Fantasy is Chrono Trigger.

chrono trigger that I had any sort of like disagreement where it's like oh this part of
the game isn't great and actually no like it was there was one spot at the very end and that was
it the game is just insanely high quality the entire way through I was like whoa this is nuts
even ff7 has points where it meanders a bit too long but that the first part of that for me happens
happens when you get to Walmart in the original game.

But what was the intention behind having so much at the start?
Was there just a lot you guys were holding back?

This time, I wanted to show you something very typical, but I didn't think it would be so attractive.

This time, we will be talking about the relatively final fantasy 7.
World's in trouble.
So what are we writing?

So I think the common perception about games like this is that it's much more of a story
or character based one, but having and playing Rebirth and also going through Revelation as
well, I think everyone can see that there's just so much that can be the game experience
is such a core part of the game as well.
And so that's what we really wanted to feature and showcase.
Yeah, and obviously a couple of the biggest elements,
focusing on weapons and exploration,
seem to be a really big deal.
How are you feeling on the exploration side of things?
Because it's one side that was extremely fun in Rebirth,
and Rebirth went kind of out of its way
to make sure we see everything.
Is that gonna be changing a little bit
in Final Fantasy VII Revelation?
What about exploration?
There are many researches on reverse.
Do you think it will change in reverberation?
Yes, even in reverberation,
the direction of exploration of the world map
does not change fundamentally.
Likewise, with rebirth and revelation 2,
as well the exploration is going to be much better.
And that's how it will change.
Yes, this time, we are going to have a new area such as the U-Tie, the Rocket Muradai, and so on.
The existing area will be the same as before.

This time, we were able to do a parachute, and the chocobo was able to fly freely in the sky.
It's not just about the spread of information, it's about the search for the higher-ups,
and the fact that this work can be done.
And it's also about the difference between the reversal and the reverberation,
and the fact that the scale is wide, and the open world is able to play the game.
And this time, and the second one being the expansiveness of the exploration,
that's even more so than rebirth, right?
So, rebirth really focused on that open world experience,
but this time we see also in the end of the game,
being able to parachute down.
Also by growing the Chocobos,
you can fly around quite freely.
So you get not only horizontal exploration,
but also kind of a vertical exploration of the world also.
And so that way we really scale down.
Wow.
Seems like this is gonna be pretty big.
And you guys are already kind of masters
at scaling down the size of the game
with the Switch 2 version.
The size of the game went down,
significantly from the PlayStation 5. This probably going to be pretty large. Do you
guys have any general idea how massive it might be? Because I sort of have a bet running
right now that it might be like a three disc game or something like this and one of the
old one.
I think we've done a scale-down in Switch2.
Do you have any plans to make a 3-disc with your friends?
A 3-disc?
Yes, we've made a 3-disc with the original 7.
We are also looking forward to how we can deliver it in the size of the area.
Well, the OG7 has three discs.
But right now, within development, we are trying to see, kind of making that even last minute discussions on the sizing of that.
So that's hope to the people to stay.

And we did see a lot of focus on weapons as folks are seeing in the trailer right now as well.
The weapon fights seem to have a lot of unique interactions outside of the cinematic stuff.
It was always a joke, are we just gonna hit them in the shins in the feet the whole time?
And it seems like you guys have some pretty big plans for these big fights.
Is that something that you're sort of anxious to show off in the future?
Or is there anything you can talk about how do we fight things that are the size of buildings?
I was wondering how to fight the Japanese army,
and how to fight the Japanese army.
How do you fight the Japanese army?
I think it's better not to tell you everything.
I'll keep the details in mind.
So we do want to keep more of the fun details a little closer to us for now, but there is something that we work on with development.
For example, the Wayponsen is not an original mini-game, but an original fighting style, so I think it's a way to make Wayponsen a reality.
Well, I think you can make it a reality because you can close it and design the game.
I wanted to make sure that the ability of the character I have grown in the same combat system was developed by UePonsen,
so that UePonsen can be generated on the same combat system.
But for example, with the new gimmick or gadget,
you can change the strategy by adding special elements,
But as a game, we aimed to become a base combat system.
them unleash all their strengths, you know, with the weapons fight. And so we wanted to keep some,
you know, sort of the foundation of the same combat system, but then have these unique,
like, mechanics or just included in the weapons battle. Gotcha. Talking about battles and probably
one of the personal biggest reveals in here that just rendered me a thunder when I saw it. I couldn't
believe what I was looking at. You guys seemingly have a job system for the first time in Final
Final Fantasy VII, there's been like a spiritual job system,
Tifa's a monk, Cloud's like a general fighter,
but now there seems to be like costumes and classes
with almost unique abilities.
Can you elaborate on that?
Just based on what we saw?
So this time something new that's going to be introduced is what we call the FITS system.
So each character has four fits available to them?
and we want to create something that can customize our own cloud.
example and just really have the ability to like freely customize your own character.
Really appreciate the fact that there is visual costumes, like new costumes on the characters.
It's like, what are we looking at here?
So that's really exciting.
Talking about the combat of the game, it had a recap in the five minute introduction that
combat is featuring a lot of similar things that we saw from the previous game.
One of the most impressive things to me personally was that Endo-san just opened up the combat
so much from part one to part two, became a very grounded game, almost an aerial game
in any way.
Is it about preserving the foundation that existed in Reaper as much as possible or
really breaking new grounds with what combat, characters can do with combat?
and the development of the air-to-air combat system.
But this time, it's a new system,
a new form of development.
This is my end, and the vision is the same.
It's the same from 1 to 2,
but even in 2 to 3,
the new battle system will be replaced.
are probably something that fans can't seek out from us.
So, basically, we're looking at how to include the same battle system
as a new strategy.
So, I think Endo and I were aligned in this point,
and that we didn't want to stray completely far from what we've built up so far,
because this is what the fans have also been enjoying, and it's cleaned as well.
And so, you know, we wanted to kind of keep that, you know, foundation but also build upon it.
It's a new system of command and action, and it's been developed to expand the selection.
So, I think that's why we're using the new system as the final work.
So, of course, we have these new playable characters, Sid and Vincent.
And with them and the FIT system that's being introduced, we really feel this extends like the battle experience for players.
And also with the skill tree, this really widens like the sort of commands and the actions that players will be able to, you know, engage in.
And so I think this is a huge part that's going to be in the game.
Skill tree sub-changed a little bit from part one to part two, from remake to rebirth.
Are we expecting a skill tree that maybe is a bit closer to what was in rebirth, like with the folio system, for example?
What about the skill tree?
Is there a system that can be used to reverse?
Yes, it's a format that everyone is used to in other games.
But this time, the skill tree has changed according to the wherefix.
I think that the use of the wherefix can be used in various ways.
Yes, so we just take that sort of jump format of the skill tree that players are familiar with,
but we are adapting it to this fit system so that players can choose which fits they want.
Similar but different within a new context. Very cool.

Playing these games on a foundational level as someone that loves combat and fighting games especially,
I really just could not believe how Final Fantasy VII Rebirth expanded upon those elements.
And there's just so many things that you don't even see people do that is so capable.
So it's wonderful to see that that's just going to continue into Part 3.
I honestly can't wait to play these characters.

alluded towards it, was Chocobo greeting.
And clearly one of the big, most notorious things in the original Final Fantasy 7.
Can you mention anything about it now, or is it just a part of those extraworldly exploration
elements that we might have to wait to see about later?
Chocobo bleeding is a disease.
This work is like a original Chocobo,
it is not like making Chocobo or a new Chocobo.
On the contrary, it is growing the love of the Pico
and it is able to fly freely.
So this chocobo breeding is going to be a little different from the original where you breed chocobos and have them more chocobos.
This time around we're focusing on Pico, the chocobo, and we're helping Pico grow and with that you can explore new areas with Pico.
So that's why we saw what was Pico in the trailer, utilizing like a blue choke of all abilities. Very cool.
And so by helping Pico grow, you can reach new areas of the world, and then you'll also have, like, new Chocobos.
So, I think it's important to have a lot of people who are interested in Chocobos, and I think it's important to have a lot of people who are interested in Chocobos.
And so by helping Pico grow, you can reach new areas of the world, and then you'll also have new Chocobos in the breeding area that are appearing as you unlock this new area.

One of the things that I really enjoyed in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a really tiny moment of the game.
You can go back to the grasslands after going to Junon during sunset.
And I always loved the way the grasslands looked, and it was a little like,
I wonder if I can get this time of day back later in the game, and it pretty much stayed at the same time of day.
So I think my general question is, I love Final Fantasy 7 at night.
I love Final Fantasy VII Remake at night, especially.
And I'm curious if there's any plans for a day-night cycle
of some kind, or just seeing different times of day
for a variety of different areas.

based on the game's release.
So actually, not just Street Fighter, but we've had many different game

Final Fantasy characters to show up in fighting games, much less even other things than the
the excitement of it. Yeah, I'm just extremely appreciative that we're here talking about
Street Fighter and Final Fantasy VII in the same sentence. And if any of that stuff happens
later on in any way, you know, I think you got a lot of supporters out there, is all

for upwards of six to, like, almost six plus years. And for you, I think you've been on
the project since about 2016 or 2017. How does it feel to be near the end of the road?
For you personally, because your involvement goes back quite a bit, as well as being directly
in the last two games, does it feel like this is sort of like your kid and you're like letting
them go, or is it a thing where you've just been waiting to show off the stuff for so long?
It's hard to say. I think a part of me feels relieved, in a sense, that we're kind of seeing the end or the light at the end.
You can experience the same thing.
So, I was able to create my own passion and passion for the game.
Today, the third game was released.
I can see almost all of the related games.
I was able to create my own game,
It's a game that you can get used to in your own way.
So I think it's good to do it.
And it's also a bit lonely to end it.
Right. So, and another thing is that I think it's also rare for a game, you know, creator to get to be involved on like one title for 10 years.
and so to be able to kind of like dedicate myself and be passionate about this one game for that long
you know is pretty amazing thing as well and so I personally you know feel this like a big sense
of like satisfaction at what you know I would be able to create of course me knowing how it all
you know up to the end as well and what happens and I'm learning that I think we were able to create
something you know very satisfying and so I feel you know happy that we were able to do that and
and at the same time a little sad, but it's all right.
The one of the last things I wanted to mention,
which was based on the English version of the trailer,
there was one character specifically
that sounded a little bit different,
and we couldn't discern if it was a voiceover or not.
Sephiroth seemed to be maybe a different voice actor
in the English version of the official trailer.
Do we have any confirmation on that?
if it is a different voice actor, or is it something you guys can't discuss right now?
I was almost wondering, like, is it him?
So yes, the former voice actor that was doing voice first for us was unable to bring with
this voice for this one, so we do have a unique voice actor.
And I think, you know, I just kind of want to wrap things up a bit.

But I do have to say that we are here at the end of this thing.
There has been so many people that have been contemplating what is happening with the story,
what is happening with these characters as we move forward into the final part.
We've been sort of drip-fed many of your interviews over the past, like, I'd say two years.
and we've been just sort of like inkling at any idea of where this stuff is going.
So, I'm kind of curious if you guys sort of
heads down focused on the narrative that already existed,
or was there a lot of paying attention to hear what all fans are saying
about where the story is going, what the narrative is doing,
or is it sort of the thing like, laser focused, this is our goal, this is our story, we're going to tell it.
I think the story is pretty much decided, and it's a mission to make it.
And I think the fans' voices are also quite strong.
In general, the conclusion of this revelation was decided at a fast stage.
As far as the conclusion, the actual conclusion of Revelation, we did have an idea of it in mind.

The users are really excited to see how the game works, or how the remake series will change.
We don't have a revelation, but we're really excited to hear how you guys will respond.
So of course I think the players are so eager to know, you know, will it be as it is in the original or will there be something new?
Right, so this revelation is also, you know, coming up for the players as well.
And I think they might find it quite satisfactory.
The title is definitely very interesting.
So yeah, all I have to say from me personally,
and I've only gotten a chance to talk with you guys so much
as time has gone on for these past three games.
But the fact that we are where we are,
I'm deeply appreciated that Final Fantasy 7 as a series
got this much attention and has received so much love,
