like Japan or somewhere where instead of going straight one way they like wrap around the earth like look at flight patterns And then you're like sitting there and you're going oh well They could fake the flight pattern put an air tag in your fucking bag and track it and see where it's going See where it's going and you'll see that it goes around the earth the way that they say it would Hit with as a child, you know We're showing so many globes in our school classrooms, but apples in on the bed apples in on that's the thing That's the thing guys. Apple's in on it. Every multi-trillion billion dollar company is in on it. The government has paid these people, the government has paid these people to employ some sort of AI learning that when you're tracking your air tag, it's going to convince you that it's flying around the earth. When in reality it's flat. When in reality it's flat. That's what's happening. That it's like what? It's like me trying to argue through the water's wet. You're gonna be like, dude, what are you crazy? We all know that water's wet, right? I mean, I agree with that but how people feel about the globe so it's a very tough one Especially people that come here these people have got their heels dug in and I appreciate you not like bro I don't have my heels dug in it's like every of why would every other fucking planet moon and large object because they Don't say that everything's flat Flat earthers don't say that like everything's flat They say that Earth is flat. Why would Earth be flat and everything else be fucking round? It doesn't make any sense. Like trying to convince everybody here, you know what I mean? The door opens, I'm happy to talk to people, but like, most people don't want to talk about that, especially if they're- It's like a level of insanity of not recognizing- zero pattern recognition. From big NASA fans, you know? So clearly seeing the space shuttle did nothing for him. What about stepping away from NASA to look at SpaceX? SpaceX. We got tons of SpaceX rockets. We got some really cool stuff up there. Elon Musk, what do you think? Does he know the Earth's flat? I think he would probably have to know because he's too involved. You've heard his famous quote, you know, we know it's real because it looks so fake. Wait, what? Yeah, he said that one time when his car launched to space, the Tesla Roadster, and I'm like, that's a strange statement to make. Sure. Jared's suit as we know or made Oh Elon Musk says strange shit all the time. Oh, well, that's what we're saying Yeah, that's how you don't know the chair Now they had it was the first ever SpaceX astronaut I didn't know head of NASA first SpaceX astronaut first private civilian to do a spacewalk as well So he's been to space twice first person to spacewalk. I believe he's wearing this suit when he did the spacewalk Wait, so Jared has actually been to space twice Why would you not know that? I, like, I didn't know that, but I'm not somebody that's like hyper-involved in NASA. Like, if I thought the Earth was flat, stop saying he's all ears. We're not doing this shit again. We're not doing this shit again. That's interesting. He orbited the Earth many times, and then he went for a spacewalk. So I didn't know that about Jerry. First civilian to do a spacewalk ever. Changes my mind a little bit about him. I was giving him a little more benefit of the doubt. Like, he was just putting that position and believes what he's saying, but... No, no, he wore this bad boy to space right here. Okay. Interesting. Poor Jared. There he is. What do you think? Hey man, Jared's probably a great guy. I'd love to have a beer with him, but I don't think he's telling the truth. So let me ask you a couple of ridiculous questions then, because if you think Jared's in on it, but Trump's not, that's kind of interesting. Now you think like, okay, we're looking. But like, you would have to rework, like how do they explain, if you don't believe in gravity And you just think like water finds its level. What's like 9.8 meters? What is it 9.8 meters squared? Meters per second squared? Like what does that number mean? Like what does gravitational pull mean? Why is there a value there? Like why is that, what would they say? So like, oh, that's just the rate at which things fall. For no reason, kind of how they're like, oh, the firmament's like 70 miles up. It's just kind of like a ballpark guess about everything. It's like, no, there's no, it's not because like, oh, that's the gravitational pool that like the earth has on objects around it. It's like, oh, that's just like the rate at which things fall. Just because. That's like, it was just put that way. Jared and Trump and like we think Trump's the guy in charge of Jared saying in the back of the client I know the earth's flat. So how about like dude perfect they went to space They're like a YouTube channel like me like they're just like oh, well, they're lizard shills. They're lizard people. Um, I Mean clearly clearly, you know, you're you're getting dude perfect You're getting you're getting twins to do this. So obviously there's some sort of CGI involved with having one all the way up at all the way up in space like normal people. I've like been at their headquarters before. They're like normal dudes. You think Coby Cotton from Dude Perfect was lying to the rest of the Dude Perfect squad? Or do you think they all know the Earth's flat? Like what happened there? If you're saying that these guys are genuine and I think it's very plausible that they are, I think they're probably just dealing with confirmation bias. Like for instance, I have a lot of people tell me that they saw the curve from an airplane. But every time you get back in an airplane and you really look, there's no curve. That's impossible. There is no curve from an airplane. Yeah, but I have people like will die on that hill, but because they think they saw and I did too I remember when I found flat earth. I said this is ridiculous I've seen the curve from an airplane right but then I went blue and I was like Oh, actually, you know we can't really tell he most likely went on a flight similar to what you went on where they take You on a very high altitude ride do a parabolic maneuver give you some weightlessness. You claim you went to space That's it. So you think out the window won't he's looking at TV's or Out the window he can see the earth, but there's no curve You saw the curve. Yeah, he likes the space. He's either lying or he's wrong. Well, the SpaceX exhibit was a flop for Justin. That didn't work. Luckily, I had one more trick up. Wow. These are like the best people to have on your side in like a fucking jury. Like, oh my god. Like, this is like, you're the OJ Simpson trial. This is who you are in the fucking stands. This is like the people that you need. Yeah, yeah, somebody get this guy in position in the government. Somebody get this guy, somebody put this guy at the head of the state in Congress, you know? Somebody make him a senator. That'll be a fucking, that'll do well. My sleeve taking him to the actual large house. It's like I'm getting on a cruise ship. Yep, take your family photo. You literally see- Can I actually say this is gonna sound really stupid I Even though he's a flatter if they're they're still like a 50-50 shot He would be like a better congressman than like half the people in the United States government right now Because he's not swayed by bias or he's not it's not that he's not he's swayed by bias He's not swayed by like money like this guy just believes what he thinks He's not gonna get like paid out by like a shill corporation to like vote the way that they want them to Like this guy's too deep rooted in his beliefs that like some things he would actually be like Well, that doesn't really make any sense Because it has nothing to do with flat earth anything yet today that you've been like really stunned by you know no I haven't yeah, no like I said it feels like one of those I went here when I was a kid I don't remember what yeah how old I was but I remember I went to this and like saw the the fucking Rockin theme parks for adults Right, but with some cool science stuff here and there, but I paid a lot of money for this extra tour So I hope this great. Hopefully this will maybe this tour is what will convince me. All right. We'll see we'll see We're going to the moon needs to put the word back going back Next level then he starts cracking jokes Then he starts cracking jokes when your tour guide when your tour guide starts making really shitty jokes for like the fucking Gen X audience Sitting there. Oh my god As you can see we're passing an elephant on this nature tour. Oh, sorry. I thought that was my wife Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha. Just kidding, just kidding. She divorced me a long time ago. What's known as the gantry is an observation deck that was built. I think it launched from like right there. Here is the launch pad. It launched from this morning, when you look at him to it's when we come to the right, which is going to be launching a starship, this tower is 405 feet tall. I would want to ask these type of guys like how does thrust work in a vacuum usually people giving space tours are just I mean If you're letting go of weight if you are pushing weight away, then you will be pushed forward But you've got to have like something to push off of to have that reaction you shot a gun in space Would you feel the recoil? I don't think we know it's because we've never been able to do these experiments And like you're saying you need something to push off of It every action has an equal and opposite reaction If you're in space and you fire a gun, you're gonna go the opposite direction. What are we fucking talking about? What is he saying? Oh, you need to push off of something to go anywhere? You know, that's what rockets are. Every single rocket is that experiment. If you believe that the rocket goes into space. Okay, but you can't say we've never done those experiments. NASA took us to see the biggest rocket they've ever built. The one that launched all of the Apollo missions. That looks like a piece of... One small step for man. one giant line from mankind. And then to the building where they assembled the rockets. We're gonna stop right for the vehicle assembly building. That's the tallest single story building in the world. That's what I've heard. That's real. It's real. You know, nonetheless, it's like regardless of it's fake or not or globe around, like, it's still kind of cool to see all this stuff. They're really building rockets. There's really smart people working on things. Dude, do you think there's anything that could possibly change your- But for what? Like we're spending billions of dollars to hide that the earth, it just doesn't make sense, bro. I think it's too much of this guy's personality at this point. If he got close to conceding, it would be like giving up on a huge part of his personality. I mean, I think that's the thing with a lot of people's core belief values, right? In any sense, not even just the flat earth, Like there are people that build their lives off of a specific belief or mindset and if anything cracks that it cracks them and so they'll always, they'll always believe it. Like they'll because they have to if they don't, they'll, they'll not philosopher by the way. I'm not even saying philosophy. I'm not saying religion. I'm saying like what your core values are if anything challenges that and you've spent 30 years of your life believing something like it's the earth being flat, right? Then once they change that, it fucks you up. Your mind at this point, not at the can. It could even be like, not even, I'm not saying, yeah, you could say it with some people in the religious values, if there are things that breed doubt, but they just disagree with that doubt, because if they don't believe in their faith based belief, then they'll be, you know, crumbled. I'm more so saying like flat earthers or people that are like obscenely, homophobic or racist and believe that the world functions on a specific set of rules or values that they haven't grained in their mind that if proven wrong, fucks up their entire personality. Be space centered. I would need to go to space and see the curvature, a lake or the ocean, you know, having that physical drop of eight inches per mile squared. Which is why I'm confident my next attempt at this, like Santa Claus, not really, bro. Most people you find find out Santa Claus isn't real, you're over it in like two days. It'll work. For Miles Square. Which is why I'm confident my next attempt at this will work. Because in just a few days I'm sending a balloon up to space with a flat earthers camera on it. No fisheye lens. And we're going to see the curvature once and for all. Wow. I want to know what the fuck he's going to say. That's such a good idea, Jack. Give him the camera. him set up the fucking balloon pay for it all and be like all right now we're gonna send this shit in his face he's gonna go oh write it up write about oh see how it popped that's what he's gonna say I already know what he's gonna say the balloon's gonna pop and he's gonna go uh hit the firmament oh well that's just the fisheye lens that's why it looks round Oh Shit it hit the firmament right that's what it's gonna be and then it pops He doesn't believe in dinosaurs believes in dragons and giants yep, yep This flat earth or just prove space is real because there's space for a spring should be I thought five others We're believing it to get a free flight now. I think water is believing it to be in a NASA mission You can't fix stupid. Oh my god Such a huge ego to all the buildings rockets exhibition thousands people rocket launchers all this is made to try to fool him As an Asian kid I was some brain cells here. It's a cut and dry case of securities fraud more commonly known as insider trading What is insider trading knowing? what's going to happen before it happens or not not knowing what's gonna I mean yeah usually it's knowing what's gonna happen before it happens but having knowledge that the broad public does not that gives you an edge in investment purposes most government workers are accused of insider trading Nancy Pelosi is not been, you know, convicted or, you know, charged with insider trading. But the common theory is that people that are higher up in the government, when you look at their stock portfolios, they are the best investors you've ever seen in your entire life. They never fail. They know what's going to happen before it happens. And you know, there's a level of like how sketchy you could be This is obvious like sometimes when they'll put in $500,000 to a stock the day before something gets released or pull it Before something happens or they bet on puts like that shit gets caught pretty quickly But there's other ways that people may be doing insider trading. That's not as accusable But I don't know I think I've always had to take and I know this would never really happen But I think if you are in a position in the government that gives you valuable information that could offset The balance between your knowledge and an everyday man or woman's knowledge in the stock market You should not be able to invest. I Think that should go that should be a part of the game and and the people that complain about that It's like my response is so you don't actually care about politics. You don't actually care about about what's happening with the country or anything, because you're due, why do you care so much about personal financial gain in correspondence with your governmental position? Like if you actually cared about fixing the United States or any country for that matter, because the United States isn't the only country where this fucking happens, why would you not just want to do it for the sake of fixing a nation or how you spew, right? We'll get up on their podium and go I care about this. I'll donate my salary back to the fuck every oh my god Anytime somebody does that I'll donate my salary back to the United States awesome He's still made nine billion dollars in the last fucking three months off of the shit you've done Being in the government right like what the fuck? Oh, I'll do this. I don't care about them But I don't need the money. I don't want cable then don't invest in the stock market It's all money oriented and it's not even a side-based thing both parties fucking do it And honestly, I don't want to sit here and say oh, I feel bad for them because I don't feel bad for them but it's like I Kind of get it That that's why I think you shouldn't be a light that's why you need to have this as a law Right because if I'm in the government if I'm in the government and I know That Nvidia's gonna fucking pop off more than ever before or say I know that in video We're gonna put a restriction on GPUs, and it's gonna tank that fucking stock 30% I'm betting against that shit You're telling me you're telling me you're in the government and you know Something's gonna happen that you can make eight million dollars on and you're not gonna do it You're not going to try and tell someone to tell someone to do it on your behalf that ends up going back to you It's like you need something in place because the average human is going to cheat Because it's like why would you not use that info like you're telling me I have I'm I'm a senator and I'm in a meeting That's a private about something. That's going to affect the economy and I have my own stocks Invested that I know are gonna tank 20% and I'm not gonna pull them out I'm gonna go. Oh tough shit, man Tough shit brother really. Oh, sorry. That's insider trading if I pull it out. No, like I get you should it You shouldn't be able to do it But you have to have a rule in place because anyone's gonna go oh shit. I need to fucking take my money out. Oh Shit, I need to fucking invest into this. This is gonna make me so much money. Why wouldn't I do it, right? Congressman Collins cheated our markets and then they get around it now and you see him do it on poly market you see him do it on Cal she you see him do it on how many fucking warheads are gonna strike you're on in the next three days somebody gets it right on the dot 83 and they put 40 grand on it why do you know that right that's an example that's not exactly what happened but There's like people that are making bets that are like insane, like 85% success rate on like long shot war bets. Insider trading was like, you're in the government. Counting cards in Vegas, a total of more than 32. It's not like counting cards in Vegas. It's worse than counting cards in Vegas. Counting cards in Vegas is just like studying the stock market in real life, right? And getting good at like day trading. Insider trading is more like, I mean, yeah, it is like insider trading and knowing what's going to happen next. But it's more like having x-ray goggles. Because counting cards is just giving you an edge on predictability. But insider trading is like wearing actual x-ray goggles that tell you what the next card is. It's not like, oh, there's a higher chance that it's this. It's like, oh, I know this is gonna happen. Million dollars, according to court documents. Insider trading is fascinating because on one hand you have these elaborate multi-year schemes and on the other, there's cases that are too small for national news coverage but have the most absurd details exposed in court documents. There's so many unbelievably bad attempts to cheat the stock market but I've picked out a few of my all-time favorites. A quick thanks to Tigger for sponsoring. Yo, I also feel like I could just get away with it. Is that crazy? I feel like it's not hard. Like, we're gonna watch this and I think I'm gonna be proven wrong. I feel like I'd be able to get away with insider trading. That's cocky. I feel like I could get away with insider trading. I feel like there's a way to tell someone to tell someone to tell someone that doesn't really loop back to you. And then you like rope it back. Like Markiplier, bro, Markiplier buying a percentage of GoPro is not insider trading. Like, I, yo, being dead ass, I, like, he's just supporting a company that he likes and also works with. That's not insider trading. Is that? No, thanks, though. Like, if you do an ad, like, like if I do an ad for Apple, I would never do an ad for Apple. Apple doesn't sponsor people. If I did an ad for Apple, obviously I'm gonna invest in the company that I'm promoting, because it's like, why would you not be like, oh, I wanna prove into the success of this? I don't think Markiplier was insider trading. Okay, so back to, I think Markiplier is just rich enough to buy 10% of the company. Chris Collins, this scandal is such an excellent starting point because it helps us understand the architecture of the typical only if you don't work at the company also not true because a lot of the time when you work at companies part of your payment is their stocks it's not insider trading to invest in a company that you work at insider trading because half of your payment package might be stocks in that company this game Chris Collins represented New York's 27th district and at the same time he was a direct you jack video alright actor and one of the largest shareholders of innate immunotherapeutics. It was an Australian biopharmaceuticals company with just one major product, MIS416. It's a drug that aims to provide symptom relief to patients with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. The phase 2b clinical trial began in October of 2014 and the entire fate of the company rested on its success. If the results of that trial showed that the drug was ineffective, then the company was practically worthless and the stock would decline violently in price. On the 9th of June 2017, innate CEO emailed the board of directors, including Chris Collins, informing them that the trial results would be known on the 22nd of that month. Chris Collins knew that he'd be attending a congressional picnic at the White House, but so what? He was confident that the trial would be a success. On the evening of the 22nd, a number of politicians gathered on the south lawn of the White House, with President Donald Trump scheduled to speak at about 7.30pm. At 6.55pm, Chris Collins receives an email notification on his phone. It's from the CEO of innate immunotherapeutics, addressed to the directors of the company. It said, I have bad news to report. The results for the clinical trial showed no statistically significant difference in outcomes between MIS 416 and a placebo. Or in other words, the drug. And but yo, yo, I'm not defending this guy. But like, I'm reading that and I'm going, I could pull all of my money out right now and be fine. Like, you know how much of an urge you would have to resist? You could be like, I could just save myself $600,000 right now if I just pull out. That the entire- Pause. Higher company dependent on was a complete- We gotta show you're rich. This information was obviously very sa- You're rich Joe, stop being a dick. I'm not being a dick! Tensitive, so innate also asked the ASX to halt trading in the stock. The public would find out about the trial results in four days on the 26th, so pausing trading helps prevent insiders like directors from dumping their shares onto investors who haven't been fully informed yet. At 7 10 p.m. Chris Collins replies to the CEO's email saying, wow, makes no sense. How are these results even possible? Unsurprisingly, he was not happy. He owns nearly 17% of the company, a stake. All right, bro, you really can't, you really can't stop. Like he actually, did he sell all of his shares? Did he sell all of his shares and think that they that wouldn't be like a red flag worth tens of millions of dollars he's the highest shareholder about one minute later chris attempts to call his son Cameron is 16 a lot yeah to own 17 of a company a publicly traded company that's like unheard of for most for most stocks like you could buy like 80 million dollars of Nvidia and you would own a fraction of a percentage of the company like owning That's why it was like a big deal when Markiplier poured like 15 million or whatever it was into GoPro and bought like 8% or 12% of it Or whatever it was because it's like that's like a reasonable size He doesn't answer So he tries again Still no answer. Yeah Nitro said 0.1% of Apple is 115 million. But that's also like one of the biggest companies traded in the stock market. But he doesn't give up. Between 7-11 and 7-16 PM, there are six unanswered calls between them. And at 7-16 PM, the 7th finally connects. They spoke for about six minutes and CBS caught the call while covering the White House event. We don't know exactly what was said on the call, but considering what happened next, I think it's pretty obvious. Cameron Collins drove to his fiance's parents' house to see Stephen Sakski. They arrived at 9.17pm, and 17 minutes later, Sakski's wife was on the phone with her broker, selling 30,000 shares right before the trading halt went into effect. The next morning, Zasky texted his sister, call me ASAP, and then call me immediately. When they spoke, he told her she needed to sell her innate shares and to not ask why. Unfortunately, her broker couldn't execute the order due to the trading holds. Cameron, meanwhile, had already found a way around it. There were some shi- You're telling me, you're telling me I work at one of these companies and I can't fucking hire a carrier pigeon to deliver messages by mail so I don't meet them in person. I don't text them. I don't call them. There's nothing on camera and they sell their share. And I train the pigeon to deliver this message to my friend and I go, you need to sell your Nvidia shares. You smoke signals. Start a fire in the streets. There's still trading on what's called an over-the-counter market. It's like spelling it out. U-N-E-E-D-T-O. side markers, and it's American, so it was outside the ASX trading holds. Between the morning of the 23rd and the close on the 26th of June, Cameron sold about 1.4 million shares. Bro, I thought you lived in Canada. I thought you lived in like the middle of nowhere in Canada. What the fuck? Why have an American wife? Oh well I wish you the best man. I'm sorry that you're fucking gone through that. Oh my god. You have a free toad bro come on. Why am I fraud? Oh so I can't actually come hide out with you. Oh no that would be very bad if you're actually getting deported and you come to hide out with me. You're also openly having this exchange with me in front of 14,000 people. So I think if you were, you're also openly having this exchange with me in front of 14,000 people saying that you need to hide with me. Whatever they're not looking. And false. No one's gonna snitch. Yeah, okay. Nobody here's gonna snitch. They pled not guilty at first, but in 2019, Collins resigned from Congress and pled guilty to conspiracy to commit securities fraud and lying to law enforcement. He was sentenced to 26 months in prison Which I'm sure he served in full. Oh, wait, hang on a minute. Looks like he surrendered to prison in October 2020 and Two months later he received a presidential pardon From Trump and was Okay, released. Oh Okay, hmm, so you're the guy in the photo. I am the guy in the photo Two men who've kind of hidden behind some cars one, see me. God, bro. It really is just like pulling favors to get like people's like hands to have people in your hands. It's like, that's what he does. Like hold do it'll be like I scratch your back. Now you have to fucking help me. And it's like, you're going to toss. You're going to toss about my way. You're going to do this my way. You're going to help me out in this way. You need to be handing an envelope to the other man. of the in a capture insider trading in action. This is the story of a man who threw away a 30 year accounting career. Sorry, just real quick before we get into this. Just shave the head, okay. It's too far gone. I need this, I need to say this. There's an old man haircut you could rock and who's the one guy in fallout, the show? He really does it well. Walton Goggins, Walton Goggins, editor, image of Walton Goggins. Sexy man, has a very bad hairline, and it works. This, no bueno, shave the head. So that he could get tickets to a Bruce Springsteen. And you better fucking do it, editor. You better fucking do it. I don't rewatch a lot of my fucking videos, but I saw one the other day where I was like, I throw up an image of this, and you just put up text that said, no, I'm not doing that, I'm too lazy. So sometimes, sometimes you gotta actually fucking throw up the image of Walton Goggins, okay fucker? In concerts. Okay, that might be a slight oversimplification, so let me explain what happens. Scott London was a partner at the account- Walton Goggins. That's, oh sorry, I was saying Walton. In firm KPMG, he personally oversaw the auditing of many very big c- It's Walter? I don't know what his name is. Companies, which- Shut up! I need to pay attention. Blame what happens. Scott London was a partner- Yo, be back. Thank you for the five gifteds. Vee and Nock for the sub. Agus, Space Broke, a cult for the five gifteds. Bloody for the tier two. Denny and Platinum, F1, Mila. Kledis, Denny. Nick, Thoth for the sub. Toad, thank you for the sub again. Mason, thank you for the five gifteds. Elphil, Mollecor, KT, Drain, Naki, Louis, Holly, Sasquatch, Isaac Sill. Panic rabbit, Jane for the sub. Sweet Sam, Mom, Moldy, Mel, 10, Luke, Alfie, Halo. LeBron, TT, Foud, Jaden, Jackie, Cupcake for the sub. At the accounting firm KPMG, he personally oversaw the auditing of many very big companies, which gave him access to financial statements and results that hadn't been announced publicly yet. Sometime around 2010, London's friend Brian Shaw came to him with a proposal. He goes, hey, I know a way that we can both make a little bit of money. Shaw's idea was for London to feed him information about companies that were about to announce their quarterly earnings. If the results were going to be better than the market expected, then he could buy shares in the company before the release and sell them after for a profit. The main initial reaction was that, you know, I was joking. I just, you know, I said, well, I mean, we can't do that. Shaw ran a family jewelry business that was hit hard by the global financial crisis. He was struggling, and London wanted to help him out, so he agreed. On the 28th of October 2010, Deckers was scheduled to report their third quarter results at Market Close. London had already seen the press release. Decker's had grown sales by 22% and earnings per share by 24%, both higher than investors were anticipating. London passed the tip to Shaw, who bought 25 call options on the stock just hours before the announcement. As expected, the stock jumped 7% and the bet made a small profit. The exact same day, Shaw bought 35 call options on another company, Herbalife. was announcing it's see I feel like the this is how the like you hear about these is people being like egregious with the amount that they're fucking doing but if you did like this one time I don't think they're fucking looking into you is that crazy to say like I think if you're if you're at the point like obviously if he's doing this with Herbalife and like five other companies they're gonna go this is suspicious hours before. But if you do this, if you're doing this and you go, okay, one company I invest in, you go, oh, I was just reading up on it, Q3 earnings three days later. And when it did, the stock rose 3%, another profitable trade. Over about 18 months, they repeated the scheme at least 14 times, generating at least $700,000 in profits to Bro, but I feel like you could just have like one banger bet, no? Instead of having to do like 14 micro bets, just have one fucking really crazy call. And then just dip. And if they like really look into it, you're like, it's like a one off thing. There's no repetition. There's no proof that you're getting fed information. Sure. Some of it was shared with London. They'd made on side streets near Shaw's jewelry business and he'd hand over bags of cash in $10,000 bundles. Shaw also compensated him with gifts, including a Rolex Daytona worth about $12,000 and concert tickets. Shaw reckons he spent between $25,000 and $45,000 on tickets for the two of them, including to a Bruce Springsteen concert. In December of that year, London- I think that's the problem too, is that it's your close friend. It'd be like me giving Chris like information about like Twitch or like Amazon or like some company that I knew, you know. It's like you guys are hanging out and it's like, oh, this guy's investing in all the companies that you work with. That's weird. Right versus you telling this guy who tells a guy who tells a guy then they pay you. It's sure off to a huge merger that was taking place. United Rentals, the nation's largest equipment retail company is set to acquire RSC Holdings Inc. for 1.9 billion dollars. Shaw bought 27,000 shares of RSC that day before the announcement and made almost $200,000 when the stock surged. A few months later, they did the same thing with Pacific Capitals merger, making more than $365,000. It all began falling apart around In July 2012, when Shaw's broker, Fidelity, put a hold on his investment accounts. Shaw panicked and rang London, telling him that their insider trading had been discovered. But London told him to relax. Insider trading, he said, was like counting cards at the casino in Las Vegas. If you got caught, they'd simply ask you to leave because they couldn't prove it. The problem with London's little analogy there is that counting cards isn't a federal crime. And the FBI will have all the proof it needs if they can catch you with your hand in the honey pot. The investigation began around the time Fidelity froze Shaw's account, so he had every reason to panic. In early 2013, he was confronted by the US Attorney's Office. I don't understand why they're doing money handoffs in front of like car dealerships in fast food places. Are they close friends that go to concerts and golf together? Why couldn't he just bring the money to his house and be like, we were just having beers that night. Like, I don't, why are you like in public doing like a sneaky like envelope trade of like 80 grand? Like you just be like, oh, I was just going to hang out with them. And a grade two snitch on London. He came in without any deals and he decided to go forward with the government fully, completely and truthfully. he started recording their phone calls. One of the more interesting exchanges involves Herbalife. London allegedly tipped off Shaw that Herbalife should beat earnings in February and that should send the stock up. But quote, he was concerned about hedge fund manager Bill Ackman driving down the price of the stock. I wish you would have known that he was going to release that and we could have made some money. London responded, yeah, that would have been nice. The FBI. And it's also just the rate of success that raises suspicion. Like, if you have create, like, why not just purposefully bud, you know? God, I feel like I know I would fail if I tried to insider trade, and I don't think you should insider trade anyway. But, like, why- you're sitting here, your stock portfolio is like 10 out of 10. Every bet you make is a banger. You know, why not just toss some money away? Throw fucking 30 grand away on a bet that's horrible. Like, you know it's gonna fail. Like, do the reverse. Insider trade, but badly. Be like, I know this company's gonna fail. I'm gonna bet that it's gonna succeed. And then now my stock portfolio looks normal because I keep fucking up. I then set up two fake meetings where Shaw was given- Is that- is that stupid? I feel like that's a smart play. Like, why not be like, do the reverse? Go to the guy and go like, hey, I'm just betting on the companies that he talks to me about. He's not feeding me any info. He's just like, I know these are the companies he works with. Cash to hand to London, which is how this photo was obtained. The FBI says this photo shows London accepting five grand in cash from jeweler Brian Shaw, which London allegedly believed was his cut from profits made on a tip about decker's outdoor, which sells uggs. The feds claim tips like that made you. We're insider trading for five grand, brother. I mean, like, we really need to pick it up, you know? I feel like if you're insider trading, you gotta be making like 100k. Five grand to commit a fucking federal crime. Shaw, whose jewelry business was hit hard in the recession more than a million dollars in illegal profits. Was like, okay. That's like when you hear people like Rob a liquor store for like a hundred dollars. Oh, sorry, we emptied the cash register earlier. What's my wife? So you're committing aggravated armed robbery for fucking $45. and a free bottle of fucking Jack Daniels. I say, what are my friends gonna say? Oh, I'm gonna lose my job. Oh, I'm gonna go to prison. London pled guilty to one count of securities fraud and was sentenced to 14 months in prison. Brian Shaw was sentenced to five months and had already paid the SEC about $1.9 million in- Oh! So did he lose money overall? Discouragement and penalties. Was it for the thrill? No, it wasn't exciting at all. More than anything, it was a nuisance. All right, that story was a lot of dates and numbers, so as a pellet cleanser, let me show you one of the dumbest insider trading attempts I've found. I call this one, I feel like I could just so easily, I feel like insider trading on sports is the best. Go fucking, yo, Shohei, go chunk some balls into the fucking, Go chunk some balls into the left field stands, bro. Hit some fouls and strike out for me. Why don't ya? Like, you know somebody that's gonna go take a fight and you're like, and you just go, oh, okay, you're gonna throw. You're gonna jail. Yeah, it would be really suspicious. Why are you betting against your friend? Why are you putting 20 grand that your friend gets knocked out round one? Don't ya? Shohei did that? No, Shohei made some sketchy bets that his translator made. No, Shohei's translator made those bets. Why Shohei's translator had access to his bank account and millions of dollars to place these bets? I have no idea. Ask Google for instructions on how to commit a felony. In 2016, Fei Yang got information about two corporate mergers from his- Who the hell is Shohei? Wow. the best baseball player of all time, arguably? Wife who was a lawyer working on the deals. The first was Mattress Firm, which was being acquired by the company Steinhulf International. Yann opened a brokerage account in his mother's name. Very arguably. Yeah, I would say, well, most people would say, yeah, he's like the first two-way player that's just fucking insane. Isn't his contract like a billion dollars? The first was Mattress Firm, which was being acquired by the company Steinhulf International. Yann opened a brokerage account in his mother's name and bought about 300 shares of Mattress Firm stock for around $31 a share. Weeks later, when the acquisition was made public, the stock jumped 114%, netting Yann a $9,700 profit. That's like not suspicious though. A year, Yann's wife's firm began drafting a merger agreement for Cibania Gold to take over steel water mining. Yann bought call options to bet on steel water stock rising as the negotiations went on, and when the deal was announced, dumped the entire position for a profit of about 110,000 gold. That's suspicious! Yann's internet history revealed Google searches during the month. How SEC detects unusual trades, insider trading international accounts. That included how SEC detects unusual trade and insider trading with international accounts. While browsing, he opened up an article titled US Insider Trading Enforcement Goes Global. Dude, that's like what's that one murder case where the guy was like googling how to like cut up bodies or something He was like he was pleading not guilty and they pull up like his Non-private Google search and it's like how to chop up how to hide a body What is the penalty of of killing someone? Like it's just how to get away with murder like why are you googling that at like the day before for somebody dies. And my personal favorite, want to commit insider trading, here's how not to do it. If only Yan had read that article before committing the most obvious securities fraud. The SEC saw the two profitable trades were both linked to the same law firm, and in July 2017 he was charged with two counts of securities fraud and one count of wire fraud. He forfeited he's a hundred and twenty thousand dollar profit and was sentenced to 15 months in prison. His wife was never charged. The court filing seemed to imply that she didn't know that her husband was going behind her back with information she'd shared with him. Spouses naturally talk about their work with each other which is why I thought that was going to be an ad. It's one of the most common types of insider trading. They mostly involve small amounts of money but the emails text messages and divorces make them some of the funniest stories. On the 6th of July 2010, Aeon Corporation agreed to merge with Hewitt Associates in what would be a $4.9 billion deal. One of the Aeon executives made a 12 minute call to her husband, Jason Hanald, to share the news. About 20 minutes later, she sent an email to her husband. Don't send any emails about what I just told you a minute later. Hannel's replies. I won't no need I only wish I'd bought their stock I'm sure Hannel that's not insider trading though was just joking about the idea of using Confidential information to make a quick buck But the SEC didn't find it all that funny Probably because less than a day later Hannel deposited $28,000 into his Scott trade account and bought 831 shares of Hewitt for $34.25 a share. Five days later, when the merger was announced, he sold everything for a $10,000 profit. Bro, that's like, knock that, like, I know 10 grand's a lot of money, but like, it's not that much for what they're committing, you know, like you're risking like, like hundreds of thousands of dollars in penalties where you're gonna loot your millionaire by the way chat That's not the point you listen to me. You're doing yours. You're you're making 10 grand to potentially it find way more and be in Jail for three years. It's like I feel like if you're gonna commit insider trading like Bang out 500k, you know and then dip He was never criminally charged, but the sec made him hand back $20,000 in disgorgement He lost money for this. In 2012, Qin Hua Chen thought he'd try his luck. His wife was the senior tax director at Informatica and in June 2012 was told that the data management company would miss their quarterly revenue target it had promised to investors. She discussed the sensitive information on business calls she made while the couple drove to Reno for a vacation. Chen, who was driving, overheard enough of it, and bet against the stock, resulting in a $138,000 profit when it declined. Four years later, an airplane mechanic made a series of rookie mistakes. James Hengen's wife was a HR executive at a United Health subsidiary, working on the people's side of its merger. And from the bedroom, What would be insider trading if you knew Luigi Mangione was going to kill the CEO? Oh my god, and then you might get roped in, yeah. And then you might get roped in on like, uh, like, uh, accomplice to murder. Like, say you know Luigi Mangione and he's like, I'm going to kill the CEO of United Health there. And you bet that the stock's going to drop. Now, like, insider trading, and now they're like, you knew he was going to fucking kill him. Upstairs, he overheard two things on one of her conference calls. USM- How would you trade on that? You're not trading on his death. You would be trading that the stock would drop because the CEO gets shot. MD and the name Dr. House. Like if the CEO of NVIDIA died, NVIDIA stock would go down. A couple of Google searches later and he was able to infer that UnitedHealth was buying USM-D. a Texas healthcare company who CEO was Dr. John House. He bought more than 8,000 shares of the acquisition target and then tipped his brother and three co-workers that they should all break the law too. In one text message to a co-worker he wrote, hang on to USMD because good news is coming soon. Followed the next month by big news is coming soon for USMD. Make sure you have USMD before market close another co-worker tried buying one thousand shit what if I do like a Robin Hood type thing and I go into like my Marvel rivals lobby, and I'm like hey guys not financial advice But if you really want to buy this stock it might might be good for you You know like I just start dishing out some like public advice Right so like randos in like pub matches like I'm just like I'm in like VR chat and I'm like yeah you know I really think USMD stocks gonna bang out guys I don't know I wink wink you should probably buy it you know as but accidentally put in an order for one share meaning they risked a felony conviction for a potential profit of five dollars the co-worker five dollars it eventually bump up their position to a thousand shares but But even then, the whole first scheme made Hengen, his brother and the co-workers, only $40,000 between them. Hengen did it again with another healthcare merger, this time opening his wife's notebook while she was out of the room. But I saved the best pillow talk inside a trading case for last. The Tyler Loudon case was a spectacular disaster. In 2022, his wife was working on BP's $1.3 billion acquisition of Travel Centers of America. According to Loudon's own lawyers, the couple were facing some marital stress, and the SEC said that he wanted to make enough money that she wouldn't have to work such long hours anymore. So, his genius plan to save their marriage was to use the acquisition details he'd overheard from his wife to make them a bit of profit. He liquidated his stock portfolio and bought $2 million worth of travel centre stock with... out his wife's knowledge. You have $2 million in your stock portfolio and you're sitting here saying like, I wish my wife didn't have to work such long hours, but you have $2 million in the fucking stock market. Your wife doesn't need to work 60 hours a week. She could cut back a little bit. You got money. The stock jumps nearly... like, yeah, fucking 0.1% of the United States, but still 71% when you got a little cushion to lean back on. And the deal hit the news cycle and he sold for a $1.76 million profit. When the financial regulatory body began sniffing around, Loudon confessed what he had done to his wife. And she reported him to her boss, moved out and by June, she had begun divorce proceedings. He pled guilty in 2024 and was sentenced to 24 months in prison. The unjust part is the collateral damage his wife faced. Despite reporting the breach to her BP supervisor immediately and their review of her emails finding no evidence of involvement, she was still terminated. That makes no sense. I feel like she should be able to sue for that. I couldn't possibly make an insider trading video without the Kluge-Bauer scheme. This is the Financial News Network. I'm Jessica Kordemalsch. Federal prosecutors have charged two men with an insider trading scheme that went on for 17 years. Between 9- SEVENTEEN YEARS! 1994 and 2011, Matthew Kluger and Garrett Bauer operated one of the longest insider trading schemes ever prosecuted. It ended with the harshest prison sentence ever handed down for insider trading, and I'm honestly shocked this hasn't been made into a movie yet. Kluger was a summer associate at a New York law firm called Krabath Swain & Moore. He quickly became aware of how much market moving information he had access to weeks or months before it went public. One day he was explaining this to a friend who he'd worked with a few years earlier. Kenneth Robinson was a mortgage broker who'd go on to work at a venture capital firm called Wisepeck and Greer. In reaction to Kluge's unique circumstance, he said, So what you're telling me is you get to know what's going to happen before the rest of the world does. Kluger said, yeah, I guess. You could make a lot of money with that information. Kluger replied, yeah, but it's really risky. You could end up going to jail. Kluger knew that he would be the one taking the biggest risk, and as an ambitious New York attorney, would likely become exceedingly wealthy by simply staying within the bounds of the law. However, the possibility of pulling it off excited him. Kluger knew that insider trading was rampant, and told himself he wasn't stealing from anybody. As he put it later, I'm greedy, I deluded myself into believing. I mean, aren't you kind of stealing from people because the market share value that you're getting is from the losses from the other people? Like if you're gaining money in the stock market from your sales, you're doing that off the backs of the people that are then losing, which they would be losing anyway because the stock would dip, but instead of them losing the amount of money lost, I might have lost less." In that what I was doing wasn't all that bad. What made this 17-year scheme so notorious was the incredible lengths they went to to make it practically impossible for the FBI to trace. After talking with Kluger, Robinson went to a man he'd met at the firm, Garrett Bauer. Bauer was a professional stock trader, and was the perfect person to execute the trades. He bought and sold a wide number of stocks every... Yeah, it's so, it's so less suspicious if you rope in a guy who is mass trading stocks in such a volume that like, anything that they're doing that's insider trading is just kind of getting swapped under the rug, versus somebody's like personal assets that they're just putting into it. Single day, sorry the illegal ones wouldn't stand out to the SEC. By the middle of 1994, the three of them had their roles, each with an important part to play. Kluger would get information about upcoming corporate events, he'd pass the tips to Robinson acting as the middleman who then passed the tips to Bauer to place the trades. That way there was nothing connecting Kluge and Bauer. For 17 years everything went through Robinson. Bro, and you gotta think there are people that haven't been caught. Like, same thing with like murder cases or just like any of this shit in general when you're going wow this is like a really fucking smart scheme I can't believe it failed. It's like there's guys that have been ripping this for 20 years and it's never gone bad Yeah, somebody said Trump. I mean, yeah, these are some of the fucking president But like yeah a lot of people in the government Really? And it's just like nothing ever goes through after a deal Bell would pull the money out at 80 m's in $50 bills. They agreed to split it three ways Robinson hid the cash in safety deposit boxes and Kluge drove to New York to collect his share in small cheap gym bags August 1994 was when it all began. Working at Krabath, Kluger learned that one of his clients, Johnson & Johnson, was merging with Neutrogena. Kluger called Robinson with the tip and Robinson passed it to Bauer. Bauer traded ahead of the announcement which drove Neutrogena stock up for a combined $24,000 profit. They repeated this method 24,000 in 1994 today 54 grand so the first trade they did profit each of them what like 15 50 16k frequently each increasing in size J&J's my tech surgical merger $48,000 IBM's Lotus development merger $213,000 Johnson and Johnson's courtes take over 423. But what do you do with this cash? Because it's not technically dirty money because it's stock. It's not dirty money for power. But like, he's paying the stock on the trades being sold. But then like, if you're the other two guys, are you just maintaining this revenue and cash? Because you can't put it into a bank account. Because if you're putting, you know, 30, 40 grand in a bank account, The IRS is going, what the fuck's happening? Yo, Maud's band-vab. $1000. Nations Bank and Barnett Banks. Like, how are you hiding this money? $490,000. Kluge was careful not to take any unnecessary risks when gathering confidential information. He almost never accessed client documents on the firm's file systems. By only searching for titles, he could figure out which companies were making deals without leaving an electronic fingerprint. Bauer and Robinson even built themselves an alibi for the cash withdrawals. The two of them traveled to Atlantic City, so the money looked like it had come from gambling. In 1999, Intel acquired DSP. Yeah, but even if it looks like a cut, that's not a solid alibi. If you're like, oh, it's money from Atlantic City and you have proof that you went there, they could still go to like the Borgata or ocean, I mean ocean didn't exist then or say like the Tropicana, Golden Nugget, whatever fucking AC casino you're going to and they're going, did this guy win $80,000 at this casino and they're gonna go, no. Communications for $1.6 billion and the trade netted more than a million dollars in profit. When Robinson handed Kluger his share of the million dollar profit, he told him that the three of them had made $150,000 in total after Bauer had paid taxes. Uh-oh! And now he's trying to keep more money for himself? Bauer always said he took about 45% off the top for taxes and fees. Kluge didn't find out until his arrest that Bauer had actually been keeping more than 90% for himself. Around that time, Kluge received a call from the SEC, asking him about three merger deals on which he had leaked. He was giving 90% for himself. How did you not fucking ever run the math? You could be like, dude, the stock jumped so much we all made a mill and it's like, oh no, your shares 20 grand. Information, regulators subpoenaed bank and phone records, and it looked like it was the end of the line. I was ready to sell Robinson up the river, Kluge later said. In hindsight, that was a foreshadowing of the scheme's poetic climax. So in 1999, they stopped. Convinced they were about to be caught, all three agreed to suspend trading. It would be nearly seven years before they dove straight back in. In April 2006, Bauer traded on inside information about Quantum's acquisition of Advanced Digital Information Corp. ADIC stock rose more than 40%, generating a $1.7 million trading profit. The bets just kept getting bigger and bigger, peaking in 2009 with an 11.4 million dollar profit from the Oracle Sun Microsystems Act. 11 million dollar profit! Oh my god! I fought one trade and then right after it was 8.2 million. They're eluding regulators for 15 years, they're hubris. That looks so suspicious! That's not even like, oh even with all the trades he's doing it's like, you made 11 mil on one trade was breeding Brecklessness by late 2009 the SEC had been investigating the suspicious trades for more than two years, but lacked the evidence tying Kluger directly to Bauer. They may have never got them if it wasn't for Robinson's greed. In November 2009 and August 2010, Robinson personally traded ahead of two merger announcements for at least 690. The FBI went after Robinson in March 2011 and within days he had agreed to cooperate, secretly recording his own calls with Kluger and separately with Bauer. Both Bauer and Kluger were aware investigators were closing in, but they had no idea that Robinson was already compromised Some of the oh my god being watched by the fucking after you I knew courted conversations are so hilarious, so I I I think that was I don't think that was the actual audio chat. I advise actors to re-enact the word-for-word from the transcripts. Robinson says he's got $175,000 in cash hidden at his cousin's house. And at this point, Bauer is so paranoid that he suggests just setting it on fire. I'm just buying gold and hiding it in the fucking woods telling one person verbally where it is and then disappearing. I feel like that's what like you ever see modern times like the guys that that like crypto scam, like they crypto scammed some billionaire out of like $2 billion or some shit blew a lot of it and then they got a lot of it back and now he's like serving like 10 years in prison but like 80 million still missing. I'm like, buddy, it didn't proof away. That fucker knows where it is. And he's going to get that money when he leaves. Like, that's just what's going to happen. Alright, so I know, but I don't know where he's from. What about his point of view? Does he know that my goodness is on that money? Ten days later, Robinson comes back with a better idea. One he says he got from his cousin. He had to get all my fingerprints off that money. Yeah, like, you're wearing gloves or something and just wiping every bill down or something. Wiping every bill down? Yeah, but it's like, if it's me, he's wiping every bill down or something. You know something? Somebody did say, why don't you just run into a fish and watch him shoot you? Well, I don't know. I just think that's a good excuse to not know about it. But the single greatest sentence on the recordings is easily this one from Bauer just nine days before his arrest. Yes. Well, you know what? I'm not sure. I'm lucky, you know, I thought there was no way that I could have to do a course. Matthew Kluger, Garrett Bauer and Kenneth Robinson were all charged with numerous counts of securities fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and obstruction of justice. You don't always know what you're getting into. You do know the information is illegal, but just like I thought, most people think that they're just not going to get caught. Bauer and Kluger pleaded guilty in December to securities fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and instructing justice. The scheme general, they need so much money too, like if they pulled out like a year earlier, they all would have been like 10, 20 million in profit. Like surely! Rated the trio an estimated 30- OHHHHHHHHHH 37 million 7 million OHHHHHHHH 37 million in dollars over the 17 years, with that we're keeping 32 million dollars And they didn't know he made 32 million and only gave the other guys 2.5 each and Cluga receiving less than one. Oh my god, and he's the fucking guy that was in on it initially. That's insane One million dollars despite agreeing to split the profits evenly and yet Cluga received the harshest punishment Sentenced to one hundred and forty four months in prison. Bauer received a hundred and eight months and Robinson just 27 months I mean I get why they charged him the most because he was the one with the information and he was giving that over I Get Robinson having the least because he cooperated but like Bauer is the guy Actually placing the bet Like these two should be equal to one another the one that initially has the information and the one that's placing the bet The middleman's just like, yeah, you know, this is what he said. Like, I think that's like, you're the least involved. Kluger's 12 year prison sentence is the longest ever imposed for insider trading. He was released in 2022. So what's the lesson from all of this? Use an incognito browser when you search for a wiki how fraud tutorial. No, definitely not that. The lesson is to leave insider trading to the professionals. Yeah, just match on Nancy Pelosi's trades and then you're good. You want to be involved, just be like, oh, what's Nancy? What's Nancy Pelosi? And instead, give yourself every legal advantage, production, cover, miss, and import, modest opinions, verbal coverage of over 100,000 stocks and track over 10,000 funds through global markets. It's a good chart visual day for Christ's sake, and while I put Poggle in summer, the mayhem you easily expect in crate to try it at risk for any bad, and as always, thanks for watching. Oh my god, it's the end of the video. It's the end of the video. Hamish Hotter wrote, what a fucking vid, man. Wow. Hamishers, they could easily transfer the info in a Minecraft world on a sign. Joe, that's so fucking smart. Not even that, just go on 2B2T. Make a shell Microsoft account, mod it, go on 2B2T, and then weren't there people that were using the AI in 2B2T to make bombs or something? There was anarchy servers that people would go on, and they would bypass Google's memory by going on a Minecraft server and doing terrorism info with AI on 2B2T. This is actually so smart from the Among Us profile picture. They could transfer the info on a Minecraft sign. Oh. Cold, dude. Yeah, we're just playing Minecraft together. That's actually fucking genius. You start the conversation that way. I'm like playing Minecraft with my friend. I'm like, look at the sign. Look at the sign. I place it down, don't verbally reply. Type and sign back. Do you like insider trading, question mark? Break it, break it. Hit it with a max. Do it. It would take forever to have a conversation with that chip though. Oh my God. Staffing Mr. Everthesub, Koopa, Mod, and Carb and Skylar Everthesub, sir, thank you for the five gifteds. Rachel and Fetal, thank you for the sub. Zyde, Lajo, Iron and Liam, but the sub, backseat, thank you for the three. Wait, what did that say? Type of this from the hospital, visiting my grandpa. She's a cancer wrap around her spine. I just like to, I'd like for Chet to pray for her and wish her well. Well, I have cancer in the chat. I wish your grandma the best. I'm sorry that you and your family and your grandma specifically are going through that. Staff of the sub. All right. Chet, I got to pee and then we're going to hop into the next video. Oh my gosh. Count me down like a minute. you I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm chaos. Any house jazz really. All right. Fox. Next video shot. Let's lock it in. What happened to box? What happened to box tops? A staple of American. A staple of American school culture from the late 90s through the 2000s. Oh my God. Do you all remember Field Day when you were a kid? I don't know if your school did this. Mine did. Where it was like you got put on like green, blue, whatever team. And you had competitions that day if you did well for your team, you scored a point for your team, blah, blah, blah, whatever it was. whatever it was, you know, you had like four events, five events here, whatever you did. And part of the, say like first place in an event, net your team like five points. And there were like 20 events that day. But then there was a side event that my team had called box stops. And it was whichever team brought in the most box stops immediately got like 30 points or something like that. Or like a free pizza day. So my mom would collect every box stop off of tissue boxes, cereal boxes for like a year, like all year, and then she would give them to me in a bag. And I would have a fat ass bag of box stops. And I would come and clutch for my team, bring over like 120 of them. And they were what, worth like 10 cents or some shit for your school. Box top snacks have for education cause you are cash so there's more things your school needs. It was this program where you would find these little cardboard squares on the boxes of cereals and snacks. You would cut these out, bring them to class and somehow your school would get money. Ten cents for every box top. Millions of us kids did this for years. But most- Are box tops still a thing? I'm trying to think on like if I even see I don't think I see box tops anymore Yeah, they are. I don't think they are I Don't see them like I have a tissue box right here. I mean like I opened it, but I don't see There's not a box top There's any other boxes in here. I Know there's stuff where you can like cash in like like soda can tabs or whatever for money But I don't know, check your serial box. I was all QR codes now. I was never really questioned how it actually worked. So that had me thinking. Can I say I feel like it would be better if it was not digital? I feel like digital in that sense makes less sense. Like who's actually scanning a QR code on every box? Whatever happened to box tops and where was all of that money going? In this video, I'll be investigating the box talks program. How it would work, where it stands today And talking to a real school teacher on if they would actually make any money from the program as oh my god Literally nothing you got to think dude your whole school turning in box tops. How much money is your school making from that? $400 maybe Like your whole school you're getting ten cents a box stop you ten box tops are a dollar Kid knew like hand in the box tops, but I think my biggest question was Guys, something fun came in the mail. This is funny, it's a strike box. Oh, you could buy, like, OG fucking cereal boxes? Yeah, I bought cereal boxes from the 2000s. But here's the real reason why I bought them. Dude, people really be saving anything. That's, like, max level hoarding. Just saving a Lucky Charms box just for this specific person. like who outside of him is buying this? Box tops, they have box tops on them. This one's been expired for 16 years now. It doesn't mean that's actually 18 years. Oh, but you know what we gotta do. I don't have actual scissors. I haven't done this in over 18 years. There it is. A box top has been cut in 2026. 10 cents right there. Yeah, I was going down memory lane because when I was in elementary school, box tops were serious business. My teacher would be like, whichever class brings in the most gets a pizza party. Yo, literally, literally. And it was like, you had, bro, you were banking on your friends, you would be like, yo, you better bring in box tops, you fuck. There'd be like somebody bringing like 10, you'd be like, yo, you're not even trying, you just started collecting them. Then you had somebody bringing a bag, that was my mom, and I was like, my mom's been saving these up the whole fucking year. I've been having these in a bag for this exact moment. I would then go home and immediately start rating it. I remember as well, my school used to do this thing every year and it was an auction. So this is how they raised money for the school. This is like when I was in elementary or like maybe early middle school. And every year they would have an auction for the parents and you were like a lot to go if you wanted to. And they would have certain things. And some of it would be like box raffles or whatever, like our bag raffles. I mean where it's like oh movie movie bundle movie basket and it's like you put in your stupid tickets and like maybe you get it Maybe you don't they make money like that But then they would do like big ticket items and they had a one and I got I remember my class got it in third grade It was called it was called sleepover at the school and it was awesome and in third grade my what all the parents like pulled up enough money or whatever in my class to have a sleepover at the So when I was in third grade, it was one random like fucking Saturday or Friday or whatever And we just like pulled up and the gym teacher was there and it was like the art teacher slash Spanish teacher And we would like just play games and fuck around and we would watch movies on the projector in the computer room and like we slept at the school and That was awesome. They had other stuff that was like a day of surfing They had one that was dinner or it was like lunch with the school teacher or lunch with the principal. And I remember being like, why would I ever wanna have a solo lunch with the principal? And it was always like one random kid that their parent would pay for it. And because it wasn't even a class-based one. It was like your kid got to have lunch with the principal. And I was like, that's so fucking awkward. Like you and your principal just eating like McDonald's together For insider trading. Yeah, I mean, maybe it's building connections like it's just like it just makes no sense but anyways We had we had the sleepover and I remember there's this one kid I think his name was Moushari and he was an Arabic kid that came from Some other country to the United States didn't speak any English So we're in third grade and we're doing class and he's learning English on Elmo on like Like a fucking Frogger like iPad or something and this was late enough into the year Arabic kid. I'm crying. I don't remember brahs in third grade I was in third grade I was in third grade we pull up and is leapfrog or whatever Where I'm in third grade. I pull up and randomly our teacher goes we have a new kid today And she's like he doesn't speak English and we're like I'm in third grade, you know, I'm like eight years old. How old are you in third grade like nine? I'm like, what does that mean? I'm like, what does that mean? Like you speak Spanish like that was probably my fucking response like I'm a nine year old You know not even in like a racist way. I'm like I'm nine years old. I don't understand that shit So they're like no, he just doesn't speak English. I'm like, okay, so he was like learning it and he would like say stuff to us in a different language and I'm like 99% sure it was Arabic. He would say shit to us in a different language I just have no idea what he's saying. He knew enough English That during this like sleepover he went and he would like hang out and speak with us And he was way shorter than the rest of the class and I don't remember if he was younger or like what happened but like I'm so dead ass he was like a foot shorter than me and He he knew like 10 words and three of them were curse words He would go he'd go fuck her and he would like say that to you and I thought it was the funniest shit ever I remember being a third grade you go fuck her and you punch you This kid has no like we're not even we can't even have a conversation But it's like we're all hanging out and playing games, but you understood the games you apply Like we would draft him for fucking basketball or soccer dodgeball or whatever he knew the games It would be a 3-2-1 go he knew how to play Because it's like visual learning But and then he just disappeared the next year and I always think I'm like where where is that kid now? Where's Moushari now? What's he up to is he in the United States? Is he somewhere else? Where'd he go? You know? And he just disappeared. It was like he, I think he only stayed with us for one year and then he left. And it was sad. It was a sad day when Mushari left. I remember I missed him. He was a sleeper agent. Why? He was not a fucking sleeper agent. He was like a third grader. Mom, don't throw that up. He's in chat right now. Mushari's not in fucking chat right now. Moushari, where are you? Moushari, it's been however many years. I haven't seen you in so long. No way! What? Check the box! And when we go to BJ's, I'd only grab products with the- Oh, everybody's Moushari, oh shit, hey. This little square. You sure you like this cereal? It has five box tops on it. I'd come into school the next morning with 12 box tops, thinking I'd just save the entire education system. Here you go, miss. One dollar and twenty cents of cardboard. And due to math, on how many groceries it would cost to get a dollar's worth of those things. But screw it. Pizza party. Cause everybody was competitive about it. My friend Jamal will come in with like fifty box tops and suddenly the entire class is looking at him. Weak. Weak. Weak. I'm coming way more. Like, where did you even get those? Yeah, his family must have been eating nothing but Cheerios for three months. But turns out, Hobie was photocopying them with the school printer. Whatever. He got a s***. That's just not how that works. It's cardboard. How are you photocopying box tops? That's punishment though. But still, none of us kids actually knew what would happen after we handed in these box tops in. We were so focused on that pizza part. The teacher would throw them in some drawer, and then what? That somebody mailed them somewhere because I never got a check. Before we keep going, I need to eat something because I remembered that eat your first community order. All right, now that I've prevented myself from doing research on box tops, and I've been looking into how schools sign up, redeem, and earn money from the program. And the criteria on their website to be eligible for box tops is pretty straightforward. Basically, any legitimate K through A public, nonprofit, private, religious, and US military schools could participate. So if you're in elementary or middle school in America, chances are you'd qualify. But one thing I've noticed, preschools can't participate. That'll be all right, you know? And after doing some more research, the process to send them was fairly simple. A school would appoint a box tops coordinator, usually a teacher, parent, or PTO volunteer. Kids would bring the squares in, and the coordinator would collect and organize them, sorting out any expired ones. This is all sort of a fucking expire. These are even worse than before. Pizza parties came in, since they could keep track of how many box tops each class submitted and turn it into a competition. Then the coordinator would send them to General Mills. And how would they send them specifically? Well, I got my hands on the official 2015- Bro, it was always General Mills. I feel like they were on tissue boxes, weren't they? Did General Mills make fucking tissue boxes? I feel like it wasn't just on cereal. I remember them being on like, any box that you bought, almost. It's a 2016 BogSop's coordinator kit. Yeah, I went on a deep dive. And apparently, BogSop's- Yeah, Pop Tarts, Pizza Rolls. They have to be perfectly cut to qualify. They could have just been ripped off the packaging, as long as you saw the expiration date and the little acronym on the top. And I never noticed these little acronyms at the top right, which are used to identify which product the BogSop came from. And box tops also came in these bonus certificates. A slip of 50 is crazy. You would have to get all the box tops and bundle them into bunches of 50. Then you would fill out a submission form online that would generate a unique- Oh my god! For fucking five dollars! For fucking five dollars! Five dollars! All this fucking work. All this fucking work. You got a bunch of up to 50, then you get a unique barcode, and then you send that And then you send an invoice to General Mills and General Mills is gonna send you back a tax form because that just specifically counts as income But you're able to run it off because you're a school and so not profit business So you're able to fucking respond and you have to buy a stamp from the post office You can send it over it takes about a three-week process so you can get fucking to actually they send it to you in rolls of pennies They send the money in rolls of pennies back So you have to pay shipping costs barcode then you prepare all of this in a package The bunches of 50 at the bottom followed by the submission form and finally any bonus certificates And finally you ship that package to mr. Box tops himself. He was like a lot of work for a couple dollars if you ask me Hello, how are you doing good doing good? Are you are you in class right now? This is miss Martel. Oh you're in class right now fuck fuck fuck Fuck! Give 30 years, and my good friend, Coby Martels, is mom. And she was kind enough to hop on a call with me to talk more about box tops and the program in her school. Would the classrooms that you were in, would they participate in the program? Would they hand in box tops? In the elementary schools, the students would compete from classroom to classroom. PTO would give out a prize to whatever classroom brought in the most box tops to raise money for this school. Do you remember what the prizes were because what I've heard or what I experienced was it had to be like a pizza party or no homework for a week? Like Sundays and they had pizza parties. So who in your school was in charge of sending the box tops to General Mills? So the PPO really spent the time to organize it and sort all the box tops and all of that in each school had to fill out specific paperwork. Yes. When it comes to paperwork, I'm pretty sure she was talking about the online submission form from the coordinator kit. And what do you remember the box house money actually being used for? I want to believe that they used it for like events and assembly. They used it for like replacing. Yo, did your parents ever go to the student teacher conferences? Or not student teacher, parent teacher conferences? This is like, my mom never went to any of them. Never, never, never. Not once, not once. Parent-teacher conference. No. Wow. My mom always went. Is it weird to say that I would love to be like... I would love to be like the dad that pulls up to the parent-teacher conference. A little hammered. a little hammered, sitting in one of those like stupid ass kid chairs, because there's only one teacher chair and I'm just sitting there and I'm like, so how's my kid doing? So how's the kid doing? You're like about this low to the ground. Hold up. Oh, this doesn't go any lower. Awkward. This doesn't go as low as it goes. Okay. I thought it went lower. You're like on the ground, you're just like, yeah, so, Timmy's a bit of a jackass of sorts, some would say. I was looking at a few other case studies as well that they did use that, yeah, for playgrounds, for extra equipment, for the gym as well. If it didn't go to- My parents always went. My mom never went. I feel like there's no need to go unless your kid's failing. Like, why go? Like, if you're reading your kid's report card, it's like, okay, he's got like As of B's, whatever. The assemblies, it was like failing math. That's like a different thing. You're going to go talk to the teacher. Towards like field days. Bullying problems. Do you remember who specifically decided on where the money would be spent? The PTO did. There's always a teacher and an administrator. So box ops were real. Schools actually got the money, but there was still one thing I wanted to know. Can you find these anymore? Okay, so I now know how box tops work, but I am curious in point 26 if you can still find them I've heard you can and I'm very curious if it's the same way that I used to remember them And after searching around the cereal aisle for a bit, this is what I see guys to have more on a cereal But look what I see on a box top Download the app WOOOOOO! WOOOOOO! Another app! Another app for my phone! WOOOOOO! Oh, you wanna pay for parking? Download this app! Oh my god! Fuck! Why does everything have an app? Fucks. But you gotta download the app and scan it. Still a thing. You don't cut these off. That actually pisses me off. There you go, man. Netanyahu app, actually. Benjamin Netanyahu fucking taking hold of the trick cereal box and forcing me to download fucking Israeli spyware on my phone On my phone so I could fucking scan a 10 cent box top that I could send to my school And they get an invoice from General Mills We're gonna buy a few things of box tops and see how that app works We need your cereal data. Yeah back secure oh I just love the char grilled whopper for Burger King oh my favorite burger oh my favorite fast food place McDonald's and Burger King thank you for the wonderful question milk thank you for the wonderful question it's a way it's a wonderful to have to be on this podcast all right so I bought three my favorite my favorite burgers the char grilled whopper in different items with box tops on them don't blame me for this one so each one of these has a digital box tops on it and I like this one because it's a free snack with a rebate back in the day you just hit the scissors and you cut them out and then you go to school and you hand them in why why is it confusing now so skin box tops for education so they download this the thing is I guess they just assume every kid has a phone now I'm pretty sure they do just made the account and now it says either find a school or find a school in need I'm gonna find a school in need for this one let's see oh wow we're gonna be donating our 10 cents or you'd be donating our 10 cent box tops. How courageous. Did they have my old elementary school? Oh wow, they do have my old elementary school on here. Shout out, Sposiano. Okay, so welcome to the box top apps. Scan a paper receipt. This is already making me miss the old times where you could just- Oh, it's 30 cents because there's three of them. Cut them back in the day. Okay, so that's my receipt. Oh wow, we can choose- we can choose grades. This is technically better because then you're able to donate the money to a school. a school. Like if everybody did this there would be a sizeable amount of money. I'll go grade three that was my favorite. Okay, so man. And just- OHHHHHHHHH! BANG! BANG! 40 cents to Frank Di Spasiano Elementary School in Providence, Rhode. Like that we just claim 40 cents for Spasiano. I think back in the day the thing was it was a status thing. I would rather have them all in this bag. Yeah, no, that's I think that's the vibe. I think that's the vibe. It feels, it feels more like you're doing something physically. You just give it to your teacher rather than just do it on the phone in silence. But yeah, the school's gonna get 40 cents now. Now after all this research talking to a teacher and knowing that the schools would actually get a check from General Mills, the real question is Are box tops a scam? No. Because the basic promise of the program was real. Schools did and still do receive the 10 cent value. It sure 10 cents back then meant more with inflation and stuff, but that's a whole other conversation. Because according to box tops, schools have nearly earned $1 billion through the program since 1996. That sounds like a lot of cutting and snipping. However, I'm not going to let this go easily. Because General Mills, they've gotten a lot of value out of it. Welcome to Marketing 101 and today's topic, cause marketing. Cause marketing is when a company connects its products or brand to a social cause with the goal of benefiting both sides. Yeah, it's a benefit PR-wise and it also does help other people. So let's say your local donut shop partners with the youth football team. For every donut they sell, they donate $1 to the team. Locals hear about this and run to the donut shop for the kids. The more donuts they sell, the more... I don't think though, I think that's the case in this specific example where it's like, okay, every sale we give a dollar to the local football team, that like really helps local businesses. But I don't think anybody's buying Honey Nut Cheerios because the box top gives 10 cents to a fucking school. The money the football team gets, both sides win, that's cause marketing. And when there's a charitable incentive, you can get increased sales, higher brand awareness, customer loyalty, positive brand perception, and of course, real money going towards a cause. That's box tops. Cause think about it, mom is standing in the cereal aisle deciding between two boxes, and one of them gives 10 cents to your kid's school. Which one are you grabbing? I said, I said, it doesn't matter! It doesn't matter if I'm the fucky, it's 10 fucking cents! It's a dime! It's a dime! I'm not sitting there. I'm not sitting there going, huh? I would I rather have This one or this one? Well, this one gives 10 cents to my local school if I download the app and input it and I sign up with an account and then I give them my email and turn on the email notifications and then scan the school that I want to donate it to and then and use the box stop if I remember. And like it's not, I don't think that's ever in the history, I'm like in the history of box stops. I don't think there's been a parent that's held two boxes and gone. I'm gonna go with this one because it has a box stop. Plus, the amount of times that I would persuade my mom to get me the brand with box stops, just. No way. I feel like, maybe, maybe. I mean, I would be like, oh, we need to cut off the box stop. But I don't think I was like, oh, it has to have a box stop. Does the status boost to the school or get closer to a pizza party? Marketing geniuses. And there's evidence that this is an entire marketing strategy. Because in 2018, General Mills described box tops as a program operated by its marketing teams. They share that box tops promotions are a way to drive store visits and increase how much customers spend. So sure, the school got real money, but General Mills, I think they're of real winners with brand loyalty, purchase influence and exposure. So was box tops a bad thing? Honestly, I don't think it's that simple. As a kid, all I saw was 10 cents and a pizza party. Now I see the fundraiser, the more which is like the stupidest shit ever when you think about it. It's like the reward for the work. Like, do you all remember not not pizza parties for box tops? Do you all remember when your school would do some shit where you would have to go sell like chocolate or some, you would go sell a product and it's like the amount you sold, there would be like a pamphlet and you would win certain things. And it's like, if you sold enough, you would win like a Nerf gun or something. And it's like that you would win a $40 item if you sold $4,000 worth of chocolate. like what the you'd win a MacBook if you sold 10 grand in fuck and so you're going family member to family member and they're like pity purchasing this stupid shill off-brand product for the sole purpose of you being able to win something marketing strategy the brand loyalty all of it and honestly I'm not mad at it box tops that it's thing cuz schools got money general most got Loyalty and we got a strangely iconic piece of childhood out of it. So let me know in the comments Do you think box hops is a good thing a clever market? I don't think it was I don't think it was a bad thing I think it's just like bro You got to up that shit to like 25 cents today, bro 10 fucking cents in the big 26 like even if you got every person in your school doing that shit, which they're not It's like you're making a school in a year on box tops. It has to be making out what a hundred bucks A hundred bucks maybe At least make it a dollar then it's not profitable if everybody does it that would cut into general mills profits They don't want that. This was a fire vid though Or shot a so-toe Be in brainy for the sub it's thank you the three Nick and Russie to the sub gas station Jesus they give the 20 gifted subs Thank them if you got a something give it to 20 gift it's neck russ and it's for the sub Joshua Jimmy Fox not pot Slade 240 CZ a Q Danny VR for the sub move or Parker Lydian suit up the sub Koopa mod a carbon Skyler for the sub as well. This is Nigel Richards and he is competing in the 2015 French Scrabble Championship, but there's just- They didn't even know they had that, they didn't even know they had Scrabble Championships. One problem, Nigel doesn't speak French at all. So how in the world did he manage to win? With all formats at the French World Championships, he has won not just once, not just twice, but 14 individual titles against grandmasters who have spoken French their entire lives. He speaks French and he can do exceptional results. It's just incredible. Yet conquering the entire French-speaking world was... I feel like he has to know how words are formed in French. Or do you think he's just studying... like does he know the meaning of a word that he's spelling? If he doesn't speak French. Actically just a sidequest form. He has nearly 50 major titles in English alone, more than anyone else by a landslide. He's known for outsmarting Scrabble engines, and he is genuinely- $20,000! But he's raking it in from playing Scrabble. ...Gens, and he is genuinely the greatest Scrabble player of all time. It all started when his mother was constantly tired of losing to him in card games, so she introduced him to Scrabble, believing she'd have the upper hand. But instead of finally defeating her son, she had just created the literal best Scrabble- What words are they fucking spell on here? Tenders, okay. Plotzing. Fyberd. Relian. player to ever live. What's odd is that Nigel never touched a game of Scrabble until 28 years old, and what's even more odd is that he'd never been able to spell very well and wasn't great in English at school. By contrast, some of Richard's most lethal opponents like David Elder started competing in world championships at 16 years old, and Jesse Day started playing in his final year of high school. And still, by every account, Nigel is the greatest Scrabble player Who has ever lived across thousands of documents? I mean the aura of this guy that's this crazy, dude These fucking specs the haircut the long beard Posted up in a scrabble match just fucking owning the competition in an elite tournament games since 1996 He maintains an unprecedented win rate of roughly 75 percent Which 75 percent win rate? Oh? Oh, to have that in a competitive game. 75% win rate in the pros? In the pro scrabble league? Rags the question. What makes his style so suffocating that even the world's top grandmasters can only watch him take over? He would face John Treve, a top tier grandmaster, wildly regarded as one of the top players and who frequently ranks among the highest rated players in the world. He started- Yeah, I'm not even gonna lie, bro. I barely remember how to play fucking Scrabble. I know you spell words off of words and if you land in these certain, like, two-act spots, you get multiple points. But, like, how do you- do you just pick? Like, they have letters they're able to use that they get out of a bag. So there's chance involved in the game as well, now? Arts off with Docs, to which Nigel immediately responds for luxating and gets 70 points. He challenges the word his opponent just played, thinking it might be a mistake, though Nigel re- What do you mean might be a mistake, like the word doesn't exist? Like, I'm curious, do you think Nigel knows the definition of the words that he's playing? Or do you think he just knows that this luxating is a word? early ever makes mistakes so the game is swiftly resumed this was Nigel's first North American tournament in six years and he would do something that shocked everyone the match settles into a standard mid-game rhythm with Nigel bing-oing prods to form leisure and extending his lead to almost a hundred points while filling up his talarak something sparks the casters to 224 and And I just am praying to see the H. Yes, the T. The H. The T. Ahhhh! This is gonna be an exhilarating match, folks. As he slings it over, as he slings it over to Nigel, what is he gonna play? They want to see him play a fleasurer off the word he just played, getting the triple and forming a 10-letter word, which is a rare occurrence in endgame. John plays Zinco and Nigel responds with Oye. In this position, John could play Jade which would block Nigel from playing athleisure though he sees Jag for 19 points. Now in this situation, most people would immediately play athleisure. But of course, Nigel is not everybody. What he does instead is play Vector. Doing so will deplete the tileback and prevent John from having more opportunities to bingo and it's actually the better play. After a few moves from both players, John draws the last remaining tile, a V. It actually, this game is so much more strategic than it seems, because it's like, oh you're just spelling words off of words, but everything has to, like, line up perfectly. You could play words in certain spots. Like there's so many options. Like this would be the most confusing shit ever against somebody that's good at scrabble. The only spot available for it is- Like where do you even play a word? Like you could just pick up a word randomly, like you could play off this E, the T, the S, the A, the F. Vau, right here. What happens next could only be described as perfection. Nigel knows John can only play Vau, and he could block him multiple ways with how, row, or even toe, but he plays R, then going unfastened and O, a brilliant move, as this allows him to save his precious tiles for what he has planned, all while blocking John. With no other choice, John passes his turn to Nigel, who plays Ed for 3 points, opening up this tile, and lay up for his next move. Oh my gosh, amazing, absolutely amazing. I need more energy from this, I need more energy from the commentators, dude. I would be, I would have no idea what's going on, but I'd be fucking ripping it the entire time. Oh my god, Nigel just played Ed right there, John is fucked! He's gonna have nothing that he can play but he has a V on the board. What are we gonna do here pal? Oh my god I can see the sweat on his forehead driven down the side of his fucking temples right now into his Hawaiian shirt He's got swamp ass surely this guy's shaking in his fucking boots He realizes it's over four or four to four seventy eight Nigel has a lot of letters left to work with. With John passing his turn again Nigel can finally play the incredible athleisure for a massive sixty points This is just so insane. I cannot believe it. Laze it now. And John just moved his- Oh my god, John is fucking thumb-founded. He didn't even see that. Headboard in this, like, what in the world? He's crying. He just threw up in his own hands. His wife left him. Oh my god. Oh, you're kidding me? Yeah. Before ending the game with Yo, a beautiful, almost cinematic- I love how- how's the records. Nigel Richards, 23 and 4. Wait, to claim the trophy of the tournament, he calculated the exact tile pool multiple turns in advance, intentionally executed perfectly low moves, which forced a specific board layout that opened up the 10 letter front extension, pulling off a tournament-winning multi-turn bingo- Can I bet on- can I bet on this? So when board space is almost- There's certainly a betting prop for Nigel Richards. It's non-existent and the tile-bag is- Oh, the ROI is probably horrible though. He has a 75% win rate. Completely empty. He's probably like minus 900 going into a Scrabble World Champ. Requires a level of insane calculation and is why this match is widely considered to be the best Scrabble Endgame of all time. Calculating plays like this a handful of moves ahead is literally just a tip of the iceberg for Nigel. Since 1998, he has won 76% of more than 4,000 career games sanctioned by the World English Language Scrabble Players Association. The rest of the top five players, including Elder, have won between 66 and 68% of theirs. He outscores his opponents by 72 points per game on average. Elder, the number two all-time player, outscores his by 49. On top of that, Richards holds the world championship record with five titles won between 2007 and 2019. Nobody else has more than two. In an email to a journalist, David Elder says the following about Nigel. I don't know how to put this in layman's terms, but it essentially continues to confirm that he's the best player at any game that ever existed. His brain- Best player in any game that's ever existed? Why'd he pick Scrabble? Am I gonna, am I gonna sit here and say that he probably is, you know, I'm not gonna say he's not good at every board game he plays. But every game that's ever existed, I think he means every board game. extends leagues beyond the capability of a chess nerd who studied their whole life. He's not human, no amount of practice or innate talent will ever render anyone normal to rival him. And Jesse Day after Luke- He's saying Nigel Richards is better than like Magnus Carlson. Is in the 2018 final to Richards, describe him as the greatest there has ever been and ever will be. In an early round match against- Are they playing in a mall? Yeah, good one. Good one. 53 points. Where does dog small get his shoes? Wait now Where does Darth Vader get his shoes? In the game, comfortable but not entirely safe with seven tiles remaining in the bag. In this position, the top computer engine's clear preference was Ali for 16 points. Glitchers looked at it. He appeared for a few minutes like he was about to play it. But then he did something bizarre. Nigel exchanges? Leaving? And hey. Oh, Matt, what the heck would it be? Oh my God, dude, Matt, I think I'm peeing down my own fucking leg right now. I've never seen somebody do that ever. He just exchanged his fucking blocks. We say that that is a mistake, except that it's Nigel, and I have to imagine that he has some rationale for it. He exchanged... Oh my God, wait. He exchanges his blocks to fuck up his exchange. Tiles, and it wasn't just the commentators who were shocked. When the position was ran through the engine afterward, it couldn't justify the play either. It took the original commentator and three additional Scrabble experts to eventually reconstruct the logic behind Nigel's mysterious play. By calculating that Johnson was sitting on an eminent bingo, Nigel intentionally threw specific tiles into the bag to sabotage Johnson's post-bingo-wreck with clunky duplicates while maximizing his own odds of drawing the game-winning C-tile. Nigel- Wow! But how do you even think ahead like that in this fucking game? This move was actually a masterclass in hyper-advanced endgame manipulation. Francis Desjardins, a French scrabble expert and a programmer Gilles Blanchette, analyzed the end games of 588 tournament games played by Nigel Richards. The end game is the part of the game after the last tile leaves the bag, and at that point, scrabble flips from a game of hidden information into a game of perfect information, since both players can work out exactly which tiles their opponent is holding. With dozens of possible move sequences and the order mattering for both sides, solving it perfectly is usually far too complex for a human to do under tournament pressure. So it's no surprise their analysis found that Nigel's opponents, and this is only counting players who have at some point been ranked in the world or North American Top 10, made a mistake in 47% of their endgame moves. In other words, even the best players in the world get less than half of their endgame's right. Nigel, on the other hand, made just 11 errors across 919 endgame moves. A measly 1.2%- Oh my god he's chatty VT. In the fucking flesh. In the flesh Nigel Richards is an AI in Scrabble. He is a 1.2% error rate, and the top 10 opponents of pros have like a 1 and 2 fuck up. An error rate costing him a total of just 31 points. His top 10 opponents across- Check his anus for a vibe there. Good comment. Good chat. half as many moves lost a combined 1,818 points and it gets even stranger when the same 919 moves were run through quackle a Scrabble Zone AI it made four times as many mistakes as Nigel and lost seven times as many points it's It's hard to think of anyone in any sport. He's better than AI at the game. That's not even a thing in chess. How are you better than AI in Scrabble? Oh my god, you can't even fucking say he's cheating. That's like, actually, oh my god, you can't even say he's cheating because it would hinder him to use a cheating engine. The game was this far ahead of the field, including the machines built to solve it. Nigel plays moves so advanced that top computer engines initially rate them as errors or suboptimal, only for human analysis to later reveal Nigel was right all along and the engine was wrong. The fact that how is that AI not seeing that because they can't like factor in like variable chance or like what other moves are Capable of being played we know Nigel isn't cheating because he literally outperforms all existing scrabble AI is so funny Yeah, he's so good that cheating would actually be a handicap and I think he's still better than The best computer like by a mile like I don't know there's so many plays that he's made over his career That I hope we get to talk about over the coming weeks and months, but like a lot of times the computer just doesn't understand what he's doing and so you run it for a couple days and then it's like oh yeah he was right. Yeah. Magnus Carlson has arguably the greatest chess player in history, having helped the world championship title for a decade. Yet even Magnus- Is it weird to say though that like, I feel like part of the, I know he's better than AI, but I'm curious if the Scrabble World Championships had as many players wanting to get into it as chess, if Nigel would be that good. Like is there an argument to be made that like Magnus Carlson, even if he's losing to chess AI, it's still more impressive because he's the top of a board game that has far more players. This must bow to the undisputed ruler of his domain, Stockfish, a chess engine capable of evaluating 70 million positions per second and systematically dismantling any human who dares to play it. A hundred out of a hundred games, Magnus Carlson would lose even if Stockfish was down a bishop or a knight. The boundary between human brilliance and machine is absolute and chess, but in Scrabble, that line doesn't exist, because Nigel Richards is the engine, and he's arguably better. Furthermore, Nigel is known for playing incredibly random, unique words that haven't been heard of. Some of the most iconic are Keerjerker, Saprazoic, Chlorodyne, and Z- Saprazoic living or feeding on dead and decaying organic matter specifically by absorbing dissolved organic compounds and nutrients through the body surface. Batitos, words that likely had never been played in competitive Scrabble before, and probably never will be again. One of the most legendary cases happened in ETSS-A, Indian Open, in January 2024. In round 3 he played Rajiv Antao, a prominent Indian scrabble-leader and experienced international competitor. The match quickly turned into an ordinary mid-game, until Nigel uses up all seven of his tiles to play inflexes over two triple-ward scores, giving him 221 points and essentially guaranteeing his win already. A few moves later Rajiv can do little more than watch. Saddled with a weak hand, he's forced to settle for a modest 28-point play, while Nitro pulls another powerhouse rack and drops eruption for a massive 72 points, another bingo. Rajiv plays sign and immediately takes the triple word score for 21 points. However, Nitro's tile rack is looking extremely promising once again. He has an A, a C, an E, an N, an O, an R, and a T. And in this position, he has a handful of options. Now, personally, as a scrabble noob, I see accent at the top. Anything- I'm not seeing shit. I'm staring. I feel like I'm looking at another language if I'm being totally honest here. Like, if you handed me these letters, I would have no idea what to do. I would have no clue. I'd be sitting here like, uh, okay. I really I just start looking at like random letters that I could like slide down Try and spell something for tie with gradants Whereas a way better player could see co-parent for 82 points, but a professional would see all those options And sarcanette for 89 points. But of course Nigel isn't your average pro What he plays next is arguably the greatest move in scrabble history Nigel Richards plays the phenomenal Pernock Tated and 11 letter ward for 92 points. He uses all of his letters which is his fifth straight bingo in a row connects the top and the bottom Pernock Tated. In a row bringing his score to 680 points. An unbelievable score! An unbelievable word to spell in this final series of the pro-strabble world match. An 11-letter word against Rajiv and Tao. Nigel Richards wins it by over 400 points. Agreeing because players hold only 7 piles on a rack, meaning Nigel had to sandwich his 7 letters between a pea. The Philadelphia streets are being set on fire as we speak. They've already greased the telephone poles, people are trying to climb them. Nigel Richards! And a T.E.D. that were already on a crowded board. Pernotated is surprising because it is so obscure that almost no human holds it in their active memory. Because why would you? Grandmasters rarely memorize longer words past eight or nine letters because the odds of board space lining up for them are miniscule. So it's simply much more efficient to memorize the other hundreds of thousands of smaller words, which, by the way, already takes decades. Rather than taking easier, high-scoring 7 or 8-letter bingles available on his rack, Nigel's superhuman board vision spotted an opening to pull off a move that is virtually impossible for a human brain to calculate. The match ends after a couple of moves from each player, and Nigel ends the match with 748 points, shattering his previous record. Games like these are one of the many reasons why Nigel is widely believed to have memorized the entire international English scramble lexicon, which is more than 280,000 words. I feel like that's not... there's no way that's possible to memorize. 280,000 words. World number one is not even the most shocking part of his story Maybe he simply got bored of winning in English because he went on to memorize the entire French Scrabble dictionary in Dude, okay. Yeah, no, he's better than Magnus I Understand that I'm gonna go against what I just said and I know there's more people playing chess But imagine being so good at Scrabble that you've won so many championships that you just go So I'm going to go win in another language, I'm going to go play in French because this is too easy. Just nine weeks to win their world championship without speaking the language and he didn't just scrape by it either because he went on to win the French classic title again, stacked up multiple French Blitz and duplicate world titles and even won the French World Pairs Championship. you, he is playing against literal grandmasters who have spoken French their entire lives and he's still dominating in a language- Yeah, he like can't even speak to them if they don't speak any English, cause he doesn't speak French. He can't even speak. He's an alien. He really needed an interpreter to thank the audience. So how do you feel about losing to a guy that doesn't even speak your language? During his victory speeches, then, as if to prove it wasn't a fluke, Nigel apparently decided that he was still bored and did it all over again in Spanish. Oh my god. He spent about a year digesting the Spanish lexicon, entered the 2024 Spanish World Scramble Championship and casually stormed the field, winning 23 out of 24 games to take home the world title. The guy who lost in second place said this is a humiliation and of course Nigel won it again the next year. For reference, the French Scrabble dictionary contains over 386,000 words while the official Spanish lexicon packs roughly 600,000 playable forms and he has not only memorized both of them but also the entire- How are you memorizing 600,000? How are you- He's memorized a million words. How do you memorize a million words? That's like not, that's not possible. Hire English Scrabble Dictionary as well. Okay, Autism. I even feel like even with Autism. Competing in a language you don't actually speak should be a guaranteed recipe for instant failure. Unless, of course, your name is Nigel Richards, which leaves everyone asking the exact same question. How is a human brain even capable of doing this? I'm not sure there is a secret, um, just a matter of language. I studied English mostly, but I was basically an hour a day studying English. Fans, journalists, and fellow... Is he from New Zealand? Or like Australia? Players widely believe he has an idetic memory... That's not how I thought he would sound. Murray, though he reportedly contests that characterization himself, an idetic memory is a rare ability to vividly recall an image with high detail for a short time, but it's not that hard when you think about it. What? I don't know why that shocked me. I was just expecting it to be like, yeah, it's not really that big of a deal. After seeing it only once, it's also said that Nigel doesn't see words as language or meaning. Rather to him, words are pure spatial patterns, mathematical probabilities, and geometric talent arrangements. He rarely gives media interviews, displays near zero facial expressions whether he wins or loses, and keeps his life private. We tend to categorize Nigel Richards alongside guys... He's the New Zealand goat that I've never heard of in my life, even though I've been in New Zealand all my life. Dude, this guy's insane. This is like... this guy's the face of New Zealand. Like Tiger Woods, LeBron James, or Magnus Carlson, the undisputed goats who simply play our human games better than everyone else. Yeah, but I feel like he has a higher win rate than like any pro ever. That framing completely misses what Nigel actually is. Every other grandmaster plays language. They study prefixes, memorize definitions, and build human habits. When they look at a rag, they see English, French, or Spanish. Nigel doesn't. To him, a dictionary isn't a collection of human thoughts or even words. It's a 300,000 piece mathematical matrix. He doesn't drop a word like Pernoktated or Saprazoic because he has deep vocabulary. He plays them because his mind operates on a different level entirely, and that is the terrifying reality for anyone sitting across from him. While the rest of the world plays a game of spelling, strategy, and language, Nigel is executing a multi-turn strategy that was mapped out three moves ahead of your best response. He doesn't play Scrabble for fame, money, or vanity, as long as 225 squares and a bag of letter titles exist, there will never, ever be another like him. Wow, that was such a good fucking video. 11 million views in 10 days. Imagine you're a German Scrabble championship and you're waiting for the day for the bad news to come. I can't tell you how hard that game is comparable to chess. I know chess more than that in the game, and I played more Scrabble than chess. I mean, I don't know. I've only played probably like three games of Scrabble ever. Lock-in. Now, it's gonna come down to the most painful part of the day. Oh, no. Should I scan this? God, we haven't watched the Giaoma massage video in a while. This is gonna be lit. Cows. Cows? Yes. There we go. If you watch a ton of Chinese martial arts movies like me, at some point you will have come across the concept of pressure points, the idea that there's a point in your body that if hit in the right way can produce paralysis, or instant death. Turns out that this is actually based on a real concept in Chinese medicine, and massaging these points in the right way is actually said to be therapeutic, albeit extremely painful. So I came out to one of the best Chinese spots in New York City to experience it myself. Oh my god, I can't fucking wait for this. This is gonna be like the Indian head massage, but even better. Oh, when he's sitting in that chair and the dude has his finger in his ear with a, like a vibrator gun on his hand and he's just moaning. This guy, this guy hits a pressure point. He just, he just makes a really loud and seen noise. He's like, I think I just came into my pants. You're low, you're high, you're low, you're high. Hey, that's what makes you live. I sit here, sit here, make it happy. So this is Dr. Wong, your partner here. I'm a partner here, and I'm also a counter-director. Orgasm, yeah, in the Jal-Ma head massage video, he's sitting there moaning, and he's like, it feels like an orgasm. Sit here. And the Indian guy has like an air pod in, and he's just finger in the ear with a massage gun. He's like... Yeah, I heard you wanted this brutal Chinese torture. Yeah, a little bit of torture. Yeah, a little bit of torture. This is our first high-end, very high-end Chinese style. Yeah. We combined with Chinese meridian therapy as well. In Chinese medicine theory, they say there are 14 meridians in your body, which is the energy flow. That's one of those where like your pinky toe is connected to your spleen from out. Yeah, well, I'm excited. All right, we got my little massage robe. Excited? So, this is just a test image that you see how you cover your face, okay? Okay. Everybody's vaccinated here, right? Yeah, we're all vaccinated. Okay, so I can... Right here. Do you feel this? I was probably during COVID. Oh, yeah. Sub-example area, okay? Yeah, that's kind of... Oh, what the hell was that? Oh. Oh. And it's like going down, okay? Okay. That's gonna hurt more now. Okay. So that's gonna hurt a lot. Oh. Oh. Oh. Now this is the part that hurts the most. Oh my God, I can't wait for the weird noises that Jama is about to make. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, shit. It hurts really a lot, right? It hurts a lot. This one's gonna hurt too. Wow, oh f**k, what the f**k? How does that come here? You know, like easy like kill Bill and stuff where they do like a five point strike and like, like, they know exactly the right spots and they... The Rick and Morty death punch? Yeah, this is real. This is real. Very good, you watched those movies? 叫什么来的 点麦吗 血 点血 血道 但是血道 但是这种血道对 呃刚才做的那些东西呢不一定是血道对 但是那些是有些是一个这个 这个英语的侵略 给的会一个stagnate 就是气急的地方 所以这地方我们要把它拉开 压 拉开心理里面的气 对 然后气呢 然后 哦 喵嘛 哈 卻是喵嘛 nudes here 喵嘛 speaks like every language ever So what's the end result of these techniques and results? Yeah, what? Right, right, right. You're going to feel wonderful. You're going to feel all open up, all energetic, feel great, and have a very good sleep tonight. Okay, sounds great. First you relax your hand, touch your spine a little bit, okay? Or did you go right? Yeah. Alright, so here we go. Just touch your hand a little bit to the middle. He goes, ah, ah, ah, I think I'm paralyzed. Just come up this way. Alright, okay, I find it. Okay, now you're good. Put back there. Start from here. Like those old chiropractor, you ever see those chiropraxie videos? Where they have like an old woman with scoliosis and they crack her back and she goes, ahhhhhhhhh and I'm like, I think you just actually paralyzed that woman. I don't think she's able to move anymore. I believe this is a spot. If you practice well, your spirit will go out from here. Now we're going to come down to the sub-axibra area and do your sculpt. If Jama threw up doing this, that would be the funniest thing ever. Alright, this pressure point is going to be really painful. You okay, right? I'm good. You're going to be friends, right? I'm a little nervous, but yeah. Alright, here we go. Genji. Here we go. oh my god oh I'm getting you a tree. It's starting. It's starting. Oh my god we're only four minutes in. Good point. Oh that's my trigger point. This is where the energy gets stagnated. Oh, oh, it's so much energy stagnated there. So imagine being the cameraman. I know, I know, it's like, all right, you're the dude that's doing the pressure points. It's like this is like a fucking, you know, you're used to this. Probably somewhat casual reaction. But you're the guy camera overhead and you almost just moaning. He's right here as well. It's like an elephant is sitting on a pin on my back. This is very painful, isn't it? It's very painful. After they breathe, he's not even breathing right now. Are you okay? I can see a lot of stagnation Oh Oh my god these videos are so fucking funny. Oh my god these videos are so fucking funny Oh Oh My god, that's not even the most replayed Holy shit It's like a normal reaction that people have to this, like, I wanted to interview this guy I'd be like, so how jam I handle that? Like was that, was that like normal? Oh, fuck. The feet are curling up. Oh man. You know what this feels like? It's like when you accidentally hit your elbow on like, on like a, on the table and it's just like pshh. Your whole arm is like electric. Yeah. It's like that, but like sustained. Whoa. Oh my god, okay. Oh my god, can we pause for a second and re-watch the Indian head massage real quick. Not the whole thing, but I just want to go to that one point. This was one of the most intensely pleasurable experiences of my life. It tickles to the point of enormous, almost orgasmic pleasure. Oh my god, like him having to overlay that? Oh my god dude, this is the funniest shit ever. Oh my god I'm gonna spit all over myself. Holy fuck. What is your finding in a hurt the same time? Gah! You're out! Oh it's like intensely painful and intensely pleasurable at the same time. I don't know guys. It's pretty intense. Oh it's a good one. That's how I knew that. Thank you, thank you though. I appreciate that, yeah. Okay. We're going to continue and it means now we found he has a very best path for us. We're going to make a little bit of adjustments here. Take a deep breath in, all right. Breathe out for me. All right, buddy. I'm going to give you a little tiny push, okay? Okay, buddy? Good. Oh! Oh! You okay? Okay. Okay. I'm going to leave you alone. I'm going to leave you alone. You want to show him a sign? Okay. Okay, sure. Joe would love this. Oh my god that right there somebody cracking my back hell. Yeah, you push, okay? Okay, after you finish the the pressure point adjustment. He's like all right one crack one crack Gemma are you okay? But it just feels like so much relief there, you know I mean, we gotta play music or something, man. This is just viewer silence. I try, but when I'm doing your lower the legs, right? Look, I'm trying to kick, but my face is gonna be right here. Okay, yeah. I'll try. I'll try. Okay. Here we go. This part's called phone shoot. Oh I'm even pressing hard You know what they call this kind of massage actually now to tell you the truth. What do they call this is called the ancient chinese torture Already you know what chin dynasty is right at the previous time Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure. You think he's making those noises on purpose?
