Max Huckum, only the last two bosses count towards the race when Void's fire still has
significant polls even for top guilds. It all does count. There is in this
racer world first there were three races and we won the first two and we're
about to get the third after this hopefully and even if we lose that one
at least it's still best two out of three. Dude it's crazy I just remember
like it almost felt like a week ago that we had only won three raids in a
row and it's like you blink and now it's five. Life goes by so fast, man. No, but really
though, really though, it's the reason why the last two bosses are what everyone's
looking at is because to win the race it's very simple. You just have to get nine out
of nine Mythic. You have to kill every Mythic boss. That's how you win it. The race, that's
how you have won every race. You have to kill every single boss on the hardest difficulty.
And those are the last two left. So obviously the focus is on those last two.
It was the same thing in Manaforge when people suggested skipping Daemon Hunters.
So skipping Daemon Hunters was going to be a thing, Soul Hunters, but then Blizzard
added it to the Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame achievement originally did not include Soul Hunters making it a truly
optional boss.
There's two different kinds of optional bosses, like there's an optional boss that you can walk by and you never have to kill.
And then there's an optional boss you have to walk by and then never have to kill, meaning you can literally get the Hall of Fame achievement without killing it.
Like the Hall of Fame achievement for a raid isn't killing the end bosses, it's killing every single boss on Mythic that's included in the achievement, which is all of them.
The reason people were talking about skipping Soul Hunters was you would have literally been able to get Hall of Fame without it, therefore it actually wasn't like a real race boss.
But important, they changed that. They added it to the achievement before the tier came out, so it was just a regular boss.

literally constant progression.

When you're asking for UNET, you just see the pull count, but you don't know why UNET had a 700 pull count.
It's because the boss is overtuned as fuck and needed to be changed.
The bosses that you pulled 700 times never got killed.
You killed a significantly nerfed version of that in way less pulls than 700.
You want a sire? You want sire to an atheris? You want an end boss that dies in 130 attempts?
A lot of y'all don't remember that.
Sirenathrius died in 30 more attempts than Gallywix.
Max, do you think there is a 700 puller that isn't unkillably overtuned and that does progress
evenly and does not need to be changed? No. Guilds are too good.
Like I think about as hard as you can make a boss without it being
needing to be nerfed. I think in recent memory
they have made two bosses like that, Ansarac and Demensius. Both bosses that
the community was sure had to be nerfed at some point from
watching it. It was just on the edge of needing to
to be nerfed, but was barely possible.
That's about as hard as you can make a boss without making it bullshit.
And those took around 400 attempts.
I think that's about the cap.
If you're talking 500, 600, 700, the only way in my mind that would ever happen is
if something was wrong with the fight.
Like just to at least it would be 10 minutes or less, which is what they do now, which
is ideal.
So Dementius was bugged in P1, just not unplayable.

amongst all the players.
What could happen was we were having people get hit by three bolts within .3 seconds and
And we just assumed at the time that it meant that there was three adds up and they all
chose one person and it was just unlucky.
But what actually happened was, just as a really random chance, like a 1% chance, those
adds would actually shoot four missiles at the same time, and they would global someone
from zero.
So what we had assumed was, okay, one person died with their death log all getting
hit at the exact same moment and they got one shot.
I guess that's just unlucky, but we didn't look and there was actually like of the
four adds within that point one seconds there was like eight hits which meant
that four of them shot once and one of them shot like five times it was fixed
later on but yeah so there actually was a significant amount of p1 desolate in
the phase that were actually due to bugs but actually even the guilds at the
time didn't know it
What put Holandrus above Demensius in Answer Egg for me was as an idiot viewer that Holandrus was more continuous torture instead of sort of kind of resetting between phases.
