you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to First Touch Business Episode 1. It's me, Naz. Joining me is the Gentlemates and T-Base congrats again. Gentlemates on the win. Normally we'd be interviewing you guys online, but we can't go home. We're stuck here in Boston due to inclement weather, so we decided why not do a show live here in person. Again, Gentlemates, thank you for joining us. Me, Naz. Congrats, man. How do you feel right now? Thank you. I feel amazing. Even though you're stuck here, uh, yeah, I mean I think it's fine cuz we won if he lost I would have been a bit I mean base I mean talk to me how you doing? I mean I'm doing this one tomorrow lesson. It's a good time It's kind of cool everybody kind of stuck here, you know in the hotel is a little strange I mean, it's kind of funny. Usually everybody's got their suitcase and everything about the head on out but our Rod is here, and I got these guys So we never do in person interviews or just like talks and I'm very interested to see what this man has to say What is your man has to say what this young man has to say and that's good. That's a good good job He's gonna get a little bit of that and we'll be good to go Of course for towards up into things again If you guys attend at the arena days be on the lookout for the attendee title and a rocket pass premium as well as Again, the locked in limited time event only a few days left to finish that So if you haven't logged in and done that make sure you guys get that done But certainly back here to the Boston Major, makes you guys win in Boston. Stasky, you're the one leading this group of guys. I mean, most of the likes the end and cross the finish line for the first time. It was amazing. I mean, I told them a long time ago, even going back to Nip, that like, that was that's my thing. You know, I want to see these guys succeed. That's why I love what I do. It's not really for the medals or anything. That's why I'm the only one without a medal, I think. But yeah. Yeah, so it was incredible. Absolutely, I mean, and then Nass again, going to you, you won in that MVP. You had just quite a Sunday. You were electric, getting them out of the chair, just showing up and showing out. Talk to me about how you felt like on the stage playing. What made you get excited, animated like that? I mean, playing on stage, it's always really fun. I mean, the crowd was amazing. To be fair, I didn't expect the NA crowd to cheer for us, but I mean, it was really great. I mean, I paid amazing. I mean, Sasuke did say he'll bring us to the Sunday, but from the Sundays up to us. And thankfully, I kind of look he peaked on the Sunday. You're having a ball. That's for sure. I mean, was there anything specifically that got you up after the chair the way it was? Sorry, yeah. Like, what made you so animated inside it? I mean, I really wanted to win with these guys especially. I mean, going into the tournament, I thought we were the best team and thankfully we showed it. So. Enough. We're going to get these two guys talking. Let's pass the mics here toward the center. I want to start with Archie. Don't eat it. I mean, Archie, you've been playing rock, you've been playing for a long time. Long time. And finally getting it done with this team. What does it mean to you? It's nice, man. But to be honest, I just want to win more. The feeling wasn't that good, to be fair. Now I just want to win regional four, regional five, regional six, major, east of the World Cup boats. I mean, we're going for everything, man. We're coming for everything, man. So now satisfied. We're going to get back into the World Cup. I mean, I'm satisfied to finally get a win. But I think we expected to win with this team, man. I think we came into the season expecting to win majors, man. I like it. I like it. I mean, Oskie, going to you, I mean, you saw what you could do as an individual way back in the team liquid days. And there was definitely that potential of making it, but finally crossing that finish line, like talking about the journey that you made, and then of course with the teammates, because I mean, you know, these guys for a long time. Yeah, I mean, I don't know if liquid, like we always have the level, but I don't know why we just never could perform went online. But I mean, I still appreciate the time we had. I think it taught me a lot like as a person, but also as a player. And then with these guys, I mean, it was a team that we built for winning nuns and you know, being the first major in all, we did it and yeah I'm not gonna lie, I was expecting a better feeling but it's still What is this nuns is about a better feeling? You and Archie both talking about it, what were you expecting? What were you expecting? So much dope, so much dope, so much dope. I had dope, like for the last minute of the game when my six goes up and then like when we're walking to the trophy man the dope's leaving and leaving and leaving and it's literally fully coming out of my hoodie And then when we lift the trophy, I'm like, nice. You know what I mean? It's just what it is. I mean, it's even though I like don't fully believe that we won. Why don't you? What do you mean you won? Yeah, we won. But maybe I don't fully believe it. But bro, like honestly, I felt emotional. It was too easy? I felt emotional. I mean, not easy. I mean, of course, we struggled sometimes when game seven twice, bro. Like we didn't win an OT. We didn't win like in like a last goal. We won like so early in the game, bro. Like we've won many left, like bro. We already knew we won, bro. So we were kind of celebrating for the last minute, And then it kind of just came true when we won. Gigi, maybe you got it going, go ahead. But to be fair, they also set the entire weekend. But if we just made the final, we were going to win. So it was almost like even before the final even started, we had already celebrated. Like when we won the semi-final, we had already celebrated the fact we won the tournament. Which sounds ridiculous, but they set it in the regional too. And we also smashed KC in the regional. So it was like we just, it was just there. There was not, there wasn't enough though. I see, I see. It was weird, it was a weird feeling. You don't think there was no confetti? Like I was actually, Was there no confetti? No, right? There was no confetti, I noticed that. Yeah, and they mistimed the, I don't know what they called, but like the, Sparklers? Sparklers, they mistimed it. So when we were done lifting the trophy, the sparklers turned on. Oh, listen, that's something about the work on this. More confetti, more confetti and Tom the sparkler's right. Maybe that'll lead to the moment when I'm feeling a little more real, you know what I'm saying, because apparently it wasn't enough. Even though, I mean, I watched the cameras, and I've never seen something Archie did something that can remember. Archie had that terrible footage set that got by Zin somehow. Hey, that's a good reason. I mean, I don't think he's unexpected. I don't know if Archie is expected. I mean you got right by him and then after that and then it was open he's oh listen maybe in the moment yeah like I said maybe we just need to take the time it just take a little time of like you know just relax maybe a few days man I appreciate it more appreciate it more yeah maybe a few days I see when the money hits the bank maybe when the money comes in yeah I mean the money's nice you get a cut of that are you do oh you got better contract in the most of them some of them don't get no money for nothing Yeah, no problem. So talk to me about the level of competition because I think you guys had You guys had a game five in your group stages like last match of the group. It might be our yet in my BR but Despite that one and some other like kind of close calls I think Archie you said the toughest comp was Falcons in the event. Yeah falcons for me I mean, I think the energy like was close, but we thought that we was in control of that series like and they shouldn't have gone to game 7 in my opinion like we should have won early and even though they were 3-1 up we should have like won like 4-1 to be honest and Falcons was obviously hard because actually was struggled like I think they played good we played good at time so they actually was a game 7 in my opinion but it was serious not like we were the bad team so I gotta ask you what does it feel like getting over that hump because a lot of times it might not be a hump for you but there were times like going into this event you you could probably count on one hand how many people actually had you guys winning the entire thing. But to prove it to people by winning these couple matches series by series, I mean, does that feel like a statement in your mind that people shouldn't be winning you guys higher? I mean, now for sure. I mean, I think everyone obviously poses number one in the board right now. And I think that's how it should be bought. I don't really care if people pause finishing 84 first month. I don't think it makes a difference to us. Like, we think we're going to win. That's fair enough, that's fair enough, base. That's all I got for him, man. That's all you got for him? Yeah. I mean, listen, I mean, so, where's Brighton starting in? What's my story again coach? We are Mike first. I think about a week and a half. We have like no break this time. I think the first qualifier is like late March or something for us. I'm not quite sure with NA and EU if we swap around now or what's happening. But it's not too long. So yeah, it starts soon again. Okay, okay. I thought I saw one in Oskie. Tell me, you said you weren't playing that well. that well even though you had a pancake a pancake reset it's how to game up a game seven how can you say that I mean the punky core was nice but I thought the first like two or three games like I won't like playing on my usual self and that's probably to my standard to myself I expect the higher standard than usual okay but I mean I don't think I was awful I just don't think I was like You don't think you're peaking? No. Not like Bali in the final. Not like Bali? No, no. I mean, shoot. And then, Nas, you got 12 goals. All-time land record. Yeah. It's nice. It's nice? It's nice. That's just a start though, huh? Uh, yeah, hopefully. Give her that. Listen, I know they said they don't care, but I just remember here, I haven't seen one of y'all won. One of the people who made those top 25s listen to tell them how terrible they were. Well, my list was good. Yeah, you're the arch yet for I like that Well listen had an agenda had an agenda so I had them vote for 15 14 But of course you guys have yourselves at the top of the world right now Looking at the rest of the competition There's gonna be some changes right because now people are gonna want to get that in puts in your own region And do you think Vitality is your toughest competition, or is Karmie Korp still kind of that number two under you guys? It's Casey. Casey? Yeah. I don't know what happened to them this weekend. I think they played a lot better. I think, I mean, probably just then. It's not like I watch closely every single series they have, but it looked like Sen play quite well. And Sen plays well. He makes any team incredible. But I think from a team aspect, Casey is better than Vitality. I don't know what happened to them this weekend. They looked a bit weaker than usual, but I'm sure they're bounced back. How do you feel about the match? Yeah, it's going to be Casey. No, Vatati. I don't think Vatati is even close to Casey. Nothing Vatati is close to Casey. Yeah, if Casey plays on a normal level, then, of course. That's what he's doing. Listen, Vatati got a couple of games. One double against Casey, though. Watch out for them by Saudi boys. I got another guy to have this guy though, Big Mac, Big Jaffa himself. He's up on the mic today and said, NA is nowhere near EU. Yeah. Anything wrong with that statement? Name like one of the team of an NG that's capable of winning a major. I can't. Yeah. I mean, your second C team is 0-16 in the last four eliminations in playoffs man. Is that wrong about that either? What's the problem with the teams that aren't NRG? They don't know how to play the game man. Respectfully they don't know how to play the game. Their playstyle is terrible. They're all just individuals. That's why I'm like for real they just don't know how to play the game. They literally have no style, no playstyle, they just literally just all three individual players. They just I think. But that's not going to work against EU teams, man. Even if EU teams are like the individuals are playing like Paulie, I think EU is the one. Because like we actually have structure, we actually have teamwork, NA has nothing, and RG is really good, but other than that like, nah man, NA is not good. That's a very different major champions. NA not good. That means that when you start working on it, I'm looking at Diggs, I'm looking at Evo and Borat on the cover for a reason. They're making some waves, might have to play as God next major, might I'll show you a little something to get it might not beat you, but the net us Bora you know that is no exactly Don't listen keep it. I want it to come from behind Played evil. Oh, he's nice any nice. I mean, I think he was like a talent It's a talent. I mean we got figured out. I've just heard some things man. Okay. Here's some things. Yeah Listen, well, we'll keep you like that. Yeah How long we've been talking to y'all? I don't want to keep you too long. They've been 20 minutes. No, how long is it? 15? Well, listen, we got one. We got birthday man as well here turn 19 Yeah, I'm turning 19. I'm turning 19 today. Yep. No, I see that man. Listen and your major champion on your 19 birthday Yeah, I mean it was day before but technically in the EU it was midnight so yeah, it's a good birthday for them I mean that's a very birthday present man. Yeah, listen man listen, I don't know if the market got any more questions for you I don't know y'all want to tell the fans anything. I'll try one more for the MVP real quick. Okay, ask the MVP man Because listen, you want the MVP and especially you know People always, every lane you play you always get a lot of talk around the town about how you perform But this time definitively everybody thought you were the best player at this event Do you feel like that now? Did you feel like you're going into it? Like, as you played on another level, or put yourself on another level, are you starting to put yourself higher than some of the best players in the world? I mean, going into the event, I thought, I mean, I always thought I was one of the best players in the world, but I didn't think I was sorry. I didn't think a lot about it. I just wanted to play as a team and try to win as a team. But, I mean, what sort of question? Yeah, but what do you feel like you you're sitting here on the up as long like a player is like What do you think yourself? I place myself third Third? In the world In the world, yeah In the world Bro, you won MVP bro Above me is Oski and Archimel That's all that comes out That's all that comes out Hey Any new e-mails you got to bust out next land? Maybe. Maybe? I'll try to find something. Try to find something that's kind of natural and it stands up and it goes all the way across. I would say you're the only person that ever, it stands up, it's got screens and it daps all the way across. All the way across the oscule, it leans all the way over the ocean. It takes us back down. I'm like, come on, that's nice. That's the energy we like to see. I mean, listen, I mean, you want so many fans. I had a I mean the most guys my friends that went to the land and in this court ever saying that I mean There's major fans of you now, and they never really I get rock watch rock later They're from North America, but I mean other gentleman's fans. So you know, you know, that's nice But you got any more question? Shout out to the gentleman's friends show our Anfo man. What is that? Anfo, Anfo, can you know what it is? Shout out to my brother, performance coach. Shout out to Kev, my brother, me too, my family. Go on Kev, dude, all the gentlemen staff man. As Aux manager, Anfo performance coach, we have our cameraman Martin Aaron, we have Marcel here, head of eSport, Etachi Brox, CEO, Etachi Not CEO, not head of Rock League either. He's just a streamer guy. All the CEOs at home, all tweeting at us, all the other teams celebrating with us on Twitter. It's amazing. It's the close to a family you get. I love that. That's why they're so successful with everything. The European, the French organization especially, they do it right. We help them to bust after, we call them on the bus, they're bumping and using and having a great time. I even call Archie Don't dance a little bit out of his little shell. Nah, fuck. Gipson wouldn't want to take off his shirt this time. Gipson wouldn't want to take off his shirt this time. Only celebrating that, man. Only doing the G-1s. And we're going to get everyone. That was the only time you ever get a Gip shirtless moment. So yeah. Yeah, listen, man, listen. I appreciate you all. I do appreciate you all. And you want to show the medals to the camera, do what you do. And enjoy the night. Enjoy the night, bro. Show it off. Show it off. I don't see it. Yeah, it's a good one. Come on, Bally. Yeah. Appreciate y'all. Thank you. Thank you guys. Thank you for coming on. Appreciate your arch. Appreciate it, bro. Get your cookie, bro. Appreciate it, bro. Happy birthday, bro. Thank you. Yeah, sir. Yeah, sir. I was the gentlemates. And I mean, it's always good to see those boys finally cross the line, Bates. They didn't go driving up. listen if you want you can call them over there and sat down he's acting like he doesn't like the camera these days. That one. Matt? You know what I'm talking about. Oh there we go. You want to get him? You want to get him? Yeah go get him. Go get him. Get him behind up and get him over here. Here we go. Listen I will wait in the house of Jiddle Maze tomorrow how's that conversation. Chaps you like that conversation Jiddle Maze? Listen put some hearts in the chat for the Jiddle Maze they put on the show this previous weekend of course major champions beat him basically everybody they did it in style too. They this down to it up. We got them. I knew we were gonna get them. I knew we would We got the whole squad now now we're talking. Oh, hey, we got James. Yeah, we got James. I'm gonna run it now We got now we got my guy What a squad Saty welcome James boss the first touch Matt. How you doing? All right, that's gonna be snowed in with everybody some weird experience. It's like those was Tom Cassano earlier. It's like, remember those tweets where people are like, what, what airplane row would you like to sit on with like all the rock? I feel like a fever dream, honestly. It does feel a little surreal. I mean, how do you feel about the battles? It's about 15 hours today. 15 hours. Yeah, a little late night at the casino last night. There's nothing to do here. How much do you win? Up 150. 150 on the night. There you go. Matt is not up 150. I'm actually enjoying this to be honest. I said it yesterday. It's you never get an event with everyone where people don't have obligations Yep, so like now everyone's here and no one has anything to do. So it actually is pretty fun I'm gonna join it. It's actually funny because like I I was contemplating like renting a car right after the event And I would go, I mean, when you're old like me, you know, you want to get home sometimes. You've got a family and stuff. But WaveClunk was like, he's like, no, what if we regret not just staying and experiencing it with everybody? And I was like, you know, that's a good argument. It's fun. I think it'll be fun to look back on and talk about the day that we got stuck in Boston. Also, I'm glad that it wasn't as bad as people were predicting because, I mean, one day is good. But I need to get home too. Listen, that's fair enough James. Just fair enough. All right. Let's dial it back in though I want to talk about things are going on to the event Matt because we got you over here for a reason First look oh what no good. Okay? so Couldn't get the job done all the way. No, but you got you did check of a check mark off a box That box to be covered for probably taking down a blue wall About the feeling it was because that game was a battle that might have been series of a tournament If the general makes things might have a different point, but outside of that, I mean, it was just a full-on competition of a lockhouse battle. I thought it was just, like you said, it was a battle between two teams who I think obviously I'm biased, but play great Rocket League. I thought it was back and forth, it was fast paced, it was high action, a lot of offense, a lot of pressure, a lot of close saves, just as a result of that. that. I mean, yeah, we were happy to obviously get it done. In that sense, we obviously failed the main goal. Still kind of have a checkbox to, or a checkmark to, you know, sort out because vitality still kind of haunts us, but yeah, it's fun. I mean, my heart was racing. The guys were all excited. That comms video is gonna go crazy. I'm already seeing edits of it, so yeah, it's good. It is a a good one. This one. When are we getting the 3P? It's got to be this one. Is it a 3P with them? Yeah. Is it? I don't know. I feel like you would have done it by now. No. No, you don't point. There's definitely been like splits. It's been splits. I don't know. It's probably hard. It's the hardest to do it three times in a row. No, but this is an ugly NA right now. And it's a good looking NRG. I would say this is one of the better splits for chances for them to do it, to be honest. I'm not bought in with redacted. I'm not bought in with shout-out yet. Honestly, SSG had me convinced, like, especially, hey, hey, hey, I told Jeremy when I signed. Honestly, SSG kicked off LAN and pressed me a ton. I thought they were going to be the team that kind of stood toe-to-toe with NRG, but I don't know. We got to get something going. We need Chicago back coach, and we need something. I mean, talk about it. I mean, Archie said that NA is nowhere near you right now. It's not. They're not. We're we are not. You've got to put some bright minds at the head of some of these teams and agree on now. You need Scribbles back. Bring them out. Bring them back. You need Scribbles back. That was a top 10 North American player that just quit for fun. You have some really intelligent players that retired. You look like Kago Jane apps that I think would make really good coaches for some of these talented players. But I don't know. Do you think there's some consolidation, talent consolidation that could be done? For sure. I think there's a lot of duos right now like, okay, say you're a North American player that's not on the team. But you know, your stocks, you could join a team. If you look outside the major, you have Gen G, which whatever you want to say is the two best players from that team. I would say you definitely pick Magic Baron than one of Justin and Ryze. I'd probably say Justin. You look at Flut with Cheese and Frosty. That's a pretty good duo. You look at Dignitas with Bora and Evo. Evo, the player that has been so good for so long, but it's kind of hard to take a risk on. And then Bora, who just looks insane. So there's definitely a group of between six to eight players outside of the major that can contend for majors. So I think it might be tricky with org stuff. You never know what the contracts look like, but I think there's some good players. Yeah. That's interesting, but to me it feels like the individual talent is there, but it's to put it together. That seems like it's a problem. You don't have to tell me. I'm 100% with you. I mean, that's why you've historically seen teams in NA like OGWIN where you're looking at JNAPS, NOLI, and COM, and they're going for a flip reset and falling off the ball every time, but they're finishing like third or fourth in NA every time. Same thing with me, making a decent amount of majors. You just and that's what I'm saying like players like Chicago like that. I think like really understood the game You got you got to put them in positions of power and I don't know if you would want to I don't want to coach And I think Jane abs was coaching, you know us a little bit last year, but I just there. There's something about these teams That just really really really don't understand it even with you know as much time as they have so it's it's Honestly hard to watch sometimes you think and I want to get your answer to both you guys Is it a culture thing? Is it an NA culture thing? I think a pretty big part of it, yeah. Yeah, I mean, the Ego. Egos are definitely a bit too big. How do we fix it? We need some sort of culture shock. I mean, there needs to be an announcement made to everybody that NA has not done anything in a long time. And we keep coming to tournaments and having results like the ones we saw this weekend. And that just needs to be enough of a keep your mouth shot and work, honestly. Like just thinking at it from like a systems perspective, what kind of system could we do? Is it like a six bands? Is it like more tournaments that are that teams actually playing on? Well, I'm just saying like what kind of system can we put in that can help build towards that? I think it's these teams and coaches, it's not necessarily, I think, like a practice issue or at least a platform issue. I think it's just our practice needs to be better against each other and all these coaches and players need to look at the European teams, the top European teams and try to emulate some of that and really understand what's working for them and why it's working. There's also been like me and Matt have always been in agreeance with it to where it's like there's there has to be a stigma around like air dribble bumps and demos and low 50s. Yeah, going low, faking low. Because EU does that 95% of the time. If you see the tier hit the ball off the wall, he is almost edge-rebeling across every single time. He's so, like, complexity to do an NA really well. But in NA, you're not looking at many players that are willing to do, like, the most optimal cringe play. I give, like, Wavey a lot of credit for it. I think Wavey makes some great plays. If you watch their win over Shopify in the regional, there's one view on the FK, and I gave him 6-0-T. He's just sitting there, sitting there, sitting there, like, baking, baking, baking in the 50s under him. It's like, you don't get that in NA all the time, but in EU you watch like, you're watching Archie play, you're watching exotic play, like, they're just making the right play. And regardless of what, a lot of North American players are gonna say about like their mechanics, like, there's a reason that Zen wants to play with exotic, there's a reason that Nas and Oskie wanna play with Archie. Like, there are just, there's a lot more winning players in EU, I think, yep. All right, good. I like that. I like that, listen, that dog's on the NA enough. Now it's time to talk about the important things I like. Listen, Matt, I had a 47 minute series against Carmine Colts. That was crazy. You know that's the second longest series of all time. You know the first one is this? Us against Fury, us against Warwick. You know, you're listening. That's the man who knows it and stuff. That's why he's the coach. That's why he's the world champion. That's why he's trying to make the champion. Now, I'll tell you this also. Now, listen, I got a good idea about format. Uh-oh. Let's look at the whole volume. Here we go. Well, I'll be thinking about three matches on a Sunday, and then six matches on a Saturday. What do you think about that? So, rather than that match you play against Carmine, He didn't get to go to bed the night before, and he refreshed himself by telling me, did he feel it? What do you think? You can make an argument either way. It's like, you know, if a match against Carmine only happens, what, on Saturday? So we already do that lower bracket and then the upper bracket, or actually this time we did it reverse. We did upper bracket, then lower bracket, and then we'd go into that match immediately. I mean, it could work. It could work. It'd be kind of a long day though, no? Yeah, but then Sunday would be shorter for you. Yeah. Saturday's four series was six hours long. Realistically, the only way I think we actually can properly do that is if we had another day to work with. And, you know, that's a whole different... Do you feel like the boys are tired after that call me series? We're never going to use that coat. I think... Ah, it's a good one. It is a coat. Like, fatigue is a real thing, but you can train endurance. and you can, you know, how quickly you can close out a series is you get rewarded, you know, if you can do that or if you make a series go long, you're going to get punished. That's cool. I hate when I hear fatigue. That's never been a thought in our heads, honestly. Yeah, we used to do like, there was like seven or eight best of sevens in a single day. I actually think it's the Saturday Sunday, the amount of matches is kind of the sweet spot. Personally, I think it's fine. If anything, if I saw a change, I would just want to see a change in the format leading into bracket. Yeah. That's where I think we should make it. From this major, yeah. But I think the next major looks promising. Yeah. Who wants to talk about the groups? In what sense? Like the format or the actual groups themselves? The format? Or the? The format. The format. No, I wasn't a fan just because it was two cutthroat and the how can, or how set in stone the paths were for each team. You're not lucky with Tiber, too. Yeah. Yeah. They don't need to talk about Tiber. But with how set in stone versus like Swiss, you know, you can have a lot of crossing over between the entire group of teams. This is like these teams can only play each other. That's it. I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan. You didn't like the build-up of knowing who you're going to play? No. You know, nothing else, anything in there? I mean, you can do a bit of prepping, but just the open format in general, that's not what anyone really focuses on as much these days. Like in the prep side of things, a lot of people are just focused on their own playstyle for the most part. You obviously can. It kind of can slightly change things, but I'm still all about competitive integrity and I think SWIS still provides the best form of them. And I really hate two things about the groups. I think next major with three going out, it'll be better, but with this major, two things, one, matches that don't matter. You have energy five years, that should never be a thing. And two, GK almost had a situation where they three, one, redacted, and then three, two, Furia or something, I don't remember the exact series course there, but their third series was Falcons. If they had gotten swept by Falcons and Furia had beaten VP, they would have been out of the tournament. At two, one, beating GK and, or sorry, Furia and redacted. That is crazy. I'm not a huge fan of the tournaments where one loss can eliminate you. One there also was a point. I know they tried to keep the games going at the same time for this purpose. But when GK finally took a game off Falcons and went 3-1, they were saying, yeah, it was good. Like, you could just not obviously do it. But mentally, they could, you know, pressure them. And there was another one with Gentlemates Shopify. Gentlemates, once they had qualed, they could have lost the series and then throw an MIBR. Which obviously like they're not gonna do that. No one's gonna do it We hope but like the fact that it's possible escape versus Swiss it feels like everything matters so much more you were like Elost doesn't hurt as bad, but you want to win every single thing no matter what full full pressure Singly limbrac Champion decided on Friday I mean listen listen that's good listen they like to swiss I think swiss is better but I like the groups I think the three three three three L.A. teams groups I think that's very fair. I thought I was career training too the whole way through. I think it made it like really like I felt like to me every match really mattered more even to swiss because you have technically really have less room for error less margin for error I should say so that's why I kind of liked about it so actually I see what y'all saying though too brother is like you lose one time and you're like you're out of the tournament. That would be crazy. That's tough. That's tough. Yeah, that's all when asked me about the format stuff like that. Well, listen, I'm surprised He's Kurt Signetti, bro, he has to give me is no fatigue. I'm gonna take it's not a thing I mean, dude, we had the G2 NV 21 game series back in the day Seen it all but it doesn't matter. It's three hours of rock. They are two and a half hours rock Whatever it was 21 777 yeah That was 19 I think yeah, yeah, that's season X championship semi. Yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's good, man. I think we have time for 15 minutes now, something like that. I haven't got time in a long time. That's all right. You got anything to say for the people at home or? No, I mean, Shadow Gentlemates, Matt will have more to say than I do, but this event was awesome. First one as a full-time streamer and not other than kickoff, but it was a fun event. I'm enjoying the capacity I'm in the Rock League seen in and, you know, hope to do it for a long, lot more time. Okay. James? Yeah, it was a good time. Had a lot of fun. Yeah, I think one of the things that that was a challenge for me is I had to lug a whole bunch of equipment for Johnny and CJ and Garrett. Brought like a whole Pelican case that was heavy and full of crap. Should I? Yeah. You know, these mics are mine too. It's our deal. Everybody calm down. No, it was a good time though. I mean, it's a great major, congrats to mates, fully deserved, Nassball is a baller, as everyone could see. That G2 system? Yeah, I mean, we talked about it, I said that was built off that EWC 2024, but now, obviously thanks to NRG fans, sorry about the result, but we'll obviously be back stronger, and crowd was awesome, arena was awesome, thanks everyone for coming out and not being too scared of the snow. Thank you guys so much for joining us. We appreciate y'all again guys at home give these guys lots of love Thank you guys, I appreciate it bro. Send them some hearts and some well wishes and I'm giving them a piece of awesome stuff. Safe travel back home again again. I was good to talk to those boys. We got a whole James Mike thing. I didn't know that he was with his mikes. Oh yeah, I thought there was guys. He's coming, he's coming, he's coming, sit down and start smirking, what do you mean? Look at you, what do you mean? She's crying to be hanging out with the boys, you know? Everyone was pretty happy, you think the major went as expected for everyone? I told you this would happen I told you this would happen Well first off, listen, I saw the clip U.S. U.S. U.S. Well, give me the falcons Give me the falcons I didn't say come I'll pull my hand up I didn't say come I didn't say come I was always like T-Bates He's got me, I've got him me I've got him and he just flicked the Falcons. Welcome back I don't know how everybody can shop for a million. We have four a million predictions. I was going to say his pretty spot on. Yeah that was that was one of the worst best of sevens I've ever seen. No defense. I don't think Falcons really is not defending them today. I think Falcons really looked that good either I think it was just yeah. I'm taking that as the answer for my question because my question was going to be are you going to actually put more time into the list and clearly the answer is no. There was nothing wrong with the list if it went as I thought it was going to go. Which it did not. I mean it's up there with probably the worst list anyone's ever made now. Number one, yeah, too much of my left them off Well, I'm last you should have left them off that point. You think it was worse. Yeah I think I think people forget about them like like so like I think it's a screenshot ability. Is that even a word? Yeah, like the fact that you can get screen shot. Oh, yeah, and it was screen shot. I like you can have it It was screen-shotted. It was sent to me. Listen. It was posted by by the way Shout out to Ant Shout out to Ant by the way Ant was cooking all weekend long He was cooking you He was cooking me He was also doing great work Great work on the socials You check him out He did all the work He saw our overtime graphics and everything Yeah, L.A. Ant actually Not W.M. Yeah, it's W.A. He's screen shot He's washing everything He's screen shot You're behind I think it's actually better I think it's better I think it's better Like this dude didn't have Monkey Moon or Nalpo or nothing I feel like I That was great though Yeah, exactly That did nothing Well, he's not lucky that way Oh look at him. Oh my goodness. Here he is. What do you think of him first? I didn't say anything. I mean what an event, right guys? I mean hasn't it just been brilliant? I love Boston. Every time you come here the same thing happens. It's just fantastic. It's a great event, great city, and we're snowed in so we can't even leave. You're stuck here with me. Boys are good to be here. What a region. What are you just doing from me? What are you just doing from me? What are you just doing from me? What are you just doing from me? Sorry, this is your podcast though. I have a mic dude. Oh, you have a mic. It's just me and you. Oh, yeah, thanks, Johnny. Yeah, what a great weekend. I mean, it sets Paris out well, doesn't it? Yeah, it does. I mean, we're going to get more fans in Paris, obviously, now. Tickets And I bounce back baby What do you have sat here he said, I don't use that coat, he said it's not a coat, I'm not doing that, he was training during this, he said, we're not in a good series, and then listen, if we put ourselves in that position, we should be able to finish the series all faster, so we can move on to the next one. So, basically he said, never fatigue, I'll just care, I'll just care what he was going to say. Yeah, he said that, and I asked him, okay, you know, I brought up y'all, oh God, I don't know about your brain, I'm with you right now. What happened? I started talking full match, but I don't think they won that. Obviously, let's talk about the top games. Oh, that's my thing. That's everything? Oh, now I'll say that we should play 6 games on Saturday and 3 games on Sunday. I thought to you about this, so there you go. Yeah, you did. You liked the shorter Sunday? Yeah, the shorter Sunday. So then, you would have played the first match like it did, and then they would have played again against Carmine. Sometimes, it's easier on the Sunday, for sure, to make a run, But it's harder for the teams to lose in uppers. So imagine energy loses to Gents and mates. They have to play again the same day. Whereas, then KC are coming off a win, and they have to play the same day. So it's like, you're always going to get some. I think people are going to complain either way about, oh, this didn't work for my team. Therefore, I think it's unfair. What about? It's the same for everybody. What about a best of three, best of five? Yes. Said a tanky. They were talking about that earlier. That's what it said, you know? I bet that one was the best of three, best of seven. I think, I don't know, I just like longer finals. I don't know. I think the risk there is that it could be one sided and boring, but I think you kind of got to take that risk in order to have like a legendary final. When was the last time we had a game seven in a final? Well, game seven in a deciding final has been, there hasn't been one in the opening era. Game seven's in like the first five to seven. Game seven in the G2 case. Yeah, case of G2 and also Mois Falkens, but they were not the deciding final. I just think that you do potentially three best of fives. I think there's a good chance you get to that third best five. And that would be, that would be saying, and then you, you know, one team gets a three-oh, everyone walks off, reset. Just ignore that guy. Okay. Everyone comes back. This is just walk past it, he's stretching. I don't know if Gary didn't see that. Gives just walks past, he's stretching. He's just lifted a leg, he's just lifted a leg. Oh, the, okay. Stretching his legs out. He's keeping, you know, keeping mobile. I love that guy. He's honestly gives over time. He's not right now. He just doesn't have the kids. He's just here, hotel, just gaming with the boys. He's medium on these. I'll tell you what, off the topic of Gibbs and the boys, but Paris back in France, this is going to be good for NA because actually French teams were not very good in France. the only time I said it's right now it's French Arg, not French players so yeah I have no French players will they get the French? yeah NRG won the only line in France so I think you know the home field advantage doesn't seem to be a thing no it doesn't matter I was gonna say gentlemen might have hit the wrong timing nah you take a win but there might be more pressure on Paris I see that would be legendary that would be legendary win in Paris and now they're gonna win even more but obviously you take a win when it's no complaints. Yeah. What do you guys think about KC? Because KC looked a little bit out of sorts yesterday. I don't know. They looked out of sorts. I thought it was the best series I've seen. Yeah. Well, I thought Ato didn't play up to his usual level. And I don't think Juicy looked confident at all. So I think Vittira looked phenomenal. Daniel looked phenomenal. NRG actually deserved the win. But I don't think Ato or Juicy are producing. And Vittira's tweet might agree, He did tweet that he is part of his his individual performance, but they seem to learn How's it what they need to figure out his parts perform better? I mean the piggyback off that we sat here and talked to the gentleman so we asked them Vitality of wine like I did the biggest competition that they're gonna have a year, but they say no, it's okay See so like Casey probably did just have like an off-series there and our G I mean you can take off serious, but it was still a long The whole tournament though. I don't think they just lost their winning streak to Vitality. They did a 12 winning streak or something, 11 winning streak. In RLCS they lost that. They got reverse swept. They got reverse swept. They lose to NRG. They've got Vatira playing really well, but the team isn't...usually they've got that unit. Just a KC, just unstoppable offense. But I'm not seeing that right now. Yeah, you said it seemed like I don't I hate using the word frustrated because when we said that about drawing people They were getting negative Instagram. It seemed like they were sticking like they were kind of Swerving off of their game plan a little bit because the tier had a lot to say You did get a little bit, but I don't think it was off series I think maybe they just weren't doing exactly what I think I think the fact of vitality smacked NRG after that made it look like KC were playing worse because of how easily vitality handled NRG But I think that series by itself was a fan type like it was the best series I've seen best game seven Or a blasted no, I was just gonna say when we were watching that that KC energy I it really felt like one of the highest level matches I ever see The overtime especially but I feel like a final But then after that I think that long overtime definitely tired both teams are a little bit Which is understandable because it starts to get slightly more sloppy after that But that's every line match I feel is like when you get to the business end mistakes are gonna happen It's a line, but that overtime is crazy. Definitely the best overtime I've seen In RLCS, I think You also have you about the volatility or a blasting I want to talk to you guys about Nina, because it wasn't necessarily greatest performance, Nina twisted minds kind of fell flat, and then Falcons get losing to the general mates, but do we feel like now that Nina, or now that we see Nina at this international stage, we see twisted minds against international competition, as high as we have from going It's time to put them down a little bit lower or what do you think was going on? Twistedly back. Lowly back. I thought Falcons finished strong. I think they looked really good on Sunday. That series against Channelmates went to 7. Could have gone either way. So I think Falcons finished strong but the tournament was inconsistent for them. But great finish. I'm happy where they are at the end. Twisted mines? Yeah. Group of Death didn't make it out. They've got some improvement. No, they did not. They did not make that thing out. gonna make it out but clearly clearly we overrated them most of us did we overrated them though you got like the groups makes teams they went to five against Casey and with five against Casey yeah by Tati swapped NRG and they also beat KC. Yeah, yeah. So do you like that? Yeah. That looked pretty good. That was just like, yeah. I think like it just, I mean, I did lose them that too much. I mean, I had Twisted Minds of 5 coming into the event and now they've got them at 6, but they lost to some of these. I know, but then you had KC at 1 and you moved them down to 5. Yeah, I've moved KC down. KC at 5? Yeah, he has KC at, well, yeah, but then you had NRG, but little Falcons still. Yeah, I mean Falcons played about your Sunday, so I think they were close to the champs, game 7 of the champs and NRG did not play well against Vitality who then lost the final. So, I mean looking at Sunday I think Falcons were the third best team, yeah, for me. Which is why I got them at 3. Do you guys think that, close though? I think that NRG losing again to Vitality like that kind of taints the world championships win. No, no, no. That's World Championship. If you see that, they're in those areas outside of the World Championship. You can try to get them. Whoa, whoa, whoa. The World Championship is still the World Championship. given that I didn't go through the one team I can't beat. I think, well, what you can say is that if, I mean, if, but it's Vitality did play energy at Worlds, I think Vitality would have beaten them, but that's just to stay up a good matchup. But you don't play everybody. It's not like we get every team to go to the tournament to play all 16 matchups. You don't play everybody. So the bracket went energy's way and they delivered, but they can only play who's in front of them. So I don't think it takes away from another win. They beat who they had to beat. There's a match-up issue there for sure. There's a place that a little clash going on in that match, but no. You win worlds, you win worlds. There's a mental clash going on in the cap. There's a mental clash going on right there. I don't know what's happening. Listen, man, the last one's me. It's your OCE boys. The boys down under. Close. They're close. They've been close for a while. I believe in it more than you do. You do. I didn't expect that from Team Power, but that looks good. us. I believe any more you do. How do you watch the games? Yeah, clearly. We worked that out. We worked it out real quick. But I mean, they look good. I think we saw the mental side kicking. I mean, we're just such a, I want to say we're mentally weak as a region. I think we just, we care so much. That means so much to us that when we get to that final You know, winning that final game, we just can't do it, can't get the job done. But the Powerboys and Proud of them, I think Wildcard have still come back and made Paris. Yeah, Wildcard made it. Yeah. You've got to buy my Canterbury Bordeaux. Canterbury Max and our Bordeaux is looking pretty good, but they did win the last event with no pressure. They couldn't qualify for the Major, you know, everything was... We saw that, all we see with those two year light, you've got like two or three teams that are in the hunts and then you get that upset team that have nothing to play for, they're just absolutely balling our ball chasing and that's all we saw. happens but I think we'll all cut a little as a fact I'll make it about that make it back yeah mr. worldwide mr. worldwide I mean mr. worldwide okay hold on mr. worldwide because your last thing was OC you said I talked about South America so if I want to I won't put Sam under the table here because it did have a pretty I mean I feel like we didn't make Sam out of good land they actually did yeah made in Brazil were more impressive than I expected cuz I mean it's all those list. Remember we don't need to get into it. I mean I think they're not fully back yet because we still have you know we've got so many good results from FURIET in the past, make it top fours, grand finals and top sixes. So they're not they're nowhere near where they once were but this is a step in the right direction for South America. That being said they are actually losing to OCE I believe in the play-in spot. Yes, I'm fury finished last in the group so yeah. They were there one and two but because they dropped that last series they actually finished last in the group so not ideal for for South America there. So you could snag the play-in spot. Yeah they got more in them. That Falcons one was weird just because I don't think that was I mean even Falcons on Saturday they look great. Yeah, every day. I'm driving out to get my little hair missed, but... If they could produce something, so they do it on a Sunday every day, they're going to be a contender. I mean, they are a contender. I think we've got like five main contenders right now, Karmicorp, Falkins, Vitality, NRG, and Gentlemates. And then everybody else is a bit further back. I think those are your top five. Yeah. I mean, we're kind of thinking of doing a play a tier list, I don't see it. I don't know. There's a lot of players around here, so we might get something. Which could get hated. That's why I tell you who I'm here? Yeah. Wait, on top? Whenever. Whatever. Whatever. I think that could be the next big one after the discussion. That could cause some controversy. We've got the players here live as well. What do you guys reckon? If we did a player tier list here, Snowden edition with the players watching. Oh, that was horrible. They wouldn't agree. I'm saying there's a few players that I think are underperform. You know, you got the likes of Falcons, we saw the deraille angle as well. Best player in the world, where is he right now? Things like that. There's a lot of twisted minds, one and two, never mind. They didn't look good either. So, could be content, I'm just throwing it out there. I'm just throwing it out for you guys. Anyway, we'll see. I think Atto's maybe gone down this event. this wasn't the usual Ato, you know, best in the world conversation or anything near it. I think he needs to get back to that form if they're going to be the dominant KC that they were last season because it's Vittira and Ato that drew, plus one. Every time they're playing, it's Vittira and Ato putting up world-class performances, but I'm not seeing Ato at this event. I don't think he basically, he's making faces over here. You thought Ato played really well? I don't think Ato played very well. I think he actually, I asked him in in the restaurant right now. I asked him if he was a Toxic because of his Tweet and he said no. He agrees with the Tweet. He thought that Tweet played really well and the team didn't play up to the same level. You know who did upgrade though? Exas. Exotic. Exotic? Yeah. Exugly well. Exugly well. You did. That's mainly because I think they have a Stizzy now. So it's not Exotic and Monkey Moon kind of doing the same thing. Now it's Stizzy being a little bit more than a... Yeah, that's a good point. Exotic kind of doing what he needs to do. line though didn't expect that I mean all kickoff kickoff as well kickoff event speaking of Sydney he's over there look at look at what says he's not a onesie no I thought he was wearing a onesie maybe I don't know if he's gonna come in front of the camera sure everybody has fit for the day but yeah he definitely upgraded for sure I think I think he looked a bit more on that world's when form almost he was he was creating a lot of opportunities on the ball which I'm happy like I've I've almost I've been critical but it's not cause I don't believe in him I believe it's dizzy also he's got done the haters wait maybe also maybe I'll get a menu for you guys here's get up yeah get him in there come on come come all over faith for the camera show them in the camera show the fit tell us through what you're wearing today? What do you wear? One pound, one hoodie, one shoes. What do you wear? One hoodie, one shoe. First of all, he's got Louis Vuitton shoes on. What is this? Who made this? It's a brand like T something. I don't remember. Okay. There's some special stuff. I don't know what that is. I can tell from how everything's coordinated. This fits gotta be more than how much I'm making a year. So that means what he likes that I'll let you make less than one thousand per year bro you cook them Okay, he said if I made less than a thousand a year Listen, you look nice I feel good with you, with you. I like that bro, I appreciate it, thank you, thank you. Hey, the team looks good, what are your thoughts on the event? How did you go? I mean of course I'm sad because we didn't win the final but I think it's a good improvement from the first split. I think we didn't play very good the first split like in the regionals but I think we worked very hard to like this last three months to be in the like to finish like this in the major. I think we if we just play like we should do in the grand final we should we should win but it is what it is like you can play very good the world tournament but if you don't play like the way you want in the grand final the other team deserve it more so it's what it's. We've got Garoji here who's a massive NRG fan. You've just experienced the you know the NRG match up for the first time there all your thoughts What's on those guys because it feels like they're pretty scared against Vitality, you know? I mean, we just went to the match and synergy like full confidence, like thinking we was better, so I think we showed it. So nothing else, like I think Rocket League is used again, like if you just think you're better than everyone, you will be better, you know, it's just a mental game. So if you just play with confidence or some might you bear or not like you're just going to play better. That's all. That's full confidence much. Oh. Hola amigo. You know, you got the mic? I guess, yeah. I don't know. My boy got the mic. Check him out. I guess it was a son of a person, first son of a man. I never expected this to happen. I've never been like him out for a long time. I'm crazy on first son. Listen this is what happens when we're in snow dude. We get the gold so for a reason. I Feel out of place Good Is that good? I mean, enjoying the days with everybody from Rock of the Year, but a little sad about the tournament. A little sad about the tournament? Yeah. You have to play this guy. Yup. Hello, hello. I don't know what to say. You don't know what to say? I don't know what to say. How do you think about guys with match up against each other? Good match, good match. Good match? Bad match. Bad match. Good for me, but for you. Yeah Listen, I worked out all works up for everybody, you know I'll talk about Yeah, we're talking to each other major. Yeah, but it happens What come after this listen, we'll get about two seconds two seconds. Let's get this day off first No, no, no, no, no, really listen. You have anything to say to the fans Let him know that I'm gonna be listen. This is what you do my two lamp two lamp finals I'll talk to you last night And you're saying that you haven't gotten the one but listen you're making it always to the end man that's one match away. So he's like, you know, talk to him, you know, Yeah, my two major one finance, I do both. I just, I just, I just made two major one finance in a row. Like I make it in the last, it does matter from the last season and I make it in the first, first major from the, for the season. So I know let's continue like this. And even if I didn't win any of them, I hope I win my, my third one. So, so It was extremely tiring honestly, but it was like the most fun. I've had in a while honestly like every OT We were all saying it after that 10 minutes OT our mouths were so dry we could barely calm We were it was it was bad Yeah, but it was it was fun. It was really fun. Yeah in the crowd getting hyped. It's awesome but Most experienced like coming back to the NA and play and I mean come back in it as world champs, or playing world champs. Yeah. I mean, very, very, like, you know, when you're walking out and they say we're in the world champs, that's why you want to win, you know what I mean? So, I mean, it was pretty sick, but we want to win a major, hopefully, world's NNA. That's the ultimate goal, because we've done decent NNA, but I don't think I don't know the last time in an NATM 1, like, NNA. I think it was years ago. It was years ago. Yeah, yeah. So I mean, it hasn't happened in a bunch of years. So if we won Worlds in NA, that's even better than France, honestly. I feel that, I feel that. I like that. Talking about NA right now, there's a lot of conversation about NA not being as good as the moment, or is the EU where it's also there? I mean, yeah, I think it's true. Besides us, I think NA just doesn't really compete. Sometimes they look good online, but I think they just get to land and they're just like gapped a little bit, you know? Yeah. I mean, I think it's a lot of things, but like it's tough. It's like mainly cultural. Like I think every culture impacts like everything, you know, and it's like, I think the way people play in NA is just it's not really, it's like individualistic. It's not really for the team. And you can see it in twos. You can see it in threes. Like I think you just come here and play like teams that are like more structured and they just destroy. So to change it, I don't really know. I mean, it's kind of what we always talk about, you know? Yeah. But it's very hard. I don't know. I think some of the new pros have good mindsets, and they want to change that, where it's like, NA always loses. And I think people like that will slowly change it. Yeah, I mean, that's fair. I think a lot of people can agree with that. Do you think it has to do with leadership, so to speak? Like, we just need to be like, I think it was Reddell's call for Chicago to come coach and stuff like that. You think that's some of the things? I mean, that's a good start. Like getting people like that who they've played long enough to know that it's not just about one person on the team and that like, if you want to actually win, you need to have everybody feeling good. I think people like JNAPS also, he understands that. I'm like a lot of older pros, I think understand that. And I think bringing those guys would like just bring like a higher floor for any team so that when we get to land, we can actually get maybe three or hopefully four any teams in playoffs. And yeah, I mean, that way it's not just like, it gets to Sunday and it's just us or just Shopify. And it's like multiple teams competing and they also make us better because we're screaming them all the time. So yeah. I like that. Listen, I got one more question for Massa. What you got on there? I got one more too. You've got a story career full of ups and downs and we've been going at this for a long time And you're in a position now to put yourself and your team as one of the best of all time. What's the biggest motivation for you? Is it being that best of all time? I think, yeah, at this point, that's why we want to do it. I mean, it's still like the game is so fresh still, though. Like, you know what I mean? It's like, you win one tournament, you're the go, you lose the next, you're the worst. It doesn't really matter realistically, But winning a LAN with the crowd right now is our biggest goal. That's just like, I mean, I think even France, like France kind of choked a little bit in Paris or in France. Yeah, like it's hard when the crowd's with you. I think you could see it, like Vitality went out 12. I'm like, Carmen didn't really choke. They went out like top four. But it's hard. And if we did that, I think that that's really what motivates us right now. Whether or not we're the greatest of all time, I think we have a strong case, but I'd say the main goals right now that keep us motivated is winning another LAN is always nice, but winning a LAN in front of an NA crowd is what we really want. Okay. When are you back? Of course, always. Of course. Hey, Matt was talking about three Redis in a row, three Opus in a row. Can you finally do it this year? Yeah, I think this is the one. This is the one? Yeah. Sorry for you talking to me nice. Okay, let's go. That's a timing. Here they go. Came on. I'm sorry for this last tournament, but I think the rest of year is going to be really good for us and keep supporting us because I think it's going to end really well for us. Okay, listen, that's awesome. Let's appreciate you, Miles. Thank you, bro. Thank you, Tommy. Yes, sir. Good guys. Real quick before we move on, please make sure that, again, to keep a lookout, if you attended the Boston Major for the attendee title and your Rocket Pass premium, as well as, again, getting on the game and checking out that locked in limited time event. limited-time events. What are you gonna say, Bates? What are you saying? No, I just did a read. What are you gonna do? You did a read? Yeah, I was gonna say what were you gonna say before I cut you off? Oh, I was, um, nothing. I was like, I was like, we got one more set of group. What time is it? It is eight oh eight. All right, good. Listen, we got one more set of, one more set of guests we're gonna hop on, I believe, before we head on out of here. Listen here and join us very make sure to put some love in the chat everybody snowed in in Boston And I mean that's what happens shout out every shot I'll bless for making sure everybody still accommodated Make sure everybody's still taking care of Okay, okay. Come on man. I'm so Good. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Oh God We have Brock and Itachi here with us today gentlemen. You got to introduce them, the people might not know, especially my boy Brock. Brock's one of the gentlemen's CEO. And I used to be a Call of Duty pro players. That's right. Hitachi, legend of the game. The Moroccan monster we call me. Oh, Moroccan monster. It's over. It's over, yeah. I let it through us now. Now there's Nas, there's Jali. I know exactly. Yeah. Yeah. It's good. It's good. They got it. They got it. I mean, guys, talk to me about how you guys were feeling after that when we saw how you were feeling on a bus. But I mean, watching them do that in that moment, what was that like? That was magic, man. I felt I felt great, even though I couldn't lose actually, because I created both organizations. He was the CEO of Vitality back then. You're CEO of Vitality? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Co-founder. That's all right. Co-founder of Vitality? Exactly. I couldn't lose that day. I couldn't lose. But it's better if gentlemen wins. So I felt like, it felt amazing actually to be honest. Even though we were not like the favorites, But I like I like to go in to come in the tournament and I'd be the favorite So we have less pressure less pressure on our shoulders and the players can play better I think yeah that I have to to overthink about winning and all those stuff. So I Felt good I like that, I like that. Me? Yeah you! The legend of the game. I think I enjoyed it more, casting it than playing it. I mean it's more stressful because you don't control anything, you know? You need to sit and watch and hope to win. When you're in the game, you can have something to do. Like you know if you are good you can win, if you are bad you will lose. But like it's, it was so good. Really, really good feeling. The players deserve it. Like they've full grind for a month. And they deserve the good people, good human beings, good players. And Oskie Archie has been a long time coming for them. They deserve the major for a long time. And yeah, because Nassie's new, but they're so good. I'm so happy for them. What a new guy. Yeah, what a new guy. Listen, I lost quarter yesterday. Without something I was very true about you. How you're holding back the asking us, let's see Was I holding them back? That's the real question Listen, I mean like you were tired the end of the guy's way at the 78 that world champion Yeah, that's crazy coming like we didn't qualify to single major with me. That's crazy I left the team qualify they win I Think there's something in common. No That's crazy, because when you play with Nas and Oskie, you literally just have to log in. Yeah, you have to touch three balls like you should win. Just give them the ball. I don't know what I did. Something wrong. Nothing. Yeah, yeah. Nothing. No, for sure I was holding them back guys. I knew my charm was over. I don't know what I did with them. Like come on, he was playing with the, what's the name of the car? The car with World Dog. World Dog. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like come on. something crazy, but nothing came out of it. Imagine how nice Oski and Nas are. If I had a teammate coming with these cars, I was like, yo, get the fuck out of here. Alright, Atachi, I mean, you said it yourself, you know, it's stressful watching, but that being said, you've kind of taken this role now as a content creator for Gentleman's And it seems like it's been a great thing for you. I mean, talk to me about what that new kind of change in your life has been like. To be honest, I enjoyed it so much because I always love Rocket League, but I've been playing the game for 10 years. And after 10 years, I was just telling like wanting to do something else than playing. And streaming was something I always wanted to do, but I didn't want to do it while being pro because I knew it would make me less good because I really focused on content, like doing some stuff. not focusing on the game, but now that it's over, I can fully do it and I always knew it was something I would enjoy, you know? And now we're gentlemen, like, coming and casting for a team, because like before I just watched parties, like tournaments, but doing it for a team is so enjoyable, like you're here for a cause, you support players, and it's really really enjoyable. What's it been like, kind of like building your own community? Yeah, this as well, it's really nice, like people like loving just to come and chill on the streams, Loving how I am, how I joke, how I I don't think it's all different from people supporting for your level You know, it's like they come for you as a person more than you as a player and it's it's a feeling I really really enjoy and Yeah, we just keep doing it if I like until I stop enjoying it like I did with the professional plane And then I start doing what he does How does that feel to going from being a professional former player? So being a part of all of these organizations and kind of being used to being in the spotlight now kind of like Take a step back. What's that like? I think it's it's a bless because like I Used to be a professional player and I know what I wanted what I was a player so I can't give it to my player actually So what I try to give them is like good environment. I try to make them like I I try to give them everything they need to perform at their best level. And I think that's what makes a tournament so special, because I know what the players are going through, what they want to do, what they don't want to do, how they have to be in tournaments to be focused and have a good shape. So I think to us, it's a blessing because we have Gotaga as well. I used to team with him. So yeah, I can be at their place. So I was at their place. So I know what they need to be at their top level. And we saw that with Ness. I think, I'm not sure. We got to ask him, but I'm not sure he felt that good in other organizations. You saw him on stage. like he was just so much happy, no pressure on his shoulder, playing with the crowd, shouting, energy, energy, all those stuffs. So when I see my player really happy to be in JulliMates, happy to go on LAN, to go on bootcamps and all those stuff, it just makes me happy a lot. That tells me that we're doing the right thing. Yeah. And imagine like obviously they had to crowd at Boston around them, but you get the gentlemates in Paris, but at Paris major the green suits being there, like it's going to be electric. I mean, as an owner, seeing the green suits or seeing the green suits come together, come to these events. Like, what's it like having a really dedicated group of fans that will go above and beyond for you like that? Actually, that is crazy. Always thank them, show them love. They're just wonderful people, wonderful fans. They're really the best. They're always behind our players. Even when we lose, last year we had a rough rough year on pretty much every games. And they were still behind our players. We had a minus amount of people that were like trashing our players and all those stuffs. They were like always shouting for them, try to give them the momentum, even though it didn't work. And they give it back to them this year. We're winning pretty much everywhere. That's crazy. That's a crazy start of the year for Jellemates on Rocket League, but even on the other games. And I think they deserve it. And the players are amazing. They feel the love. I feel like they feel the love. And they're just giving them back by winning all the stuffs and by being really focused and really consistent in the practice. And I hope it's going to catch you like that. It's just the beginning of the game of the season. Everything is going to be defined at words. Like, you're going to have the best beginning of the season. All the team people remember is the end, the words. So hopefully we can continue like that. We'll do everything for that. And we'll see. We'll see. We'll see. Yep. Intachi? Yeah. What's the expectations for the boys, man? What are you thinking? I think they can go far. Like, there is first the Paris Major. I think it would be the greatest land of Rocket League history, to be honest. because the arena where we play would be like a crazy big arena. And we know how French fans make like events. We saw in Lyon, we saw even in the World's Interstellar, if it wasn't in France, but we show all the French people doing like making noise, you know? And it's so good to see it would be crazy. And I think the boys can really do great things this year. If they keep working like they did the first split, I think they can really mark history. maybe win two majors, maybe do the roles as well. Just about mentality, now that would be crazy. The tree, no one ever did it. No one, no one ever did it. Maybe this year. They got the, well they did the first. They got the first. Yeah, the first, yeah. Now that our only team like has the chance to do it this year. So that's nice, that's nice man. That guy is a, we took him as a cotton crater, but he helped us to cook this roster. Ah, you did. End of season, yeah. What you do? You told him, I just need somebody who took the ball. But it came to us, he said, like, your guys, you got to pick Nass and Houski, trust me. Last year, they didn't win just because of me. Yeah, I was just saying, those two guys are demons, I was like, okay, I trust him. And then you picked up Archie as well, what was your thoughts about Archie? Archie was more the players on the coach decision, yeah, because like they know him for a long time they know how he's as human as and as a player because Maski was a coach for him back in the day was kitchen with him and they they just knew it was the right fit for them and on this I just we just trusted them you know like we didn't want to impose them a player that they didn't want to team with yep and I think it's for the best and it proved it proved himself yeah it worked out hey look next time maybe yeah maybe I'll pick you over energy Maybe Well, listen man, we've been yapping we got them on we guys want to close the level down if y'all want to say anything to the fans at home I mean you could speak in french, uh also Before that world cup coming in more cups coming here. I mean you got friends, of course, right? Yeah, okay? OK, OK, here I got friends too. I do, I just want to listen. I know, listen, listen, listen, everything. Come on now, I'm sorry, bro. I mean, anyways, listen, if you want to give a hand to the fans in pressuring English, you go ahead. I just want to say thank you to all the fans that have been cheering for us. Thank you to everyone. You guys are wonderful. I love you guys. I can't wait to come back home and see you on stream and talk about this major with you. And a big shout out to my players and Snasky and even the staff, because they're doing an amazing job and thank you to the American crowd because even though there were like no American team in finals, they kept doing noise and cheering for both sides so thank you to them, it was really really really nice to be there and I loved it. I love that, I love that. Thank you guys, thank you for the strength of the weekend, you're monsters, you gave strength all the time, you see Boston, it's hard to travel to Boston for the team, but you were there, everywhere, on the network, the players see it, and the players are motivated, they have a lot of interviews, playing for fans like you, it's a pleasure, that's what boosts them, so thank you guys for everything, you're idiots. the players. Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. Thank you guys you were amazing. This was like what 15? 15 people? 15 people. 15 people. 15 people to automate everything. Yeah. Go on. You got to hear them. How are you? They were so loud. They were working. They were working. Now listen, they all walked over so that was nice. I mean they have no voice today. Yeah. But you guys. You know what to do, baby? All right. You said yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Can we say that NAS performance was the best performance all-time in Rocket League at the LAN? Which one? You also performed. NAS performance at this major? Oh yeah. In final? No. In final? No, in final? Especially in The whole tournament. The whole tournament. He's up there. Who's hit something better? I think even Zen at his prime didn't reach that level bro. To me. I gotta look back at that. I wanna say something like to me, it was better than Zen's performance because just because at this time, to me, Zen has like had like too much advance. Yeah, too much advance in Rocket League. And on this day, like come on, everybody's good. Yeah, everybody is great. It's hard to do it. It's hard to win now today. Yeah. Yeah. It's hard to score solo plays, solo plays, all those stuff. Everybody is pre-jumping everywhere. Yeah. Yeah, everybody is cool. I think he scored like 15 bangers the whole weekend. Exactly. That's why he retired. Right now. Exactly. I'm pretty much at this level. They started moving too quick, so yeah. So yeah, I mean, definitely great as Grand Final. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Definitely great as Grand Final. No, Final was insane. I have to think about land. Zen's land at the end of the World Championship. Nah, this was crazy. I mean, it's a big comparison, you know. It is. But for me, it's a match. Is it? Yeah, it's a day. The parable of Zen's Duosledo, World Championship. World's major. Yeah, yeah, it's more prestigious. I agree with you. I'm talking just on performance, not on the land itself, you know. I can give you that. I'll give you that. I'll give you that. I need to see it back. Maybe I'm biased. I'm probably biased. There's a bit of a debate. Let us know what you guys think at home and in the comments. Again, the Pachi Barg thank you guys so much. Thank you guys. I'm coming up for the best. I appreciate it. You guys are awesome. Again, congrats to the gentlemenates. Thank you guys. Don't go out. Appreciate it, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you guys. Yes, sir. And again, one final time, of course, if you were here at the Boston Major, be sure to be on the lookout for that tandy title as well as premium rock passes. And don't forget to get on Rocket League again for the locked in limited time event that is going to be closing soon. That being said, Bates, we've snowed in and we made the most out of it. First touch here snowed in. I mean, final thoughts as you close it out. Nope. Nope. None at all. Again, big shout out to everyone in Epic and The Psionics and even Blast for all the help that went into making this show possible. Big shout out to all the players who came on, all the staff. We thank you guys, all the cast and the first touch crew. And the first touch crew who are making this possible behind the scenes. And that's going to be it for us here first touch season 6 episode 1. One, two, two to blue. See ya.
