So it kind of served as a starting point."}, {"start": 1053.0, "end": 1057.54, "text": " There was a small soft reset on top of the starting point, but it was a bit of a reveal"}, {"start": 1057.54, "end": 1062.6, "text": " on this is how the game has had you actually over the last three and a half years."}, {"start": 1062.6, "end": 1065.4199999999998, "text": " And then the placement matches " So basically, the champions and some diamonds"}, {"start": 1100.46, "end": 1102.34, "text": " got a hard reset into Emerald."}, {"start": 1102.34, "end": 1106.86, "text": " And just to be clear, when that hidden MMR existed in rank 2.0,"}, {"start": 1106.86, "end": 1109.5, "text": " the entry point for champion was 4,500."}, {"start": 1109.5, "end": 1111.82, "text": " We had some champions close to 9,000."}, {"start": 1111.82, "end": 1114.86, "text": " So there was as much of an MMR spread from copper"}, {"start": 1114.86, "end": 1118.58, "text": " to champion as there was from champion all the way down"}, {"start": 1118.58, "end": 1121.34, "text": " to those 9,000 players."}, {"start": 1121.34, "end": 1123.02, "text": " All of those have now been squished together"}, {"start": champions per platform group, so console"}, {"start": 1182.68, "end": 1187.3400000000001, "text": " players and PC players, both are expected to be around 2,000 players champion, let alone"}, "text": " And we see that slugging out right now through the Emerald and like kind of flat diamond area"}, {"start": 1280.18, "end": 1284.9, "text": " is that those fundamentals, that strategy, that deep understanding of the game, it"}, {"start": 1284.9, "end": 1288.6200000000001, "text": " really becomes important when you're starting to face up against teams that do understand"}, {"start": We have heard also like there was"}, {"start": 1456.42, "end": 1459.6200000000001, "text": " times where an emerald and a plat were in the same squad and they were"}, {"start": 1459.6200000000001, "end": 1464.8600000000001, "text": " going up to say a squad of all emeralds and the plat was losing more in a loss than the"}, {"start": 1464.8600000000001, "end": 1470.3600000000001, "text": " emerald was, which is inverted from the system how we want it to be. So that's already been"}, {"start": 1470.3600000000001, "end": 1474.38, "text": " addressed as well. So now the plat will lose less than the emerald will lose more, which"}, {"start": 1474.38, "end": 1479.74, "text": " is what the intention was. We've also made a lot of changes with our squad calculation."}, {"start": 1479.74, "end": 1484.5800000000002, "text": " I know there's content creators with whiteboards that might want to be able to kind of fill"}, {"start": 1484.5800000000002, "end": 1489.2600000000002, "text": " this out. But basically the way that the squad calculation works is we'll take"}, {"start": 1489.26, "end": 1493.3, "text": " the squad MMR average so the average amongst everybody say if there's five"}, {"start": 1493.3, "end": 1497.18, "text": " players what the total is divided by five and then we'll take the highest so"}, {"start": 1497.18, "end": 1500.82, "text": " the max player so that's a diamond or emerald whoever's in that squad and then"}, {"start": 1500.82, "end": 1505.34, "text": " basically from that squad average and that highest rank it's the 75th percentile"}, {"start": 1505.34, "end": 1510.26, "text": " within that window so anyway that's a little insight on how the squad"}, {"start": 1510.26, "end": 1514.34, "text": " calculation is currently working at rank 3.0. actually relatively simple in the sense that if you beat somebody that's"}, {"start": 1607.8999999999999, "end": 1612.22, "text": " a higher team than yourself, you'll get more points and if you lose to somebody with, you"}, {"start": 1612.22, "end": 1615.62, "text": " know, that's less than you, you'll lose more points."}, {"start": 1615.62, "end": 1619.5, "text": " And how it ultimately works is that it's just win, win, win, win rate, excuse me."}, {"start": 1619.5, "end": 1624.18, "text": " So if you're getting a 50, 50 win rate, so you're winning one, losing one, winning"}, {"start": 1624.18, "end": 1627.6599999999999, "text": " one, losing one, yes, you will kind of stagnate and you're going to be at the"}, {"start": 1627.66, "end": 1629.28, "text": " the rank that you belong."},
